I have the R50 for about 6 months and I use it visiting Ireland last month with rf 24-105mm kit lens. I can’t believe the beautiful photos I was able to bring back that I will cherish for many years to come from this existing trip.😊😊😊

7:51 alternatively just turn your ISO or exposure time down, i built a lens with a 128mm aperture with no blades, its full boar full time but it just doesn't matter because the camera can compensate.

Just got an R50. Your videos are awesome. Why is it that my cannon has less quality modes. 25fps and 50fps, ranging from 4k to FHD isb standard and light for each. 6 modes. Then in the highspeed mode it only goes to 100fps. Not overly fused still great but confusing when I'm following along.
Been making videos on an old canon 200d. Time to stop syncing audio and get a camera with a mic jack, loving it so far.
Congrats on the purchase! It sounds like you’re in PAL mode rather than NTSC. Try going to the “wrench” page in the menu and go to page 2 of that menu. There should be an option called “video system” go ahead and switch that to NTSC.

7:00 id say hop on mpb and grab your stuff from there, they have warranty and they have really good deals on even high end optics, there isnt much reason to buy new.

R50 with lens vs iPhone 15 pro max or even in the future iPhone 16 pro max for video?
nothing beats camera footage, the sensor is way bigger than the tiny sensors on the phone and there is more customizability on what video you can achieve because you can change the lens for different focal lengths and aperture and etc but it all depends on personal preference since surely the mobile phone will be more portable and easy to use and maybe even less expensive considering you have to get a camera and stuff like lens and etc along with it but cameras are always preferred for the best quality videos

I would recommend the RF 16mm f2.8 for that, or if you have the budget for it I’d check out the RF 24mm f1.8 to get even more of a blurry background :)

It costs about the same as the 35mm lens he mentions. If you’re going to use it primarily for video, the DJI is cheaper and a better fit

4k40 at 200mbps , ibis , headphone port , top plate planel display , drop this shit down the cliff and survive type of build quality and coating , reinforced mount , open x mount , separate video / stills setting
