Hello all, I received a question about the judging criteria. I mentioned some things in the video, but I’ll list the important points below. I’ll also just be using my own instincts to separate out the many fine players and videos out there. I really appreciate any effort made to enter the contest. I recognize that only receiving a very limited number of entries, even if they are excellent doesn’t really make for a fun contest. Do YOUR best, that’s the most important thing. I am inspired all the time by players of all levels who are willing to put themselves out there. It’s because of the truly average players I see having fun and enjoying playing that I started emphasizing this channel recently. Due to Covid, I’ve had to start making my own videos of me playing. It’s not something I’m comfortable doing as a very average player myself, but I think it will help me grow as a player and trumpet maker. I also hope that it helps my clients select a horn that suits them best. Thanks for all the support and encouragement. I am so very grateful for everyone who has entered so far. Each submission means a lot to me. I’ve enjoyed some of the stories people have shared as well. A quick note, please include the information I asked for in the video rather than in an email. It will help me keep things organized. If you already submitted it separately that is okay. 1. Video/sound quality 2. Playing quality 3. Where might you be using/performing with the horn.
That’s really cool Brent. I hope to own a Pujé some day. I will definitely send a video. I really love the custom finger buttons you did for me last year before your move. Thanks JS

Can you provide details about the judging criteria? Thanks.
Great question. I’ll answer separately and pin it for all to see.
Really cool and fun idea!!
Amazing!!!!!!
Good luck, hope you will enter!
Would you be opposed to a multitrack submission? (A trumpet soli of some sort with me playing all the parts?)
Go for it!
Can you give us until July 1 possibly?
Sorry, the rules were already announced on my April newsletter and on May 1 via social media. You still have three weeks to enter 😊
