Although I'm not a fan of Kevin O'Leary, can Senator Elizabeth Warren please give him the decency to respond to the question she's asking him without interrupting. What's the point of bringing him there and posing a question when she's going to just interrupt and not let him completely finish and only giving him 30 seconds to respond.
She’s a raging narcissist- along with every other prominent person in that room. It’s a fundamental trait of what got them to the chairs their sitting in, sadly.
That my friend is how American politics work. Warren wanted to be the star of the hearing. O’Leary was confident in his responses, and didn’t have to read a script or prepared statement. He made Warren look bad with his responses, thus she had to resort to cutting him off as a power play.
Every DIME TAKEN by POLITICIANS received from FTX should be given back to the bankruptcy attorney. To be given back to those who lost it. People lost their life savings.
If I give cash to someone when I buy something from him I don't report it, neither does my grocery shop when I buy groceries from them. As for exchanges, yes they are financial institutions. Binance requires KYC and so did FTX I think. More than that you cannot do and it is done already. Problem is that the real criminals are the owners of some of the exchanges as is apparently clear if the charges against SBF are read. More interesting is the fact that he laundered money to the Democratic Party and they accepted it with a smile. Who regulates them and who did their KYC before accepting the funds? And he did not launder crypto to them, he paid them in USD.
Why do people go to these hearings. At the end it was obvious she didn't care or didn't understand what O'leary was saying. She wasn't there for information gathering rather to push her bill.
If Alameda took huge losses with users' funds, I'd be interested to know who was at the winning side of that bet, and who in particular took that money home in the end. Who knows, they may have used different accounts to bet against their own Alameda bets, win it with their hidden accounts, withdraw those funds, and then file for bankruptcy once all the money had already left the system.
That is one strategy they are looking at, because Kevin O seems to think they will be able to easily trace where the money went to and what transactions there were over the last 2 years once they get the servers back online and the accounting documentation located. I think the little rat girlfriend senior trader at Almeda herself ate all the crypto and bitcoin.
We know from his own mouth that Kevin O’Leary accepted $18,000,000 of that stolen money. He can be the first to go to prison for participating in the fraud.
I think the problem is here is speaking of Crypto like it’s an institution, Crypto is the currency, like a dollar, and you can’t regulate that… you can regulate the firms and banks that keep it though,
That’s the point Kevin was making - you don’t ban Dollar because it’s used for bad things, you regulate agencies that handle it.. and that’s what he expects for Crypto.he also says it’s done in many countries and US should do it.
Why did O’Leary get told that he only had 30 seconds just as he started speaking but she gets to speak and interrupt as much as she likes . That’s called bullying. Typical !

It seems like Elizabeth is ignoring the fact that cash has been used for money laundering since the creation of it. She just interrupted Kevin O'leary for speaking the fact.
As a spokes person he got paid $15mil, he invested $9mil of his own money. Before the colapse he had a total of $15 mil plus $9 mil which is $24 mil. After the colapse he immediately lost the $9 mil invested. Which leaves him with a total of $15 (money paid for luring more people into the scam). But in reality he never lost any money. After the colapse his gain was $6 mil (15-9). The money he invested $9mil he already got that back from the $15 paid for luring people. All in all, he never invested but made a gain of $6 mil from investors money. He needs to give that money back! This was a scam from the getgo!
As you can see we are already in the future we've been planning towards and I feel those who would allow the market dynamism to determine when to trade or not are either new in space in general or probably just naïve, the sphere have seen far worse times than this, enlightened traders continue to make good use of the dip and pump even acquiring more equities towards trading sessions, I'd say that more emphasis should be put into trading since it is way profitable than holding. Trading went smooth for me as I was able to raise over 17.2 BTC when I started at 3.5 BTC in just few weeks implementing trades with signals and insights from DYLAN, would advise y'all to trade your asset rather than hold for a future you aren't sure about.

Prepared questions and responses? Reminds me of the classroom scenes in Real Genius where students slowly just leave tape recorders in class and eventually the teacher is just a tape player.
This can only be applied to centralized entities that want to hold these assets. Otherwise its not possible to apply these rules to the blockchain itself. Theres going to be a massive effort to "partially" regulate something that cant truly be regulated.. not sure if its going to work that well
Blockchakns could easily be regulated but at what cost? The problem is it would do far more damage than it’s worth. People would have to upload their passport and stuff to the blockchain and then it would be public information. Some portion of the public could misuse that private information. The same thing happens with centralized exchanges because the KYC data eventually gets leaked, there’s just a delay.
It can be regulated. If they are concerned about money laundering and criminal use, KYC is just like any other regulation for any other industry in banking. Once you have KYC in place all transactions are tracible since it's an immutable ledger of transactions. Law enforcement would have an easier time and that's already in place. You can still issue money transfer licenses, you can still tax incomes. There is nothing wrong about crypto, it's just the government have no control over it, and they don't like that because you can't enforce sanctions for example if you don't own such system. It's all about gov fear of losing power. The nature of legacy system exerts control, and Crypto undo all that centralized control since it's the nature of decentralization. So, it's not even hard concept. People like Elizbeth is afraid of losing power and control because people she works for is against true freedom. Swift for example, US weaponize that by freezing assets, apply sanctions which is tyrannical in nature. That's the very reason why USD is losing faith fast. A global network for finance is not supposed to be a weapon or a system for total control. US is anti freedom at the same time claiming to be a free and democratic society. It's a load of crap in the face of truth.
Every financial goal requires patience, dedication and consistent spirit knowing that investment is currently the most lucrative business in the world, both NFT, real estate and Crypto shares are really positively changing people's lives.

The rich actually spend way more and save way less than the average Joe has to pay for his pension as a percentage of total income, but since they are rich their living expenses as a percentage is less, so they can live comfotably.
Guys, don't fall for this Mrs. Geraldine Lane scam. I hope nobody thinks these comments are from any actual clients... It's obvious to me, but not to everyone I suppose. Beware.

Bull.
That "professor" is READING her answers?
God Warren loves the sound of her own voice
She forgot to beat her war drums beforehand.

They bring experts so they can talk over them. She didn't shut up for more than 10 seconds.

It's like explaining crypto to your grandma
If Cypto is so bad, why is the government working on a CBDC.....?
Good point! She NOT have enough knowledge I guess, because if she was have that , she knew each crypto transaction you can follow from A till Z!!
Garbage CBDC != Alt Coin Crypto Garbage != Bitcoin
Everybody, the gentlemen here is making a very good point.
Government is greedy. Want a big piece of the crypto pie. Warren doesn't know anything about crypto.
That’s what she does in every hearing. She’s a bully.
But it's about Karen. She is not their for the people, fight corruption, or learn from Kevin or anyone else. It's all a show.
@@James_king1 It was fun when she took Wells Fargo to task :)
That my friend is how American politics work. Warren wanted to be the star of the hearing. O’Leary was confident in his responses, and didn’t have to read a script or prepared statement. He made Warren look bad with his responses, thus she had to resort to cutting him off as a power play.
Asking incredibly complex, long form questions (that are more like statements) and then giving people 30 seconds to reply.
Someone that asks someone a question then proceeds to not let someone answer the question has no interest in an open dialogue or learning anything.
Every DIME TAKEN by POLITICIANS received from FTX should be given back to the bankruptcy attorney. To be given back to those who lost it. People lost their life savings.
Wait, is it normal? Why are they reading from the paper?
Don’t US crypto exchanges already do KYC? What are they talking about? Are they simply trying to regulate outside their jurisdiction?
They need to follow all the same rules, and they should have to follow an increased protocol of reporting due to the lack of traceability.
Why? Are you against privacy?
You obviously know very little about how public ledgers work. You're thinking of cash. Which is what criminals use.
Michael Saylor talks about it. They lost user money on FTT… aka they stole that money by selling made up coins to alameda.
@@df170 Giant ponzi scheme on steroids.
Really... That is easy binance won
We know from his own mouth that Kevin O’Leary accepted $18,000,000 of that stolen money. He can be the first to go to prison for participating in the fraud.
We have thousands of laws we didn’t have 40 years ago and corruption is highest it’s ever been
I think the problem is here is speaking of Crypto like it’s an institution,
Crypto is the currency, like a dollar, and you can’t regulate that… you can regulate the firms and banks that keep it though,
That’s the point Kevin was making - you don’t ban Dollar because it’s used for bad things, you regulate agencies that handle it.. and that’s what he expects for Crypto.he also says it’s done in many countries and US should do it.
Everyone should study the South Sea Bubble, long ago in history but the principle of greed corrupts is the same.
Why did O’Leary get told that he only had 30 seconds just as he started speaking but she gets to speak and interrupt as much as she likes . That’s called bullying. Typical !
Did anyone else notice she had a written response to everything Warren. Said?
Ugh we need smaller government now
Warren Buffet constantly reminding us, that Cryptocurrency is worthless.
Amen my friend....
Elizabeth warren is worthless
I've been unsure about the market due to volatility, at the same time I still feel it's the right time to make profit cos of the price decrease, heard someone speaking of making over $300k from a $180k capital since the pandemic and I'm driven to ask what techniques/skillset is needed to achieve this.
proper research, good analysis and luck is what you need to make profit in this constant market decline.
it's all about finding the right moment to take advantage of and generate colossal profit, which is why you need to do your research
@annasophia1117 who is your financial coach, do you mind hooking me up?

@Anna Sophia Thanks for sharing. I found him on instagram, will connect with him.
I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.
Investing in stocks and crypto is a good idea, a good trading system would put you through many days of success.
It is possible to produce superior performance provided you do something different from the majority. However most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
Having monitored my portfolio performance which has made a jaw dropping $370k from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market.

Warren and the professor were performing sketch comedy show.
They didn't even memorize their lines
So now she's admitting crypto is money and not a security. Understood.
I wish members of congress are also sworn to tell the truth and nothing but the truth during their hearings. Imagine how many of them have lied during hearings.
That Women is just insane. She DOESN'T WANT to listen.
She's making it sound like crypto is the new norm for money laundering, when in fact, it's not. I do kinda see the same risk, and same regulation that should be employed here, but they're antagonizing crypto a bit too much. Gotta wait for more updates on this hearing while I dive into Polygen staking, then wait for the next raise to come on their launchpad.
Didn’t Dem party accepted over 40mil’s from Magic Sam? When they planning to return it?
Salute to Kevin O'Leary, doing God's work 🙏❤

Exactly that. He messed up big time this time
It appears to be the questions were provided to this professor and she did prepare her answers, she just read the prepared answers.
Why is she reading her answers? did she know the questions in advance?

I have always agreed with Kevin O'leary about everything except cryptocurrency
This is a movie script where the actors read the script from the paper for the 1st time.
Its wiered that questions are being read and answers to those questions are also being read. 😁😁😁😁
Was this rehearsed
Wtf, Warren is reading a script and Allen is reading her part right back to her. How about get some people in there who know wtf they are talking about.
Why is the witness reading from notes? Has she been provided the questions in advance, and is reading her answers?
I always find these hearings hilarious. It’s like Liz is whispering “now say your part that we rehearsed together this morning….”
After the cameras are off out in the hall they all chat and get pats on the back. Hey...thanks for getting the DNC's bank accounts maxed for that midterm, we really appreciated it.
Bertrand Russell used to say "fools are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people are so full of doubts." Kevin O'leary is the kind of fool Russell was referring to.
Isn't that the Dunning-Kruger Effect?
a very rich so called fool...
To paraphrase Warren Buffet, the sea went out and O'Leary was caught with his pants down, O'Leary is a clown!
I dont understand why these senators or representatives always ask them questions only for them to interrupt them and not let them answer
Trading went smooth for me as I was able to raise over 17.2 BTC when I started at 3.5 BTC in just few weeks implementing trades with signals and insights from DYLAN, would advise y'all to trade your asset rather than hold for a future you aren't sure about.

it's odd to hear Elizabeth Warren talk about how careful banks are with people's money..
And we KNOW this money went to criminals BECAUSE ITS ON THE BLOCKCHAIN! All the CASH related crime is IMPOSSIBLE to track! So the grandstanding about crypto being a device for criminals is laughable
What do they think crimminals used before crypto?

Elizabeth Warren is worth over 10 mil so yes I agree we should be against her

Regular currency is literally involved in illegally activity as we speak. Also I love how they basically did not let Mr. Wonderful talk. That’s not shady all.
Mr. Wonderful can wipe the floor with any of these politicians. His knowledge of economics and business is off the charts.
False. By touting and pumping ftx shows that he was only out to make a quick buck. Anyone who has taken 1 class in economics would have been able to see the scam ftx was.

This can only be applied to centralized entities that want to hold these assets. Otherwise its not possible to apply these rules to the blockchain itself. Theres going to be a massive effort to "partially" regulate something that cant truly be regulated.. not sure if its going to work that well
Agreed. She’s yelling at a problem she can’t put a bandaid on which is probably why Kevin looks as astonished as he is.
What does this have to do with ftx? Warren always tries to promote her bill. I can't stand that lady

I'm thinking of investing in the crypto market but taking my time to figure out how the whole thing works.
Investing in crypto is very volatile and risky which is why most successful investors trade with professional brokers
The real risk in the Crypto market is the risk of not investing, not the risk of short term price volatility.
I've been investing in crypto but have had a bumpy ride. How can I reach your broker? will appreciate any tip or pointers
