I've had this drone kit for maybe 2 weeks, first FPV drone I've ever flown, I can whip this thing all thru my house already, up and down the staircase pretty quickly and quick right thru the door at the bottom of the steps, thru the living room at high speed, into the kitchen, fast 180 , then back up the stairs..!!.. Love this little drone, so much different than my Potensic Atom SE, perfect for outdoors. Aquila 16 was for sure the best introduction into this hobby for me, I only get like 5-5½ minutes out of each battery, but I bought 8 batteries and the multi port charger and adapters, I can fly for over an hour and have 2 more batteries almost ready to go by the end of that run thru all the batteries..!!. Definitely a great purchase..
I got my uncle Chuck this kit and i hope it gets him into the goggles to fly more since he's never been in goggles before. Uncle Chuck i hope you like the FPV experience like we all do. You didn't feel the stick feeling in analog like you do in digital FPV.
I 3d-printed a holder for some cheap reading glasses I found on Amazon, and another for the lens of some modeling/close work goggles, and both work pretty well. Without these contraptions, the kit goggles are unusable for me.
Still considering this RTF kit for the 1st FPV quad for indoors flying. The video camera's poor ability to fly in high contrast lighting and the weird M mode fast "wobble, wash, whatever issue" are acceptable for tight indoor use. Longer flight time and brushless 1s motors are a plus v. the brush 1s LOS micro quads I'm flying indoors right now. Replacing the brushed motors every few hours of flight is getting old. Question: are the motors attached to the board by connectors or soldered? If soldered another negative. Improved video camera, external vtx antenna, and OSD RSSI would be nice improvements.
Thank you for your detailed explanation, really nice drone, I have got it to start fpv, but i was wondering, it is possible change the commands of the controller? because i didn't make it.. thanks in advance..
I posted this to one of your other videos but I'll post it here too as it might be more relevant to this video: Have you ever plugged the radio from the Aquila 16 kit into the betafpv configurator? If not, could I ask a favor for you to plug it in and let me know how the channels are setup for the Aquila 16? Is it using the stock setup the same as the standalone radio that is available? Thanks very much! I'm actually planning to try it with a Radiomaster Pocket Radio with Ranger ELRS module. I need to know what channel is mapped to each of the switches. If I can't get that to work, I may just pick up the Literadio that you are working with here, if I feel confident that it will work as the one included with the kit. I know it is a beginner setup, and I'm not a beginner, but I own an Avata, and I liked the "mini Avata" aspects of this drone. Thought it might be fun to take along on trips, etc.
with the Aquila 16 I was disappointed with the camera. I was wondering if the camera could be switched out for a better/different one? one that didn't have such high contrast.
Would like to know more about the VTX.. It says 25mW and 350mW so, does that mean we can change between 25 and 350 in the OSD or..? Or it depends which country (FCC or CE) and it comes fixed based where I am? Don't want the 25 with the short range 😶
Hola buenas noches. Acabo de comprar este dron el cual de primero funcionaba bien pero ya no al prenderlo y enlasar la emisora se enlasar bien pero al armar motores parpadea de varios colores sabrán la falla? Y solo giran bien dos motores
Hello. I recently purchased this drone and I have a question about the remote control. the left lever, which regulates engine power. For me it only works in the highest position and at full power (There is no smooth increase in power) Is this how it should be?
I think it depends on the Flight Mode. It somewhat feels that way in Normal mode, but in Sport, or Manual Mode, the throttle is more linear, and a direct relation to it’s position.
I would add the following: the Aquila16 copter is designed only for the BETAFPV Configurator and for the remote controller that comes in the kit, which means that if someone has another remote controller with ELRS, then you won’t be able to customize the copter for yourself in Betaflight and therefore not all modes will work . There is no boozer, the search for a copter is in question. For an apartment, you can’t turn off the air mode, it will stick to the walls and fall where you will disarm it in order to unstuck. There is also regular self-disarming, i.e. turns off whenever it wants. The quality of the fpv camera sucks even for an analogue one. The battery is detached when the copter falls or hits an obstacle. The design is beautiful, but the quality is slag. If to buy it then only as a kit, why would I need the kit if I have good glasses and RC. I just bought a copter and got these unexpected troubles. I don’t see the point in paying such money for that kit.
I was able to bind the Aquila16 to my Radiomaster Pocket; plug in and out the battery 3 times (on the 3rd leave it in) and the drone will enter into bind mode; then you can bind it to any compatible radio
@@ddxdezx The point is that it is impossible to customize copter in the Betaflight Configurator, because it will not connect to the one. And it connects to the any remote control without problems, but not all modes will work.
@@kukichkukichkin1077 Can't you change the channel assignment of the radio to find the right channel for the modes? The Lite Radios seem to be setup on the switches for channels 4-7 by default? Seems it would be fairly to set the switches on Edge TX. Can you elaborate a bit on the mode problems?
Yes, that’s what it actually looks like. This is very normal performance for an analog drone. Something digital will give better resolution, but will be more expensive. Take a look at HDZero, Walksnail, or DJI specific drones, for better image quality.

That’s awesome..Sounds like you’ll be upgrading to a faster drone pretty soon. Welcome to the Hobby..It is addictive.

Nice video.. The goggles dont work with glasses.. May I ask what your prescription is and how useable you found the goggles ?

I thought that you were some kind of fpv youtube but when i Checked you only had 5k!? You deserve much more Subcribers!❤

hello I have 2 new aquila16. the 2 in sport mode are not stable and always move to the left. Is there any way to fix this?
Is there a way to set up a runcam on these? I know the cetus will
The goggles record with a 32 bit fat32 sd card..
Hi i have a question can it do flips and roles?
Very basic flips and rolls.

Yes, it’s a range. You can select any power output between 25 and 350mW
@@OneManUnmanned Thank you for the info 😃
what simulator does this controller work with?
Pretty much all the FPV sims on the market.
Be careful, when you have a AMD computer, the Literadio 2 SE don't work. No connection to PC possible.
How has got this I need help I place a order on this kit on the 4th of the month and still have not got no update on shipping

Went for the cetus x instead. After watching the Drone Camps video it was even more obvious.
Make sense..The Cetus does come in two versions. Make sure you get the one that’s more meaningful to you.
@@OneManUnmannedwent for the betaflight version as it leaves room to grow into at the expense of a steeper learning curve.
I would also recommend the Betaflight version and glad you got it. 👍
just got mine. I think the motors were installed incorrectly. It just spins in circles whenever I push the throttle.
I honestly don’t know what could be the problem, unless they installed the propellers in reverse.
good morning, can it be connected to a Taranis QX7 with Expresselrs 3.0? Thanks

WHAT IS BETTER? TINYGO 4K OR AQUILA16 THIS 2023? ANSWER PLEASE
Aquila analog, tinygo digital ( with big resolution). Aquila chipper , It's easier to break it up, it seems to me… but in his price - not bad

Hi, I am completely new to it, but a video from the drone looks awful. Does it really looks like it or it is just a record?

I see that you wear glasses, can you wear glasses under the goggles and see what you need to see? Thanks!!!
This goggle is not compatible with glasses.
