I was imagining that Doom Guy (the Doom Guy from the old 2d games) is the Doom Slayer; At the very end of the final 2D Doom games the Doom Guy decided to stay in Hell and battle Demons. I was imagining that while he was fighting, the Night Sentinels might have discovered him (at this time he may have just been a regular dude whos really good at fighting demons) and recruited him to their ranks as their own. I was thinking that The Betrayer was no ordinary Night Sentinel (he's probably super powerful or with high rank or probably a king himself). After the betrayal he might have realized that he was wrong and was reluctant to discover that the Doom Guy (or the Doom Slayer by now) is still alive. To take revenge on the demons he might have bestowed all of his powers to the Doom Guy he might have even been the original owner of the Praetor Suit (or creator, or he might have enhanced it) And sooo this is why the Doom Guy or the Doom Slayer is extra angry.
