Hayden said the same thing to the Slayer at the end of mission 2 of Doom(2016) but the first line is different. Instead of "I offer you a gift." He says: "It's a gift" But all the other lines are similar. Does that mean Hayden is a reincarnation of The Seraphim aka The Hood Figure.....now my head hurts.
I haven’t heard that theory before. It sounds good. I’ve heard a good number of people theorizing that he’s Satan. To be fair I’m not sure if that’s the case because the thing they use as the main point of their theory is kind of a stretch.

I heard somewhere that the name of the seraphim (hooded figure) is Samur Maykr. Samur. Samuel.

Also I’d like to point out RAGE and RAGE 2 are cannon for Apophysis collided with our moon Luna prior to the events of DooM 2016.
I think many in the lore community have said that Hell is considered to be a Dimensional Singularity. Whether or not this have been confirmed is up for debate.
The lore in Doom Eternal on the Icon of sin sort of points to this possibility. Not going to go into it here because spoilers but yeah... it’s a great read.

Can you explain what this means? What is co siding? And why are you mentioning dimensional singularities? Do you mean maybe the doom slayer came from a different dimension? I personally believe hes the original doom slayer who's just now seeing what this alternate dimension UAC are doing with hell portals and being EXTREMELY upset like with the new game. I wont spoil it in case you havent beat it. (I havent but I was spoiled and I didnt even realize cause I thought they were talking about 2016 doom lol)

And by dimensional singularity, Hell is a separate dimension as Byf said, but there is only one Hell that attacks all realms and universes.
The thing that gives me chills is that in the arena flashback when Doom Guy is raving about killing demons, the screen begins to shake, emphasizing his rage. But as soon as the Kahn Makyr talks, he stops. Like, for this one instant, he is calm, focused.
And to me, that makes him all the scarier.
@Winter Wyvern thing is the slayer is quite literally DoomGuy from the two original Doom games as well as Doom 64. So regardless he was going to be human no matter what. Also it'd make little sense to have him not be human when every single other game had you play as human characters, its part of Doom's tradition if you will.

Doom 1 then 2 them 64. Then Doomguy in hell enters a new dimension with a different earth and on an alien world. They then made him into the Doomslayer with the divinity machine.
Doomslayer than rips and tears his way into hell itself and then gets put in a sarcophagus until Doom 2016.

ⰄⰓⰄⰀ the consensus that fans have mad now is the VEGA is “The Father” his consciousness to be exact and Samuel Hayden is the hooded figure (Samur maykr) which was The Father’s right hand man.

It's curious how Samuel Hayden refers to humanity as "your people" when speaking to the Doom Slayer, almost as if he does not see himself as belonging to the human race. And how does he know SO much about the inner workings of the makyr dimension and hell??

@John Wang tech of a high enough level would look like magic to us. So it is possible that he made himself a human like body for himself just to be at mars to uncover the doom slayer.
@John Wang (FURTHER SPOILERS AHEAD AVOID IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SPOILED) yes but that doesn't necessarily mean its impossible for him as a maykr to have created a human body and transferred himself into it, had an "accident" and had the hayden body ready. Its also pretty obvious he stole the "father" which is probably vega due to what he asked hayden before he helped the slayer in urdak, he was also talking about how the leadership of the maykrs could of been better and it didn't have to end this way. Meaning he probably did all this to become the new khan maykr some how as the one we kill isn't mean't to rule indefinitely, she was mean't to rule until the father creates another to replace her. One giant play for power.
He also needed the slayer to kill the khan maykr (the maykrs basically became corrupted - lust for power and all that and a means to survive without the father) and also needed him to take the power that he did because he needed a weapon against hell. So right now im pretty convinced the slayers caught up in a mad dash for power from sammur (hayden) and is just a weapon to samur to use against the demons which is convenient for him as the slayer already hates demons more than hate can actually be articulated. That poor rabbit :/
Most games: character can take a ton of damage in gameplay but is weak in cutscenes.

Doomslayer is basically the opposite lol. In gameplay he is arguably a beast, but in cutscenes and lore he's too much for everything.

I actually love how the Slayer on the surface is a very simple character of kill all things considered demonic but underneath he has a very dark and complex backstory that slowly turns him insane

DOOM GUY, at the end of DOOM 64, decides to close the portal to hell behind him and stay in hell to prevent demons from coming back to earth. It is very clear from DOOM 2016 codex entries and cutscenes in the current game that it’s the same person... There’s even a photo of him with a bunny lol
Doom guy and Doom slayer are the same person 2016 confirmed this.
During the cutscenes for Sentinel Prime, the subtiltes when the marine talks do call him the Doom Guy
However the lore dors paint that while both Doom Guy and Doom Slayer are one the same, after going into the divinity machine, doom guy basically changed into the Doom Slayer

“Tu” is nominative, and “te” is accusative. The plural of “infernus/a/um” is the more common word for expressing the notion of hell than infernale/is. The reason these are used in the plural is to indicate “the nether or lower regions,” or “the dead.” The preposition “in” is not necessarily required, but it helps add emphasis.

Having been on The Fortress of Doom and seen the painting of the Doom Marine with his beloved pet rabbit, Daisy, I can tell you two things.
One, this is, indeed, the very marine from the original Doom series.
Second, his name is Lt. Flynn Taggart.
Didn’t they also make him a long descendent of the protagonist of wolfenstien as well. And wouldn’t Doom 1 and 2 prelude the flashbacks in eternal... before he was imbued with the Argent energy?

I used to play Castle Wolfenstein & Spear of Destiny on PC before the original Doom came out... I remember nights playing on a local network with my buddies in the dark playing Doom & Doom II, such great games in their day.

I think it's largely accepted the he is the 'Doom Guy'. I'm not so sure. In this story he runs into an old man (clearly a soldier) who says, "I told you all to leave me alone. This is where I belong." I think the old man is the 'Doom Guy' from Doom 1 to Doom 64 and here we're seeing someone who created his own legend based entirely on revenge.
I wish after the lore, that you would go back and go into some further explanation of what is happening and what it means, and what the implications mean exactly.

I mean We don't really know what the traveller or the Darkness can do. It seems like their both capable of destroying worlds, considering what we've heard about the darkness, and the fact the Traveller can terraform worlds probably means it can turn them completely inhospitable.
If the Icon of Sin survives long enough he will literally indirectly destroy the universe and absorb it all into Hell. Although I'm sure the Traveller and the Darkness can kill him before that
I'm no destiny fan but the icon would probably be bodied unless they let him get super powerful

In my opinion,the DOOM eternal *doom guy* is the same from "DOOM (2016)", AND doom eternal is the origins of DOOM GUY From "64" he was found by the sentinels and bought to the priest and took his helmet and made him prove his worth by killing demons and so he did, and after that the priest turned to the dark side (joined the forces of hell) and so the KING says "you can't kill them they are still sentinel blood". He met with the sentinel whose son is the *icon of sin*
"If his heart is at rest his soul will find peace and so is mine" saying to the Slayer , after that the attack on Earth commenced and the "doom Slayer" arrives after annihilating the demons he fights the "icon of sin" once again and so went back to the place where sentinels lived to find that "Khan" something so *he was ambushed stripped of his armor and placed in a sarcophagus* and so in DOOM 2016 starts with the Slayer with the armor with the strength to kill demons (HE WAS GIVEN A GIFT WHICH COMES FROM YELLOW COFFIN THINGY).
I think this makes sense cuz in DOOM 2016 you can see the *Icon of sin* and that Big demon with a gun( in the doom 2016 trailer) which was still incapable of fighting in the betrayer scene.
I'm so happy the soothing voice of Byf now has heavy metal and death in the back ground
