How to use a Wine Key or Waiter's Corkscrew Bottle Opener Like a Pro!

Sometimes the simplest tools are the best. Mark shows in this video that you don't need to spend crazy amounts of money on wine openers to open a wine bottle simply and quickly. A $5 dollar wine key can do the trick everytime.

Okay so what is the tiny blade piece used for on the opener? Is it to cut plastic off the top?

The tiny blade at the top is called a foil cutter. Usually you would use it to cut off the foil at the top of the bottle close to the lip like we do in the video. The plastic "foils" usually have a little pull tab that lets you remove it without having to use a blade, sort of like on a pack of gum, but otherwise you would use the blade for that as well. Hope that helps!
