Appaloosa Rose Mahfouz .. was born this morning..she is the most beautiful baby in the world.. thank you to the black.crowes for such a beauiful song ..thay my wife and I named our.daughter after.
In between that oblivion rain Let me hear all your sad angels...sing These 2 lines out of 1 song, even from all the Crowes songs in their catalog, have never resonated more powerfully, in this now, than they ever have, for me
I love that Larry Campbell is playing steel on this! That guy can play multiple instruments and he’s awesome at all of them! This album is absolutely amazing!
Revisiting this video years later what strikes me, apart from the great song, is how timeless Luthers solo is. It makes the song gel in some sense and one would have hoped it was longer. The first few notes have an elegance that only truly great solos have. I can't put my finger on it or put words to it. But I know it when I hear it. Cheers and take care all.
Warpaint and Before the Frost/Until the freeze are two criminally underrated albums... No hits, indeed, but when you have songs like Appaloosa who needs them? Records to listen in their entirety, feeling the flow of great song after great song...Matureness
Proud to say that I was there to witness one of the nights of the recording of this album. Specifically, the one where Chris was wearing the California shirt.
+Shakey Perspective I am sorry but no,I just looked up the lyrics to Appaloosa and Chris and Rich wrote it. You are thinking of Oh Sweet Nuthin, that is a Velvet Underground song,Appaloosa is and always will be A Crowes song. You can look it up yourself if you doubt me. I know my Crowes.
I think Chris's voice is in its prime on these Woodstock shows. He's gotten a bit hoarse as of late and was a bit raw when younger. He's showing great range and control here.
I love Cabin Fever, The Crowes at their very best. Saw them live a couple months before they released Before the Frost, and it was cool to hear some of the tunes for the first time live. Here's hoping they end their hiatus soon and get back to playing together, they're one of the best bands around.
0:46 Steve and Chris give the impression of being good friends... shame how it's all turned out. But really happy the brothers are playing together again
I've loved the album since it came out but I wasn't aware this fully pro video existed of it all. Is the whole session available on video commercially or (if not) in the trading communities?
Luther was the best thing to happen to The Crowes since Marc left. Such a tasty player. Love both Before & After. Just Timeless.
Agreed, Luther was unreal in Crowes. Fit like a glove.
Totally 🙌
This album was their absolute best. Tight and clean, fantastic recording quality. IMO this was their peak

One of my all time favorite songs. Goes straight to the heart! The whole album is a masterpiece. Thank you Black Crowes!
Magic was captured that night.
Agree. This song is magic..that's for sure
I have re-discovered this song and I will never let it go again. Thank you Black Crowes. "Take me home...where I...can dream my days away."
In between that oblivion rain
Let me hear all your sad angels...sing

A modern classic...I can listen to this tune in repeat the whole day and feel amazed every time..
Beautiful.... Brilliant ❤️
The Pedal Steel makes this performance
When my dad presented Cabin fever to me, i was like:
"dude, isn't that a horror movie"
And he answered: "It is. Scary good musicians!"
One of the prettiest songs I know...perfect!

Ol' Sevens Pippy with the sweet harmony vocals.

Proud to say that I was there to witness one of the nights of the recording of this album. Specifically, the one where Chris was wearing the California shirt.
if you ever get a chance to catch one of levon's midnight rambles at his studio it's well worth the price of admission..
God, this is so beautiful... wish i could hear it all days. But i can't, cause everytime i do, i cry a river.
before the frost is a masterpiece, sucha great damn album, with really tasty songs, Appaloosa is one of my favourites!
Warpaint is a masterpiece. Recorded at Levon Helm's studio outside of Woodstock. RIP Levon and Eddie Harsh

+Shakey Perspective I think you're thinking of "Sweet Nuthin", which IS a Velvet Underground song, and on this DVD.
Kenneth Norris You are exactly right.
I think Chris's voice is in its prime on these Woodstock shows. He's gotten a bit hoarse as of late and was a bit raw when younger. He's showing great range and control here.
this song is awesome, love the black crowes.
Their best song by far love it!

Greatest song ever
The pedal steel in this...❤❤❤
0:46 Steve and Chris give the impression of being good friends... shame how it's all turned out. But really happy the brothers are playing together again
Mme ha gustado este grupo desde 1991 que lo escuche por primera vez, ojalá vinieran a México
People had better remember these guys are back now b cuz this music want be awesome like this greatest
Doesn’t really get any better
If I had to pick only 3 things to survive earth, I would pick bacon, clam chowder and this song.....
Got a Grateful Dead sound and feel to it, love this one.
Along with being an elite rock vocalist Chris Robinson is an exceptional lyricist.
This the Joconde and Sistine Chapel of Rock & Roll.
You can put me on a desert island with this DVD and a few albums from Warren Haynes and the Allmans's Bro and I would be fine....
Why did he rerecord the song for Chris Robinson Brotherhood...This rendition is simply unmatched
0:43 when Chris and Steve used to be friends..
Appaloosa... Appaloosa...
🍄Mmmmmm🥰🌹MelTime 😘
Wow, beautiful - who is the pedal steel player?

I've loved the album since it came out but I wasn't aware this fully pro video existed of it all. Is the whole session available on video commercially or (if not) in the trading communities?
+Jason Davis Yes it is available on DVD, titled Cabin Fever.
His appearance really reminds e of 1969's John Lennon
+MrCamrox97 Thank God no one else sees that or we'd all be puking.
+MrCamrox97 i agree with you, when i see him in concert from far away also he look like him, and Sven from a distance looks like Harrison.
Shame on you, Chris, that you stop it. :-(
what do you mean?
Jesus Chrowst
one person don't know anything about music and feelings
wish chris would sing so controlled always. he just ruins most performances with this exaggerated mariah carey acrobatics on every fucking line
Beautiful
