For any Crowes fans out there, if you don't have it, Cabin Fever is a MUST HAVE! LOVE this DVD. The version of Good Morning Captain on this DVD is worth the price of the DVD all by itself. I sure hope Chris and Rich work out their differences someday, because this band was pure magic live.
... one of the many things I love about the Crowes is the fact that they allow their shows to be freely recorded and freely "traded". This gives real fans a treasure trove of recordings to collect. You get to hear the obscure tunes and B-sides live. They are, without question and with good reason, my favorite band. I could go on for days about them... I've seen them many times and look forward to seeing them again next month.
The Crowes are the best American band of the last 20 years, and they are getting better with each record. They last two albums have been amazing. Great tune, they have so many cool b-sides and covers out there.
I only saw them live once in Santa Fe and it was one of the top concerts of my life. I've seen the Beatles at Dodger Stadium, their last tour, the Stones in the Forum, Led Zep (second US tour Anaheim Conven Ctr), two Who concerts in early 70's, David Bowie's first tour at Santa Monica Civic Ctr, on and on). I only list a few of those experiences just to show the esteem I hold the Crowes in, very very high esteem. Hope they get together again someday.
I love the album and its funny but i never thought of the Exile comparison but... It fits. This is a great album. I hope the next one has this same type of feel to it. It is very natural sounding. I like the direction that they are taking. I agree with some of the other posters as far as I can tell they Crowes are the only real rocknroll band that we have now.
@nouveaud--I thought Keef was one of the aliens being watched on Men In Black??? ;) If the aliens have Exile, why haven't we seen them yet--that amazing album should have brought them here for the 1972 STP. or the disco tour of 1976... And, the Crowes ROCK as hard or harder than the Stones...
@metalforeternity41 ever considered that he black crowes is a jamband? Just like Gov't Mule for example. People don't go out to see a band live, and see them play and sound JUST like on the album.... why the hell should I go to the concert if it sounds the same on the album? and on top of that: before the frost/until the freeze was mostly recorded live in the studio ;)
👍🏾Thumbs up if you’re here 11 yrs later still enjoying this amazing song! Double thumbs up if you first heard this on Cabin Fever dvd 👍🏾👍🏾

@metalforeternity41 I personally can't stand metal.........Aside from the occasional Metallica, Manson, Zombie binge.....
Can someone tell me what kind of guitar is he playing slide ??
Black Crowes = Pure Awesomeness.
It looks like it is a Gretsch Corvette 6187. Not sure what year.
Both of you are right... One of the BEST all around!
