Great video! It was nice to see a fresh perspective on a different neighborhood outside of the historic center. I would have never guessed that was Oaxaca 😊.
I enjoyed Barb’s apartment and I hope she gives a way to get her paints & yarn Eventually one can meet people and have 6 people over for dinner I live the layout of apartment!
Seems great for a really quiet lifestyle, but not a lot going on. Rather live in a busier town or area and be able to have the option of things to choose from, or chill at home. Thanks for the insight!
Nice Apt. tour. Just FYI on the AC units and mold. I recently stayed where they had similar units and it was covered in mold! & got really sick. I started to smell something was off when the AC came on. So I lifted the flap and there was a ton of mold underneath. I would not have seen it had I not lifted the flap. The mold was so thick it was flacking off and blowing in the furniture.
That's a really good point. Sorry that happened to you. So many things to look out for. We just had our AC units cleaned. Our apartment management hires a guy to come out and do that every 4 months or so, depending on how much we are using the AC. Thanks for watching and commenting. Buen día :)
Hi. She lives in Oaxaca City in the Reforma neighborhood. The two places you are looking at are quite a ways away near the coast. Good luck with your move. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Interesting. Where might we find these apartments for 200-300 usd? We'd love to see them and maybe do a video about them as we are trying to show our audience what is available. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I keep on seeing people misspelling "immigrant." Joking aside, please either don't use that label altogether or use the proper term "immigrant" instead of "expat."
Interesting comment. Thank you for watching our videos. We are having that discussion as we speak. We are transitioning from using the term expat to "resident" as that is what the Mexican government labels us as on our resident cards.
Oaxaca is a very dangerous part of Mexico. I am amazed that people do no homework whatsoever regarding the social situation in the different parts of Mexico. This lady hasn't even been there a year
Nice video. Showing the neighborhood provides a lot of useful context when looking at apartments.
I agree! Thanks for watching. Happy to have you here :)
Thank you, Barbara, for tour.
I'll let her know. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Fun video - thanks to Barbara for sharing her home.
Thanks for watching! And, yes, thanks to Barb for showing us around.
Oaxaca is such a magical place.
It is 😍

@@RetiredLifeMexico That is so nice your Landlord is taking care of you guys 😊
Hello, what city in Oaxaca does she live in and what is the name of the apartment complex? I am looking to relocate to Puerto Escondido or Hautulco.

That’s an insane high price for an apartment in Mexico. Plenty of apartments for 200-300 available

It can be a very dangerous area...not so sure about the city of Oaxaca. Do you live there? Thanks for watching.
