Congrats on your retirement, and enjoy the adventure of cruising the world on a beautiful, fast boat! What's the brand of the blue jacket? (I prefer bright colors for safety on the water.) Toray is also one of the world's major manufacturers of Carbon fiber. Correction: Toray is the world's largest maker of Carbon fiber. Their CF used extensively in the 787 for example. To answer my question, jacket is Altus Pro Rain jacket made by JB Langley. It's ok to have doubts. That's your common sense asking you to review things.
Thank you! It can be overwhelming at times, but we are committed to our plan. It’s really about the destinations and setting and doing new things. Yes. We went with the JB Langley Altus Pro. We only got the jacket though. We prefer to layer with our cold/ wet weather gear, and straight up foulies get to bulky.
@@GTFOplan Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! Looking forward to seeing how it goes. Not sure the logistics of it, but would really like to see how you both solve unexpected problems. And those may be the most valuable lessons to share with us; not the specific solutions, but the process of working them together. You may want to keep cameras running all the time at the controls/salon, if that's practical. When it's "all hands on deck", you may be too busy to operate cameras. Even minor problems are interesting though. Seeing how people work through them may also give others more confidence to take on cruising. And also give some idea of the personality/mindset it takes to succeed. P.S. Really like your approach of getting experience on deliveries, etc. Very smart.
