Good one, enjoyed. Nice charter yacht as you say….but would be fun to sail an owners version with 20% less weight….a simpler version! Looking forward to your next offshore run. Thanks, Andrew
She is great for purpose but definitely not fast enough for me... Going to be fun on the next Balance 526(Edisto) with daggerboards in November. Should get some rooster tails out of her... Standby
Seems this new cat hasn't had any problems, is this it's maiden voyage? I was at a party last weekend and the question was asked "who is your favorite sailor"? I said Francis Drake, can I ask who is yours and also others reading this comment? Talking about missing your missus, my wife went down to Tasmania for 6 days from where we live in South Australia and I couldn't believe how much I missed her despite decades together, I'm early 60s she's mid 50s. I think we can tend to take people for granted when they're around all the time and it's good to have some time apart because it makes you realize how much they mean to you
Not a big reader believe it or not. I prefer doing things and being active so no real favourite sailors but meeting the inventer of the Rocna anchor and master mariner Peter Smith in Cape Verde would be a highlight. His stories were incredible and to listen to him was such a treat. These guys have so much knowledge its incredible.. Much better than reading any book so I guess I was very fortunate. Yip my missus is a trooper and so proud if what she went through with me and her tenacity to stick with it.. It was indeed her maiden voyage and she did have some issues but nothing unusual and all remedied in Cape Town. Normal for any new vessel.. Next time I will do the sea trials myself before leaving. Exactly what is planned for the next trip.. Coming soon Nov
You guys definitely ate well. Good you were able to dodge the storm.
Dankie Trevor ek het die een baie geniet mooi loop.
