Thanks for this. I’ve considered this watch and colorway more than once. It’s worth pointing out that you can also use the rotating bezel to track 12 elapsed hours by aligning the triangle with the hour hand before starting the chronograph.
I visited a couple ADs last week looking for the BB58 Navy blue. They offered me the grey and the black versions with a great discount. I blame this video for pulling the trigger on the grey one! 😝 Great job, keep them coming!

My frustrating and confusing addiction to baseball almost got me to buy this one. It actually fit me, which, lets face it, was another plus, but I just can't afford all the ones I want, so it's nice to enjoy them here. 👍🏻

I love the look of this watch so much but it’s just so thick, especially with those slab sides!
He says 13mm here which is far slimmer than say an Omega Seamaster
I have the blue and it by no means feels too thick. It has a completely flush case back which helps it sit well.

Just picked up the Blue for a massive 30% from the AD in Bahrain👌and loving the piece after years of hesitation. So much more fun and interesting than any current tudor chrono versions. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if it is discontued soon.
Nearly pulled the trigger on this one , I was hugely impressed with the build quality especially the bezel action. Current classic. The nato strap feels awesome too.

Now that it's been discontinued, they should bring it back in 40mm, with:
1. A manual wind movement, like the original
2. A domed sapphire for that vintage vibe...
3. A thinner bracelet
4. A tachymeter aluminum bezel
5. Thinner case profile
You nailed the “Buuurming’am” 😉 I’m UK (Yorkshire) based and echo other comments from the UK: these watches are rarely seen in the UK!
I wish it was a little smaller and thinner, then it would be just fantastic
This is thinner than the newer Tudor chronographs.

AAA Quality per usual! I agree regarding the size, I have a 16cm wrist and when I first put on a speedy I was like woah this is big. Then I got used to it. Now when I tried on the Tudor heritage Chrono Blue,. I looked at my wrist and was like this is not abnormally big. It was definitely big, but not too big that I could not support it on my wrist. However, it was big enough for me to give the decision of buying it some more thought.

Much better than the new Tudor BB Chrono. This is more distinctly Tudor design language. The new one is well... Rolex-ish

Not really a chrono guy, but just like Tudors Monte Carlo on the vintage market, I never really understood why this watch never got more love.

Agree with you 1000% on the snowflake hands. I dislike the club footed “snowflake” hour hand so much, that I will NEVER consider a Tudor that has it. Which means that this Heritage model is pretty much the only Tudor I’m interested in. And these Heritage models are real beauties. It’s a shame they are so rarely featured/talked about.
I am still waiting when they update this one with new inhouse movement.

A movement like the B01 would trim the thickness of the case down as there is no module. Attractive piece, no doubt about it.
Many others know and remember that watch. It is not forgotten.
Tudor was only available in Japan via the grey market. It only recently arrived officially 2 years ago or so.

I agree. I think the BB chrono is a bit of an aesthetic hodgepodge. I’m a huge fan of the snowflake handset but don’t think it belongs on a chronograph as it’s way too easy for that paddle on the end of the hour hand to completely obstruct a subdial.

another tudor chronograph that's a bit different is the iconaut along with the hydronaut/hydronaut II from the pre black bay era.
How can u figure out how to use this timing bezel but not a gmt bezel to track a third time zone? Isn’t it the same principal?…btw love your videos been binging for a couple days lol only reason I noticed this haha

The snowflake hand on a chrono is a horrible decision. It blocks almost the whole subdial.

Homeplate It is not the same as Monte Carlo. References 70XX are Homeplate, references 71XX are Montecarlo. The Monte Carlo was not Tudor's first chrono, the Homeplate was.

Tudor should invest in this line. Black bay Chronos, is too much. They need to slim down the case and invest on Monte Carlo s.

I just bought mine, hows the lume with your watch, my hand lumes are dimmer, specially in the centre of the hand markers
That is because it contains a pedestrian ETA 2894 modular movement. Not the most reliable movement ever produced.
Not a bad watch by any means but I'd rather have an authentic funky chrono from the 70's like a Heuer temporada, Breitling chronomatic or sprint, Omega flightmaster or seamaster soccer time... there's so many and they are all way better looking than this, imho.

It’s fatal flaw is that it’s a module chronograph.
Why?
That makes it thinner than a lot of integrated chronographs in the market.
That sounds like a good thing.
There’s so much bs out there surrounding servicing modular chronos. I have this movement - or very similar - in two watches. They’ve been serviced with zero issues.
Like most Internet tropes, it is a nonsense that some guys said in a forum years ago and it grew legs. Now people parrot it without knowing what they're talking about.
Much like the guff about in house movements.

This watch has grown on me, but I think it’s overpriced. I feel with the ETA (or Sellita) movement, it should be noticeably cheaper than the Breitling movement Chronos. Maybe $3695 would be a more reasonable MSRP.
They’re being offered with massive discounts at the moment. Picked mine for $3,100 MSRP only yesterday.
