- The homeplate and the Monte Carlo were the first foray for Tudor into chronographs in 1970. The Heritage Chrono was Tudor's shot across the bow in 2010 to announce it's return. I must admit I had some trouble understanding this watch in the first couple weeks with it. Sometimes the watch seemed playful, other times it wants to be a precise racing instrument. You decide.

Stumbled on this video as I was trying to make a decision on the next watch purchase. This watch was in the running w a few others. You’ve sold me. Heritage Chrono in blue it is. I can lend you my sports car for the next shoot (it would help me rationalize why I have it :))

I use my Breitling Blackbird Chronograph to time my breaks during the work day watching UA-cam videos about what people use their Chronographs for.

Nice review and nice qoute "The idea of man and machine merging as one"... I just bought my Tudor Heritage MC before came across this video, tq. I see Tudor have finally break away from his elder brother shadow by accepting who they are and what they are... now with their own movement and riding on their heritage DNA has sucessfully make Tudor independent. Lesson learn is never shy away from your own heritage. Tudor no longer perceive as second best after his big brother but instead have a blessing in disguise for gaining a total freedom away from the "Coronet" family stigma and free to roam the new frontier... (sound familiar...)

This is a really fun and interesting chronograph from Tudor. As an owner of the bb58 blue, I love blue watches and actually find myself not hating the pho rivets after a while. At a normal angle, it makes the watch a bit more interesting and it looks more unique. But sometimes I do find it annoying

I think a red stripe would look great. You might think that it would clash with orange, but I think from a foot away or more away couldn’t even tell the difference in shade.
I can only hope they release a smaller version with a tachy bezel this year.
The bracelet is so much better than the ugly Black Bays metal bracelet.

Saw one in person today. Didn't like the Monte Carlo online. But in person, wow. Absolutely loved it. Not sure if I want this, or an El Primero 38mm
The colors are great up close. Very different watches, the primero is more clinical the monte carlo more playful. Personal choice👍

What I like the most about this piece is this: MORE than 10 minutes’ SPREAD between the pushers. The LESS than 10 minutes’ spread is what I HATE in the Omega ‘non-reduced’ models, and why I never wanted one. I may want this one, because of that.
Interesting, do you feel like it's easier to operate?
No, 1): I hypothesize the awkwardness of winding the unreduced in such a tight space between the pushers, and have no need to buy it just to find out if that is so, and 2): which is the main gripe, it LOOKS like a comfortable spread, that of the reduced. LOOKING like a comfortable spread or like a claustrofobic spread, is part of their aesthetics, in other words, and it remains in their aesthetics even if they feel the same with closed eyes.
I think this Tudor chrono is a seriously fun watch to wear.😜. I’m not into chronos like I once was, but this watch is awesome.

Just ordered my Heritage Chrono Blue this morning with the bracelet. Should be there in two weeks... I hope so ^^
I will put a Rugged Leather Light Grey leather strap on it along with the Tudor folding clasp I got for 50€ (in perfect condition).
Maybe I will also buy a custom leather strap. Blue on the outside and orange on the inside with orange stitching. Almost like the one they made for the BR Racing Bird. Aaron Bespoke made a view nice straps for my PAM1312. I am sure he will make the Tudor shine too :)
I was comparing the Tudor forth and back with the BR V2-92 Racing Bird and the new Breitling Top Time Limited as the color scheme is almost the same. The Monaco was no choice as I do not like square watches. It is really nice, but I do not like to war it. I like to see the Monaco on others... strange but true ^^
The BR is gorgeous and not so chunky but I do not like the numbers on the dial and the Breitling looks to polished. Yes, with the 70s spirit but somehow to polished. And almost 5000€ for a watch with no in-house movement and no date. Sorry, totally overpriced in my opinion.
I chose the Tudor as it is so... unagitated, so 70s with it's simple but beautiful dial and so fun to look at. And to be honest, 3400€ for a new one with a bracelet (highly discounted for sure) is a no-brainer.

I rarely use it, maybe when I do some sports, I occasionally time how long have I travel, and also when I need to wait my turn to see a doctor or a government official who is in a meeting, I will turn on the chronograph function.

13mm is not thick at all for a modern sports watch. Maybe you're used to older Rolex models?

but... this watch isn't known as the monte carlo because of the race... the original version looked like a roulette wheel
There is a question how hard are those modular movements for servicing? Some people say - very difficult and if something goes wrong with movement, you need to buy a new one? Wondering if that's true...seriously thinking about getting this watch.
