The real strength of this car is not even the ability to get from 0-60, but what happens after that. 100-200 in 3.9s which puts this car in a completely different league.
@ thanks! 0-60 in 2.5 secs and seats 6 people, it’s nuts 😂 Steering wheel is on the wrong side like the S but I’ll deal with it! I had an S previously, was excellent.
4:51 You must have an early 2024 version, because the horn is been back, I think since February people noticed it in the USA, in the center and not a button anymore. Also, the horn symbol is video symbol, improved material to address the peeling and not capacitive controls now physical buttons on steering wheel.
Hello mate! Nice to hear from you! Had to get the car, the pooch and the shopping list in! 😂 thank you for the offer I’m sure I’ll find something to do with it!
On the motorway you should use the autopilot, great feature & much smoother compared to other car manufacturers, can drive hours on end feeling like you're being driven
5 star video but there was a big feature you didn't even mention so not sure why?? No mention of autonomous cruise control when you were on the motorway etc. My EQS drives itself on the motorway so I would have been really interested to know how much the model S puts the EQS to shame in that respect in the UK. That said, looking forward to more content & I've subscribed. Good stuff dude
All 2024 S's have the airbag horn. The one you're testing is 2022 to 2023 (not 2021 since the badge was different and said PLAID instead of the graphic).
Hello from the French Alps 🙂 Nice review, thanks. After my current Model 3 LR Boost lease ends next June, this S Plaid could replace it. I'm just concerned about the dimensions of the car and the accelerated wear of the inner shoulders of the rear tires: have you heard about it?
Bonjour! How’s the weather there? Yes size is a factor but regular Model S exist in the UK and more importantly in London. So if we can cope with it I think you’ll be fine. Haven’t heard about the tyre wear no…
It’s obviously personal preference, but I tried the Model S and found it a bit too large for my liking. The Model 3 that I own is more nimble. The new M3 is also more quiet than the Model S. Something I think is important.
The wind noise seems very loud in your interior video when driving? I went with an E-Tron myself, sacrificing some of the Tesla 'Performance' for the extra comfort and refinement it brings.
I think the mic is contributing to it but it was average… not the best but by no means bad either. That’s probably a logical choice though :) e trons look pretty nice
@ there’s a camera button where the horn used to be. Most of the original yokes were changed out in Europe. The haptic feedback seems to have been improved too.
These cars along with the likes of Taycans and big Beemers will only ever get bought as a company car fiddle in the UK. Then they depreciate like a stone on the 2nd hand car market as canny buyers know the savings the original buyer made initially. The the media says says "2nd hand EV prices are crashing - err no, normalising."
You're not wrong. Just not a topic I want to bring to reviews. Im more interested in the product as it will remain the case 5+ years from now. Whereas the market is always changing so god knows what the landscape will look like in 5 years time. Thanks for watching :)
It was an honest attempt at bringing some local businesses to light whilst traveling around parts of the UK... no sponsors. Just support. Take your feedback on board though, thanks for watching.
@waynedavies8130 Well a thousand horsepower is pointless but not the car itself. It drives just like any other car. Driving a one thousand horsepower gas powered car is ridiculously impractical.
I think it’s a case of ROI. As in, they know they’re never going to sell enough volume to justify the development of a RHD for the UK market. (I’m assuming here)
@ if they priced it correctly they would. This has never been a 100k car. How they can make a model 3 in America and sell it for 30,000 USD but can’t get a S to the Uk for less than it’s ridiculous cost never made any sense to me. You can buy a BMW M5 for less than a model S. Makes no sense at all. The M5 is a better car all around.
The real strength of this car is not even the ability to get from 0-60, but what happens after that. 100-200 in 3.9s which puts this car in a completely different league.
Agreed! Sadly it isn’t something I was able to showcase
@@GoksCarLounge You guys don't have Mexican highways in UK like we have in the US? 🤣🤣
True... when you overtake other cars its so insane
And why would anyone want that for a daily driver? What's next? A formula 1 for a daily?
@barygol a dragster
The Plaid is the best car ever in every way !!!
haha bit of a stretch but I get the appeal
That comparison between the GT and the MSP was brilliant. Well done sir.
Thank you! Thanks for watching
I've just bought a Model X Plaid in the UK from Tesla - it's awesome!
Congrats! Didn’t know they did the X in Plaid!
@ thanks! 0-60 in 2.5 secs and seats 6 people, it’s nuts 😂 Steering wheel is on the wrong side like the S but I’ll deal with it! I had an S previously, was excellent.
@ video is excellent btw 👌
Thank you Greg! Appreciate it... It was easier to get used to the LHD than the girth of the Model S haha!
@@GoksCarLounge they did, & again it's "the fastest" SUV on the road 💀
If the horn aint on the steering wheel then this isnt a 2024 model. They brought this back. Love the video btw!
Thank you! :)) appreciate that
superb car
We have a model Y LR for the family, and when we look for a car to replace it we end up at model X. There is no comparison to a Tesla.
Hard to ignore and by all accounts… decent car!

My earlier 2024 S Plaid has the airbag horn. I got mine the first week they released the 2024 S which was early February.
@ Am I across the pond from you? When did the UK get the new MS P?
Awesome video Gok!
Thanks Joe.
This is FANTASTIC. Let’s go to Gilks?
Lil G would love it!
Very good explanation loved it gok
I just love your videos keep it up!!
Thank you so much 😀
Great video, slightly different performance to my little 34hp Renault 4, was great to meet and chat cars. If you want to try my 4 give me a shout.
Hello mate! Nice to hear from you! Had to get the car, the pooch and the shopping list in! 😂 thank you for the offer I’m sure I’ll find something to do with it!
With the new stearing wheel the horn is back where it belongs 😉
Haha good! How will I let people know I am ragi…I mean, make them aware of dangers.
Yoke`s are in Lexus too are the haters complaining ???
@@Jannik_1020 the horn is in the same place on the new yokes as well

I tried it but anytime I went to correct it, it switched it off… but when it did work it was very good!
Nah, FSD is way better than autopilot.
Good Job Gok - a little different to the usual stuff on here :)
More to come! 😎
I can’t believe that they don’t make these RHD. So many people would get the Model S, including myself.

Tesla ❤
Don’t see many new S or X on the road, LHD must be a massive put off.
I’d love to drive this, I own a model S Performance (the fastest RHD Tesla the UK has).
Probably quick enought to beat most cars on the UK roads!
@ it is but lacks the top end, really tapers off after 120 which isnt the best for rolls
Why is the steering wheel on the wrong side?
The opposite of having it on the right side is having it on the wrong side.
It's not, you're on the wrong side of the pond.🇺🇸

No worries Paul… enjoy your Xmas in the snow :)

Aren’t they discontinued in the U.K.?
I believe so - came in limited numbers anyway but a few knocking about in the used car market 🙏🏻
@@ashleyreid7113 you can still order left hand drive models , don't know why you would, but it's still an option.
Horn is in the middle now whether it’s a yoke or not.
So I hear, good to know :)
@ there’s a camera button where the horn used to be. Most of the original yokes were changed out in Europe. The haptic feedback seems to have been improved too.
Why only lhd on the Plaid though!
Probably not worth the investment as it’s never going to be a big number seller. Like Bugattis only available as a left hander…
Let’s face it, the interior is not a 100k car’s interior.
The shilling thoughhhh

It’s insane how Tesla can’t be bothered to make this in RHD when BMW can make the i5 and i7 plus all the other petrol versions also.
