In my opinion, it takes at least 3 -4 days for players to reveal themselves and 3-4 months for toxic narcissists sometimes to reveal their true intentions and if they are really genuine they won’t mind waiting.

Boundaries is a must. Set them firm and not caring If the person likes it or not. You respecting and liking yourself must come first. Others Are a bonus.
I definitely use the matching energy and 90 day rule for expressing interest. I hate wasting my time. Both of these boundaries shows a dude's intentions and helps you avoid wasting good time.

1. Around behavior (How you’re treated):
- Verbal/psychological manipulation and/or abuse. (Main)
- Disrespecting your time by flakey behavior, canceling without rescheduling etc.
- Not wanting/prioritizing you as much as you are (Match their energy! Give them only as much as they are giving you).
- Big no to dating online (it brings out a needier version of you).
2. Emotional boundaries
- Love bombing, speeding up the emotional connection very quickly (easy come = easy go, always).
- If they they start fast and they get mad at being slowed down.
- Invading your privacy, me-time and your personal space (it’s a form of control).
- Are talking about their ex.
- Still friends with their ex’es (increases insecurity).
3. Around time:
- After 2 or 3 months → no relationship = Get the hell out (for women).
- After 2 or 3 dates → no poom-poom= Get the Fuck out xD (for men).
P.S. Summary of how to save time: Just slow them down if they start fast, always match their energy and if after 2 or 3 months there is no relationship then you’re out.

So lets say we smash after 3-4 dates. What's going on between the time we had sex and the time that the commitment is made? I agree that if you don't have the relationship you want after 2-3 months you should leave but does it take 2-3 months to go on 3-4 dates? Many women want a commitment shortly after if not before sex.
Its cause if you smash, and have no commitment who's to say they still exploring options and smashing others as well.

You want to consider taking a sabbatical from the relationship advice. Focus on your art and reading the word. There are some great church fellowships in NY city. I'm aware alot of so called 'churches ' have an agenda & its not always about Christ. I get that. Been praying for you a long time, Alex.
