I learned rocket league on an elite controller with the paddles, but after 1700 hours it needs a replacement so I ordered this one for the buttons on the back.
Heck yeah! I loved playing rocket league with this controller. The buttons on the back aren't as good as actual paddles, but they're still very nice to have!
@@brandonfirman8694 The only thing I ran into was the shape. I found the squared off shape started to cause discomfort in my right index finger when shooting. Nothing mechanical.
I been looking to buy this controller. To bad that all the reviews videos I found here on UA-cam there is always somebody complaining about the bumper buttons not working well sometimes not even registering the action. This set the alarms for me to not buy it..
Hmm all of the buttons on mine worked just fine! I’ll have a long term review for this controller later on, but no issues like that yet! I paid out of pocket for mine, so I would for sure be returning it if I had that issue
Hey dude do you have review on how to configure the 8bitdo pro xbox controller its like a ds4 design but it is xbox..do you have a review on that controller?
@@BaxTechYT can you pls do a review on that? And what is the difference of that two controller? And how to configure the one that i told you. Thanks bro
Thanks so much for the review. Thinking of buying it too :-) I think it doesn't work on Android tablets is that correct? I'm looking for a controller for my kids Lenovo tablet and also PC windows10.
Hmm I’m honestly not sure if it can work with a tablet! You’d have to get a USB A to C adapter(or whatever your laptop uses). If you do want a good one for Android, I would suggest the 8bitdo Pro 2!
@@BaxTechYT Thanks. I thought the ultimate was the latest, but thats wireless. So the pro can work with for eg. android lenovo tablet. That would be nice and windows 10 too.
@@decorix yes! The pro 2 works on switch, android, windows, and Linux. It does use a switch button layout, but you can remap all the buttons in the 8bitdo app!

Nice controller overall. Wanted to love it but rumble was all screwed up and unevern on both sides. Sent it back for replacement (Amazon). Same problem. I'll try again in a year after 1st generation are either sold or fixed. Too bad. :(
@@BaxTechYT Not yet. Buying three more. I figure between them, I should get ONE good one! LOL If not, at that point I'll contact them. I really like the feel of this controller so trying to work it out.
Got this controller yeaterday and let me tell you, it is dog shit. Buttons are mushy and often I thought i pressed the RB amd LB buttons, but then it didnt register. The only buttons that are responsive are two at the back, which you will press them accidentally all the time
Interesting🤔 I would send it back to 8bitdo for a replacement. It may have been a bad one. Mine as well as my other controllers from them have all been fantastic!
Thank you for commenting on the ergonomics of the paddles not enough people were commenting on that.
No problem! Even though they’re kinda easy to hit, they’re very nice
I like the design of the control and I am digging the pink
It’s a cool controller! And they have a wireless version now!
@@BaxTechYT now that's good to know.
Love the 8bitdo pro 2. I have a few of them. And I use them wired. This looks appealing too. Maybe will get one.

Love this guy! Best reviews on UA-cam!
You’re making me blush😍
Seems like a great controller! Not being wireless though is a bit of a let down. Overall though, seems like a buy!
It’s solid dude! Been using it a lot for some games on gamepass and I’m in love!
As someone who prefers wired when at a desk it is no such downside
it's not paddles its back buttons. Paddles was shape like actually paddles. Buttons usually sticked into the controller and paddles were not.
Ah you’re right, but either way I think the general idea is understood. Thanks for the input!
congratulations for wanting to correct something that is insignificant.
and about fps games, this controller can give us precision that we need to play fos games?
Well you can fine tune the joystick dead zones and things like that in the app, which can help your accuracy and control in certain games!
have you found this still has held up?
Some what. With the new wireless version out and just a little more, it’s almost hard to recommend this. Unless you’re buying specially for Xbox
I wonder what size kontrol freeks fit
Hmm I have no idea on that. The joysticks feel just about the same size as the standard Xbox controller to me
Did this one ever get stick drift? I hear that happens a lot
I've always found hangups regarding wired pads odd.
Sorry for the slow reply, UA-cam didn't show me your comment! But I totally agree. I never even notice the cord!
