A romanian friend. I really appreciate it bro

Thank you brother :)
Thank you ;)
I'm a simple Pole, you know the rest.
Szymon Zieliński 😂 dammit, up next will be Polish 😜
You certainly don't know that, but Poles have a strong bond with Hungary. At Hungarians, we call Brothers. It also works the other way around.
You've already done a vlog about the Polish landscape. However, you haven't seen my Mountains and I know you have a weakness for the mountains.

BTW Since June, you have direct flights from Miami to Warsaw so maybe you can take a trip around the Visegrad group. It is worth because Hungarians have brilliant Wines - better than French.

This video finally shows Hungary is NOT equal with Budapest ! Proud of my country
@Hungaro Pride Well when you travel in to the middle of nowhere and then after a 2 hours of driving you reach the mountains with the forest and waterfalls and cliffs and after that you can drive another 2 hour to the nearest lake... thats a great feel.
I did'nt like BP too... :D
Ember a pusztaság jobb mint a város
Im proud of you
Hungary is awesome. I've been to Balaton but never to Budapest. I prefer the small towns.
There are many hidden wonders in hungary which is waiting for explore. One day i taken the wrong bus and i had a nearly 20 km (nearly 14 miles) long walk to home which taken hours. Omg the nature and some Mary statues surrounded my way and also a river and a few village and a town where i found a shop with a nice seller. Omg i was smiling and happy by this adventure but when i started i was angry :)
I was born in America, but both of my parents were born in hungary. I've been to hungary 3 times, the most recent time for 2 months. I have a huge family over there. Yes, budapest is amazing. Especailly at night. The thermal baths are a must. Also, summer concerts and festivals. But my favorite place is lake balaton. A great way to see the country is by taking a boat ride down the Danube river. The food is extremely good. I hope you go someday. It is well worth your money and time. 🇭🇺
Can you speak hungarian?beszélsz magyarul?
Funny that ur last name means polish. But ur Hungarian. American.. 🇮🇩🇭🇺🇮🇩🇭🇺🇮🇩🇭🇺❤

You didnt saw Hungary untill you saw the Kiskunság, its a 1000 m2 area south from the city of Kecskemét. Yeah Balaton, Budapest, are pretty, but all those natural "liget"s, and dunes... They are not in these promo videos. Check the village of Bugacpuszta, thats pure Hungary. Youre allways welcome here bro 😁

Yes. In Hungary we had a traditional wear but nowadays it s a forgetten thing. Yes we love spicy and we are eating Erős Pista for almost all of the soup. Hungary is BEAUTIFUL.
R Berci Awh but the traditional wear is probably for major days!
Hi Brian! Something you should know about our traditional wear: it is not forgotten for all. :) What you wear is a choice. I've got some traditional shirts and boots for weekdays or everydays too. If you visit Hungary, let me know, please! I can show you a lot of things (wears, places, foods, snacks, musics, tastes, drinks and so on), and I'm would like to.
And you said right Túró Rudi!
#Erőspista for good days! 😍🌶️🌶️
@@BrianVelez check up the székely traditional wear, I think its the most beautiful.
I have to say erős pista, is only for bad foods or for dinner, it spoils good food.
As a hungarian traditional archer, you melted my heart with your reaction.
Te is?nájsz
3:14 you aked where is that place. Well it is Boldogkő Castle. (it's a bit far from Budapest) 😊
Visegrád Castle is a similar place here in Hungary but it's on the top of a mountain near to the Danube Bend. So the view is amazing.

Dear Brian,
Thank you for watching and sharing our video, we are really glad you liked it and we were soo touched by your response! :) We'd like to answer all your questions you had while watching.
- Waterfalls? Yes, we have some waterfalls, the one you saw here is the Hámori Waterfall in Lillafüred. It is the tallest waterfall in Hungary with a height of 20 metres.
- Is it the traditional wear of Hungarians? - You were right about that point! You saw Hollókő and Great Plain scenes with traditional wears. The "skirt-like apron on the front-end" on men is part of the Hollókő wear, called szakácska. The black vest is typical as well.
- Lord of the Rings place: Gombos-hegyi Cellars in Hercegkút, these are actually entrances of old wine cellars. Local wine is amazing, we recommend you to try it.
- Big on spice: right, we are. This is red paprika powder, the "secret" ingredient of most of our dishes, there are both hot and mild versions.
- The little mountain top place which you'd like to visit is the Castle of Boldogkő.
- The globe is in Noszvaj, it is actually a rentable suite to spend the night under the forest sky.
- You were right with the outdoor concerts: we have many popular festivals, the biggest one of them is Sziget.
Check out the description, we have a detailed list of the video's locations with places all worth to visit. We can only agree with your idea visiting not only Budapest but more places in the country, Budapest is amazing but Hungary has so much more to offer beside the capital!
You are always welcome in Hungary and a huuuge thank you again for picking our video! :)
WOW Hungary thank you so much for your kindness, and increíble way of documenting the beauty that is Hungary! ❤️
I appreciate you responding to several of my questions! 😄 Go figure! So it sounds like there is more than just one waterfall out in Hungary! It was cool to learn about the traditional wear and I had no idea that spice was used that often in your dishes 😆 Seems like I need to be careful or I’ll spend my trip near a bathroom! I would love to try out that outdoor globe experience. Looks so stunning! 😅 Amazing video and thank you so much for sharing with me and others the beautiful sights in Hungary! 🙌🏼 🇭🇺

Lord of the Rings House = row of wine cellars in Hercegkút, Tokaj Wine Region
There are a lot to see in Hungary, and the biggest mistake tourists does is that they just go to Budapest and misses out on the places just as beautiful as BP!
There is our "sea" the lake Balaton (if you go there I recommend the northern, more mountainy part of it)
There is the biggest point of Hungary, the 'Kékes tető', it's 1014m high, and very beautiful,
There is the Hortobágy national park, in the biggest plains of Hungary, you will see a lot of the traditional costumes there,
And also there are the cities of Pécs, Szeged, Debrecen, Sopron and more cityes where you can find loads of programs!
And off course there are a lot more to see in Hungary, so if a Hungarian or someone who has been to Hungary reads this, please comment down your favourite place in this very beautiful country! :)
Tata (small town) is also beautiful! With the 2 lakes and the castle! Also known as the water's town! I also could recommend Szentendre, Győr too!
In the north eastern mountains, there are a lot of old castles, my best holyday was when we visited 5-6 castles in that area, and did a lot of hiking to beautiful places.
@@bencekontra4035 Yeah, I totally agree! 😉👌🏻
My fav place in Hungary is Castle Festetics with it’s amazing garden

Btw i am hungarian and i enjoy your videos very much😄
6:31 yes it absolutely freaking delicious you HAVE to try it!
As a hungarian, Hungary is the most beautiful country in the world.❤😊
Greetings from Hungary❤🇭🇺🇭🇺
That globe was Hévíz. Thermal lake city. Hungary is especially rich in underground thermal water and thermal bathes. Also Hungary has a lot of mountains worth to hike besides the Hungarian Great Plains which i have just recently visited. The most iconic place in the Plains is Hortobágy and it's National Park (in the video, the folks were there in blue traditional clothing with whips abd horses.) From Hortobágy, you can see the Milky-way at night, no light pollution at all. Worth to do a google search on "hortobagy night sky". There is a long distance hiking trail called the "országos kéktúra" (national blue trail of Hungary) which is a 1160km long, which goes across the country. It is also part of the "országos kékkör“ national blue circle of Hungary. The blue circle goes around Hungary (more than 2400 km). The purpose of the trail is to demonstrate Hungary's tradition and its face. Really love my country. Greetings from Hungary 🇭🇺!
Because of the Treaty of Trianon half of that family vineyard was stolen.

it's reminded me that in my village have a celebration that we call "village pig slaugther" at that time we get there 2-3 pigs we have there mulled wine. this is one of the best celebrations we have in my village.

Señor Sausage awhhh ❤️ much love from Fort Lauderdale! Thank you for your support 🙌🏼
your videos are great..thanks for your interest and enthusiasm for our culture
3:14 that castle is in Boldogkőváralja 😊
The lord of the rings houses are at Hercegkút, which is a village, part of one of the most famous wine region in the world, called Tokaj. Those are actually pretty big wine cellars some of them goes more then a hundred meters long into the mountain. The temperature in those cellars could be about 7-12 celsius even in summer. I was there about a month ago, it was insane.
The name of the town where you saw this traditional clothing is Kőszeg. This is a traditional town and they usually wear this clothes on Easter and they sprinkle a full bucket of water to the girls :) But you could see so many places in this video such as Lake Balaton where they usually organise Balaton Sound Festival and you could see the biggest festival in Hungary, which name is Sziget. We have lot of beautiful places. I advise you Eger (you can see there our historical castle from Turkish time), Tihany (It's near to Balaton and you can see there the Abbey of Tihany and lot of beautiful hill around it) Esztergom (The Pope was living there some hundreds years before when we had kings) or Székesfehérvár (Home of Kings crown) but here are so many beautiful places in Hungary. If you come here make a video :)
Thank you for the video, it was a hearth warming few moment to see the side of my homeland, whats im actually missing in the last five years (living abroad).
I don't really like being Hungarian...but when I see these kind of videos, my heart starts to beat faster. Thank you so much for this video!
Proud of my country😍
I spent two weeks in 2018 visiting friends in Somogy and Baranya provinces in the southwest of Hungary. I stayed in Pécs, the 5th largest city. It’s in the Mecsek Hills so lots of rolling landscapes, kinda like western Kentucky or West Virginia. Lots of history in Pécs but also very modern. I also spent a day in Villány, the wine region which has many of those “Lord of the Rings” houses (they’re wine cellars). Being a Midwest farm girl, I loved the wide open spaces and agrarian countryside. I’m hoping to go back in August 2020 for the Kurultaj festival in Bugac which is a gathering of nomadic cultures from Europe and Asia. Also visit Lake Balaton which is about an hour drive from Pécs
To be honest, Im feeling so bad now, cause I didnt know(even if I visited some of these places) that Im living in such a wonderful country.
Loved your reaction, it made me proud!
❤️🇭🇺
That castle on the top of a mountain you saw, is called Boldogkőváralja, it is really beautiful. In hungary, there are a lot of big festivals, even one of the biggest ones in europe, called Sziget fesztivál. People comes there from all around the world. When you come here, you must try our national drink, the Pálinka, and some of our world famous wines, like Tokaj, or some of my personal favourites like Egri bikavér, or some of the wines from Szekszárd.
We in Hungary doesn't really get foreign attention so we love is someone pays some to us. On that note, Hungarian rock/metal pls? :D
Viktor Lavati oh man 😆
Hihi, I'm a bit late, but when they pour water on the girls, its a Hungarian tradition, we do it on Easter's day :)
I think explaining Hungarian folk dresses is really difficult because in the country every part has their own costumes and their own traditions but these varying from village to village. Hungarian folk culture is really rich. Every part has its own music, dress, and traditions. I really like the costume of Slavonia (that was a part of great Hungary, now it is in Croatia), Kalotaszeg ( now it is in Transilvania), and the costumes from Somogy.
If you are interested in our folk culture I think it's a great idea to watch some Felszálott páva videos. These videos are from a talent show for Hungarian folk dancers, singers and musicians. In these videos you can see different Hungarian folk dances, costumes and also you can listen to our folk music.
I hope I could help you. :)
Though this video about the landscape of Hungary is primarily an internationally well-aimed tourism pr-stuff, the imagery and the athmosphere is absolutely fantastic. It melted my heart :) Imho Hungary belongs to those countries that have the most beautiful landscape in the world. It is a small and pure gem. E.g. Lake Balaton with its hilly surroundings, or the mountains of the North-eastern or the South-western part of the country. The Great Plain with its vastness and its flora and fauna. I love these so much :) Thanks for the video, Brian! :) Greetings from Hungary :) If you can visit Hungary one day, i'm sure you'll be welcome :)
Greetings from Budapest: i love your videos🖤
I was in Hungary last summer. The Lake Balaton area is awesome. Lots of hills for sure. Make sure you bring good shoes and check out the cliff dwelling near Tihany. The flight from Canada is direct to Budapest in the summer so it's not too shabby.
Damn Maaaan! It was an epic video. Im from Hungary, and I got goosebumps on my skin when I saw the video. I borned in Hungary and I live here since, and even so i didnt saw some places from the video. I highy recomnend to come here in our beautiful country and look thoose places with your own eyes. You will never regret that im sure.

Thanks for checking Hungary. :) I am sure you will enjoy your stay as a tourist. :) Come and taste lángos, gulyás, Túró Rudi and some wines, visit our big lake, Balaton and if you have a bit more time, check the city of Eger too. But the most important: avoid to hail free TAXI cabs (there are many cheaters to pull you off) just on the streets, call them on the phone or by app instead.

There are mountains here in the north, but they are not very tall. The tallest one is the Mátra, where the highest point (Kékes) is at 3,330ft. The south is famously flat. If you'd like to go hiking in the mountains, I recommend you go either to the Mátra or the Bükk.
