I have 2008 Audi b7! Ready to detail the engine bay this week. Would you recommend covering up electrical areas like the battery? Or am I good to get the whole thing wet like this one?

Nice video, really liked the finished product. Are all the plastic covers original to the car or are they aftermarket?

@@slosoa115 The drivers side cover that hides the abs unit washer bottle and power steering reservoir is from b7 rs4 part number 8E0103927F all other can be found on any b6 or b7 (The large cowl cover was discontinued from base models -04 model year and of b6 and b7, but can be fitted to any b6 and b7 directly replacing the small fresh air intake cover). To properly mount on any other car than rs4 the side cover you need s4 or diesel v6 coolant expansion tank. (rs4 tank has the radiator overflow connection in the left side of the filling cap and s4/v6 reservoir has one extra in the same place that needs to be blocked on any other engine.) 2 other brackets are also needed one of them is oem bolt on, and it replaces the shared mounting bolt of the washer reservoir and powerstreering reservoir. The front mount is identical but needs custom fabricated bracket where to mount it.

Hello! A newer and more modern car will ofcourse need more cover. Its always recommended to cover up all eletrical contact points, but in my case I did not have to. I felt certain that it would be okay :)
