Some of us are tired of making ungrateful people more money with our talents and energy; all while sacrificing our joy and work life balance. Sometimes it’s better to bet on yourself.
I'm like Ken, I'm old school and life philosophy I learned when I was a kid from Kenny Rodgers song "Know when to hold em', know when to fold em', know when to walk away, know when to run. You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table, they'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin' done."
I agree with this video I retired at the age of 28 and I’m 32 now. When I quite my job 2 years ago it was because it was the right time for my wife and myself. I reached my goal to retire early so we decided it was time for me to quite and I never looked back.
I’m 34, I quit my job at 30. (Because) - at 28 I had 2 heart attacks , 2 strokes , blood cancer , and cardiac artery disease. That was all in 2 years after I got out of the marine corps. Do I want to have a job? Sure. Is it worth it? Naw.
@NactoNation, congratulations 🍾🎉🎊🎈!
I do pray everything works out. 🎉 I like reading stories like this. (:
What jobs are people having or what parental support to retire before 55-60?
Dave tells us to go out and get 3 jobs to pay off your debt, while Ken tells us "winners always quit" and why America is in the middle of record high personal debt crises including credit cards.
I figured out when to quit my job as a software development engineer- after I accumulated my savings to retire early, never looked back.
I’m a Winner. Amen!!!
I love that phrase: you have something to quit TO.
I like it also.
Love ❤️ this!! Amen 🙏🏾
Ken, this is due in many ways to Dave. Dave put in our cultural psychy to be debt free and live below our means. Recently Morgan Stanley did a free anysis on my portfolio and told me the Montecarlo showed a 99% (I am taking SS at 70 and it will cover my fiixed expenses for life) success with all cash and a part time job to 70, 99% with fixed invome and no job, 89% adding stocks (due to risk). My response was, "No Sh@t." Thank you Dave! Corporations are so toxic right now as they are squeezing every ounce of blood from our rocks. Baby Boomers are retiring at 10,000 a day through 2030. I told the new VP millennials are not going to work 6, 7 days a week. We can't keep them employed as most companies can't. My gut tells me corporate America is not going to change and will use automation (AI) to replace many jobs. If that happens, Dave's advice will be even more critical.
Good story.
I need an evaluation as well. 😊
Great stuff Ken!
Well said. Subscribed. ❤
Best advice!
I think if u make a mistake again , then again few months later.. maybe its a sign.
6:46 exactly where I'm at
Quit as soon as you get another job
Ken chanel would benefit more from Shorts type of content. Make good titles that attract views. People love to hear other people reminding them to leave evil big corporation , or their worth etc
I'm mostly agree with the Ramsey crew. In this instance, I disagree. Couple of hard facts here. The unemployment number is not accurate. I dare any of the Ramsey crew to challenge me on that fact. The next point is those people who quit, I bet the majority of them regret it
Right. Like don’t get me wrong I’m plotting an escape, but I’ve had several friends laid off multiple times in a single year. Heck one girl was literally hired, worked one week, and was laid off. That makes me nervous.
@@ninjagirl226 yeah this is the time to hold on to a job for dear life unless you are in high demand and have networks that can put you in different jobs

@@richaroo5554 👍🏽 yep
Also a great time to unionize. The current administration is relatively pro-worker and wages/benefits haven’t kept up with inflation or corporate profits.
pro worker? tell that to the rail workers union
@@jonathanfoster2263 relatively lol. It’s a low bar and he tripped over it. Working class families in the US have had a really bad run of presidents thanks to the red scare and neoliberalism, so he’s probably the best president on labor policy since Truman.
I definitely have plenty of problems with Biden, though. He also hasn’t done anything to make the bosses at Starbucks, AT&T, and Amazon negotiate contracts in good faith. The bar for supporting workers and their efforts to exercise their first amendment right to assembly is just that low I guess.
Pro worker- tell that to the Teamsters union, the electricians union and aerospace workers of America union. Biden is only good at handing out other peoples money for votes which caused this inflation and recession. The problem with Socialism is sooner or later you always run out of other peoples money.
You’re a Coleman is crazy
I have a hard time believing any data. Unemployment rate only comes from people that report that they are unemployed
I'm going to quit to win
+4 million jobs created??
Good thing you weren't Jordan's high school basketball coach.
Old video
Why work? Your wages are flat, and inflation is up 30% a year for the last three years. We would all be better off unemployed taking a check from the government.
That's a noble idea, but who is paying the rent, food, etc. Living is very expensive
Ya, printing trillions of dollars had nothing to do with inflation, Ken. It's the tiny wage increases that are the cause of inflation. How do you have your own show? Riding the Ramsey name, huh?
More platitudes than Dr. Platitude
