If it actually manages to display everything at the intended brightness up to 1,500+ nits in HGiG without loss of color luminance or low-luminance color desaturation at up to 144 Hz that would be so awesome. Can‘t wait for Classy‘s review as well. Just hoping that gradation is improved since the G3 was quite a bit behind the S95C in that regard.

If it wasn't for that blooming I would buy the S95D in a heartbeat. Yet the more I see the S95D in a light controlled environment the more I like it. I thought i was sold on the G4 but LG still seem to push green. Whites are brighter but for some reason whites on S95D look more accurate and more natural. Not worth waiting for a Sony QD-Oled release. Love my A95L but was such a hassle ordering it I had to pay a premium over the already premium price. OLED is not for bright rooms for only thing they have is that dark , and in a bright room , LCD TV can have the darks as good as needed . Good ones . OLED is for what you see here , dark or dim rooms .
Great stream Fomo. Love being able to see all these like this. Hope you do more, yes even miniLEDs. How come the G3 many times showed more color than the G4? Is it because the G4 is brighter so it loses color on camera? Is it because G3 is calibrated? 36:18 for example, the G3 looks more colorful. 1:0250 same thing here. I've seen demos of the G4 being able to push more color than G3. Maybe that is outside FMM? It just seems like the G4 isn't more colorful than the G3 in most content here which is perplexing. At least it should be even but it looks more faded than G3. I don't get it. G4 I like because of features and gaming seems near flawless for PC this year 144Hz and fixed problems. I am still wanting to know a lot about the new Sony MiniLED. I know it's not OLED contrast. But I always have bias light behind my TV when watching anything. It will have other advantages I think. But remains to be seen.
@@spookyman9994 Even if calibrated. It's weird it showed more colors and vibrancy. But it could be an illusion in that the G4 is brighter and hence showed more washed out look. Other demos I seen G4 was always more colorful. But maybe film maker mode defeats that?
The Samsung QD-OLED's vibrant colors are visually appealing. However, our perception of colors differs in real-world scenarios. In the presence of a bright light source, colors are initially less visible until our pupils adjust. While colors become more apparent, their brightness diminishes. Until televisions can achieve the same brightness levels as the brightest real-world objects, they must simulate the blinding effect on our eyes. In this regard, WOLED technology comes closer to replicating real-world experiences. For HDR content with small, exceptionally bright elements, achieving higher brightness is crucial, even if it results in a whiter appearance. In such instances, reducing color saturation enhances realism. In non-real-world simulation scenarios, such as gaming, QD-OLED displays with highly saturated bright colors provide a more visually pleasing experience, akin to how our eyes perceive colors after adapting to a brighter environment.
Yes the Sony and g4 are awesome. But I just got this week the s89c 77 for 39.5% the cost of the Sony. I know I will not get 2.5 times the enjoyment from the Sony. The best is never the best value. The G4 seems very impressive. It has fantastic HDR impact while retaining accuracy as well as possible, but the near-black and low-luminance colors really seem improved and that is what needed improvements the most on OLED. Hi! Yes you can change the tone mapping on the A95L, they just left it in its most accurate mode Gradation Preferred. The A95L can actually be brighter than what they showed here.
Sony states that a firmware update is coming for the A95L, do you think this will make a difference for the shootout?
Wanted to see motion comparison with all of them having best motion settings (mainly g3 and g4 cinematic movement at same time) but from what i can tell g4 is a step up in movement which ia important to me. If only big boi sizes came with a stand and a better remote LG would be the one for me
There was a motion comparison at the end of this stream. I know it’s long, but there is a motion portion there (at the end).
G4 motion is awesome
@@icemanandbobtechandgaming That's what I was referring to, they didn't do both G3 and G4 with cinematic motion at same time during the motion section
Sony all the way and Samsung at bottom because they panels have motion smoothness forced
@@wingedhussar1453 I went 77 a95l cause it comes with a stand and a real remote. Picture is great but some issues with audio so I can't really recommend it
G4 is KING. cant wait to get my 83" hooked up with my Kef Metas and dual subs. I will never leave the house!
Lmaoo optimism is good but it’s not true until the professionals say so bud
G3 looks better lol
Trying to buy the G4 but nowhere to be found in Ireland
What is the best TV for streaming? 90% of my viewing is streaming. S90D, S95D, A95L, G4, G3?
A95L
How big of a jump will I see if upgrade from 77” A9G to A95L, S95D or G4 in Cinema Home mode?
It’s a pretty big jump from the A9G to any of these. The A9G is awesome, but these have addressed many issues from the past and have improved upon a lot. You will definitely notice the difference right away with any of these models.
@@icemanandbobtechandgaming Thanks, that’s good to hear.
@@jinchuriki26 You’re welcome! If you do upgrade, thank me later! Let me know which one you got if you remember also….l may have a picture settings video up for it.
Am I the only person who just finds qd-oled just more soothing to view? I have an s95b as well as 2 lg woleds, and even in sdr content, there is something, aside from brightness, that makes the tv nice to look at.
Why broadcast in 1440p and not 4k ?
Ty for this
Great Job guys I still think A95L destroys everything in clarity and depth but we'll see what else Sony brings this year!
Only downside of the Sony , they don’t make an 83” version !
@@jillbraser9302 no one makes an 83" QD-OLED or MLA, 77" is the biggest size
@@DevinesTechThe G4 is available in an 83 inch MLA. G4 is the winner in the 83 inch size this year.
and when will Sony come out with their new QD OLED?
@@DevinesTech LG G4 does come in a 83” size with MLA & A11 processor .
The guy at Best Buy said they keep replacing the qd-oleds demo models because of burn in.
Sorry FOMO, I have to ask - Which of these is brightest and least black crush with BFI ON? Thanks for this epic stream!
I haven’t bought a tv in years and I want to get one soon. I am split between the G4 and the A95L. Also, I recently read about the G4 HDMI 2 (eARC) issue. Has it been resolved?.
Good job on the video and May Jesus bless you all. Amen.
Seems like Sony is just consistent in every test though I'm not sure why the g4 was ridiculously white compared to the other 3 on that face tone test!?
I’m looking to buy a g4 83inch or Samsung qn95d in 85inch I’m in a bright room what would you recommend thanks toddy
OLED is not for bright rooms for only thing they have is that dark , and in a bright room , LCD TV can have the darks as good as needed . Good ones . OLED is for what you see here , dark or dim rooms .
@Brian Tech A95L or S95D for Game motion and best color which one??? Also can you do a gaming video on those two
Sony always has better motion even in this video I can see how soft the picture is in motion compared to sony looming crisp
G4 better than both lol
No@@interistapazzo1.9.0.8
both are better than G4 because of the QD OLED panel, but I would still pick A95L over S95D because of dolby vision and better image processing
@@MISTERMASTER1234 lol the g4 is better than this trash qled with 0 dettailed image fanboy
No point of high brightness if the image is washed out
its only washed out on camera
But remains to be seen.
yea i was wondering this as well. in many scenes the G3 pulled ahead compared to the G4. maybe bc the G3 is calibrated?
in the stream fomo mentioned that the g3 is calibrated .
@@spookyman9994 Even if calibrated. It's weird it showed more colors and vibrancy. But it could be an illusion in that the G4 is brighter and hence showed more washed out look. Other demos I seen G4 was always more colorful. But maybe film maker mode defeats that?
@@Swecan76 in short the g3 is an amazing tv and the g4 is a little bit better .
This is The Gold stuff. keep it up.
Yes the Sony and g4 are awesome. But I just got this week the s89c 77 for 39.5% the cost of the Sony. I know I will not get 2.5 times the enjoyment from the Sony. The best is never the best value. I felt the 89c was such an amazing value that was why I bought it. Also because of Brian's and Kevin's recommendations. Not to mention I get Xbox with it. I'm very very happy with it. Love your guys' work.
Excellent job FOMO as always
I bought an open box Sony 83" A80L for $3770. I'm hesitant to pick it up.
Can you turn overscan off/on for sd content live tv on the s90d?
Wasnt possible in recent years so probably not. Also not on LG TVs. Its such a pointless restriction that makes SD content look even worse.
@@der_dude1425 are you sure about lg tv's too? That's the first time I've heard of that
@@stevenhocking6407 I have a LG C2, I can 100% confirm that all SD content has forced overscan without possibility to disable it. I cant confirm it for other Samsung and LG models though, but Im pretty sure.
@@der_dude1425 have you tried 'original' for the picture size setting and then just scan to on?
@@stevenhocking6407 I can try it again at home but Ive tried everything. Just Scan ist just greyed out when youre on SD TV.
Great Review and show!!!!
Main thing i can tell is sony has the best motion handling where everything looka super crisp and no soap ipera effect while samsung looka soft in motion and has smoothness
The G4 seems very impressive. It has fantastic HDR impact while retaining accuracy as well as possible, but the near-black and low-luminance colors really seem improved and that is what needed improvements the most on OLED. Adding 144 Hz support and better color volume in game mode this one‘s a real winner. Any thoughts on gradation? Did it somewhat catch up to the QD-OLEDs original is it still as bad as the G3 especially for gaming?
i'll test that in the coming weeks
Hey FOMO, what streaming software do you use and how do you bring up a comment to your stream? Thanks!
FOMO does not care about you , but he brings up comments trough a streaming software . IF you google it you will find it .
QD-OLED > all!

Why do the lg tvs seem to be more blueish tint
All camera sensors are hypersensitive to the blue on OLED TVs using LG’s WOLED panels (like A80L, C4, G4, G3, etc) but it’s not that “blue” in person
@@stopthefomo thank you boss.
I see that S95D is coming very close to A95L. Does it mean that if I get S90D I almost get A95L at a bargain sans the great processing by Sony ?
YES, if you can afford the 77" S90D for less than the 65" A95L, go for it! Currently $2500 at BB howl.me/cmZXKPBdWK7 and Amazon amzn.to/4dF0PIa
@@stopthefomo thanks a lot! I also have partner discount for LG G4 and I can get 77 inch at 3k along with their home theatre. I now torn between G4 and S90 though I prefer not to buy from partner site as there is no return policy. How good is the motion processing in s90d compared to g4?
For me, in person, I can always see the blue/green tint on the LG OLED screens. I dislike it way more than I dislike that the Samsung doesn't have DV.
Good morning everyone,
I'm leaning heavily towards the 77" LG G4, but I'm curious if anyone can confirm that the G4 does indeed have Google Chromecast built-in.
I know it's a simple feature, but it's a feature that I use daily on my current tv.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to respond.

@Stopthefomo what motion settings are you using for the Sony??

A95L
great content!
Streaming DV is not the same as an UHD DV with FEL/MEL metadata...
I'm planning to buy a new tv this year. I'm thinking of Sony A95L or Samsung S95D? Which do you recommend?
I personally would get the S95D for my family because we like Tizen OS better than Google TV, and for our console gaming needs, the S95D is a better gaming TV than the A95L. Dolby Vision is not a "must have feature" for me but Samsung's Game Motion Plus is definitely better than anything Sony has for game mode. S95D is also brighter for sports in a bright room when the lights are on and room is lit up. BUT if it was a man cave for only movie watching, I'd get the A95L with the Quad Theatre system. On Sale 65" S95D $2789 for AAA members howl.link/j6obu1xcp1l2l and at BB $3100 howl.me/cnawkcO1MVa
@@stopthefomo Thank you very much for the answer. I will be mainly playing video games, but I'm afraid of the matte finish in S95D. The A95L is also more expensive than the S95D.
@@Tomek_Zylain that case G4 then
G4 looks incredible but the price is way too high I can purchase the 55 inch Samsung S95C New for $1549 dollars.
G4 will be $3,499 by July or end of Summer
S95D is a beast really flexing the colors
So G4 is dethroning the A95L as the best TV for 2024?
No
Yes
Hell no, not even close. A95L is still superior in every aspect
New year, new king thats it
G4 replacing my JVC 2012 Projector
A95l far way better than the rest. If not that anti - glare coating on Samsung I would go with it due to price.
LG CX is brighter then C1 and C2
That's what I'm rocking in 77"cx
Sony's processing is just superior. If they ( Samsung display/ Sony ) made an 83" and it was $5,000 I would pull the trigger. Otherwise... I just sit back and wish. I hate the LG operating system though. LG's processing is really good but once you see the Sony everything else is 2nd best. Maybe if the 83" G4 drops to $4,500 I'll go back to LG. The 83" just hits different, I have 2 other Sony's and want to stay in the fam but no 83" on the tv I want means no upgrade. ☹️
I would say the a95l is lacking in the highlights and is a bit blurry s95d has really good color contrast black levels ratio g3 seems washed but has good highlights the g4 seems to be better than the a 95l in comparison i would get the g3 the g4 or the s95d
Thanks!
A95L is just something else.
65 inch g4 or 55 inch a95l. More or less the same price. Watch alot of of cable
G4 is excellent with cable
