So nice to have you here in the comments! Thank YOU for your work on the game. I'm sure it will be making many people happy once they get a chance to play it.
This video is great! It gave me a good idea of not only the rules but the feel of the game and what makes it compelling. You’ve definitely helped sell me on this, thanks!
Great overview of this game, you two! It looks like a pretty good time and I like the theme and presentation. Can't wait to try it out in person someday
Hy Emily, i have somes questions for you since your a Lacerda fan. I am a board game player that is not afraid of heavy euros and was looking to buy and try Kanban EV. I have never played a Lacerda game before, so should i try Bot first(since is also much cheaper than Kanban) or since i’m used to and not afraid of heavy euros go directly to Kanban? And lastly, i was hesitating between 3 Lacerda games: Kanban, on Mars and Lisboa. Kanban has a little edge because of the theme(tired of Mars theme and Lisboa is not attractive), wich game you like and recommand the most in the Lacerda games. I’ve i haved see other content creator and the one that is uselly first is Lisboa. Thanks for your answer and have a nice day😁
As a huge Lacerda fan (I own all his games and have playtested on many of them) I say if you are not 'afraid' of heavy euros them jump into the Lacerda game in which the theme appeals to you the most. If that is KEV, then get KEV. :) The thematic integration into the mechanics makes his games 'easier' to learn and that is why I say pick the one where the theme most appeals to you. I personally love Lisboa, beautiful art (IMO), lovely history, just an amazing game. That said, Bot Factory is a great game, while it's lighter then his usual designs, IMO it has some great "crunch" and I really like the faster play time for a weeknight game or lunch time gaming with my husband. :)
🤔 my second ever "adult board game" i got into was kanban EV. its super fun. i will say the only thing is the set up/pack it back up is time consuming. i will say that. other than that i love this game. mind you this was 1) my first lacerda game and 2) like my second board game playing solo other than gloomhaven JoTL
As long as you are aware that you're in for a longer teach and heavier play, I would say you're good to just jump into Kanban. The great thing about Lacerda games is that they're very thematic which helps keep things intuitive even when you get into more complicated rules. I'll take the same stance as Jeremy Howard always says and tell you I can't tell you how to spend your money, but that said Bot Factory is significantly cheaper so if your wallet is feeling a little light right now buying that first could be a solid plan plus it's easier to get to the table if you don't already have a heavy gaming group. I have not played Lisboa (although I've seen it played) but of all the Lacerda games Kanban is my favorite. To me it feels like the most smooth in terms of mechanics coming together and I really enjoy the timing decisions that come into play with the worker placement.
I was delighted to see you talk about the game! So good! I loved the video. Thank you very much.

Great job Emily and "Just" David :D I had the pleasure of playtesting on this one and enjoyed it a lot.
"Just David" is quite the callback! Thanks for watching.
Love these more conversational overviews.....thanks!

Thanks for vid. Just grabbed from my FLGS. Quick question… what is thematic reason for using speech bubbles as currency.
