Dylan Moran co-wrote Black Books with Graham Linehan who wrote The IT Crowd who co-wrote Father Ted with Arthur Mathews. Three brilliant comedy programmes.
Big fan of Black Books, have to check out Father Ted
what was your mother's maiden name? I don't know! I always called her ma!" Bernard Black in Black Books is comedy gold
Dyson Moran was in a brilliant comedy series called Black Books from the year 2000, ran for 3 series.
@@chrissedaka8141 haha stupid autocorrect
Whoever recommended Dylan Moran neglected to mention his amazing tv series, Black Books. DO IT! You won't regret it :)
I was looking for this and this was the first comment. I concur and will make the same comment until he does!
More I think about it I reckon King Boomer would actually die from laughing at the acid sarcasm..it would be UA-cam gold though!
Bloody love that show 😁
Black Books is really a Must-see! About a bookstore owner who doesn't want to sell anything. He hates his customers.
Definitely give Dylan more than one go. He's fantastically funny in a half-pissed Irish guy kinda way.
Half pissed?that's like saying jim Jeffries was always sober😂
When I lived in the US my mum came to visit. At a garden party one afternoon one of my friends said "I'm Italian" and my mum, who spent a lot of time in Italy, and spoke Italian, asked, "Oh, where from?" My friend said, "Oh, Sicily." I had to stifle a laugh as my mum asked her in Italian, "Oh, I love Sicily, Palermo?" And she looked at mum as if she had three heads. I had to explain to mum that people in the US identify by their heritage. She thought that was a bit nuts. :)
He is a fantastic comedian..way more of a storyteller type than one liner's.
Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey - Black Books. Genius
Dylan was in a brilliant sitcom called Black Books, with Bill Bailey and Tamsin Greig. It was written by the same person who wrote Father Ted, and is IMO one of the funniest sitcoms ever made.
60 Thousand K subscribers...now that's A LOT of muppets!! Congrats KB you deserve it.
"It's Calafornia, so who knows" . . .
said the Floridian 😅😅
Great reaction as usual - might I suggest that if you enjoy Father Ted and like Dylan Moran?
(And definitely check out more of his stuff - I'm very fond of his pieces on how different alcohols get you different kinds of drunk and also his skit on how woman's brains work in an argument compared to men's brains)
But if you like Father Ted & Dylan Moran, you need to check out 'Black Books' - a comedy written by Dylan Moran & Father Ted creator Graham Linehan. It stars Moran as 'Bernard Black' - a bookshop owner who really doesn't seem to want to sell any books. Well worth a watch.
Black books
Love Dylan Moran, seen his live show a few times. He's in a comedy with Simon Pegg called Run Fatboy Run which is worth a watch
And Shaun of the Dead
After seeing him in Adelaide 8ish years ago I find Dylan Moran’s style of comedy is some jokes mixed into a whole lot of random shit, which I find very unique and to keep it up for a couple of hours is quite impressive.
Stream of consciousness?
I'm British and Scottish, we take the piss out of those we like King Boomer, don't forget that. Take care mate
“ California is crazy “ says a man called King Boomer who lives in FLORIDA!
Never had a Starbucks and i'm fine with that. Moran penned his own show called "Black Books" which is funny with Bill Bailey in it. They are good foils for one and other.
'Look how good I am, at lifting the heavy thing' 😂😂😂
Dylan Moran is so funny man and one of my favourite comedians, so glad you checked this out
There's a lot of Dave Allen in Dylans' act, which is no bad thing at all.
He plays the main character in Black books....a brilliant comedy.
Please watch full episodes of "Black Books". Dylan Moran plays the lead -- a cynical, alcoholic bookshop owner who detests the general public. It includes lots of avant-garde humour and is written by the same guy who did Father Ted 💪🎉
A more recent clip of Dylan Moran (pronounced More-an in Ireland) is 'Dylan Moran Has a Fight with a Coffee Barista', from his 'Off the Hook' DVD. Apart from the TV series 'Black Books' Dylan has appeared in films, including 'Notting Hill', 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Run Fatboy Run', not to mention 'A Film with Me in It'.
Dylan Moran..pure excellence, what an oddball, I love him.
Dylan was in a wonderful sitcom called Black Books, I reckon you and the Queen would love it.
Dylan Moran now you need to do black books for sure
Congratulations on 60k 🎉 well deserved
I agree, King, I buy my coffee ANYWHERE but Starbucks.....
Thankfully we don't have too many in Sweden, the majority of their stores are in Stockholm or in that area. They have one in Gothenburg, but further south than that where I am you won't see any.
But I tried one once, it was expensive, barely room temperature and took a while to wait for. Never again. That said we do have our own version called Espresso House which is in every Scandinavian country and is also in Germany, it's basically the same tepid expensive coffee, and the have 460+ locations, so if you visit here you'll see one and know to avoid it.
The best coffee is always from a little coffee shop or cafe.
Also react to his comedy show Black Books with Bill Bailey !
Black Books is worth a look. Similar to Father Ted and made by the same channel. Dylan shines in this series.
I had an American friend at highschool and I shit you not he would do things like
'hey I like your pen, can I have it?'
What? No I need it
Then He'd snap it and be like 'its broken. Can I have it now'.😂
Black books is a good one to try starring him
Wow, you've got the whole of "Black Books" to go!
Hey Boomer. The bit of English you have in you is a brain and sense of humour. We have the ability to laugh at ourselves like no other nation and somehow it’s in your DNA. Keep up the good work. Lots of ❤️England. 👍👌
Irish, Scots and Welsh...yes...! English 🤔 l don't think so.
@@weemaggiejiggs8832 stop making me laugh. We laugh at the other 3 nations. What are the Welsh good at and the other 2 are just piss artists.
You should check out Black Books a sitcom Dylan did with another top quality comedian Bill Bailey.
for sure
What's a very American thing we can park in someone else's country?
A military base.
I thought it, but didn’t want to say it lol.
I wasn't subscribed! 😱😱😱
I am now!! 😎👍
Had to watch this episode, American getting the P#ss taken as we say in the UK.
We love you all really. ❤️
60k Subs Nice one dude I am very happy for you
Regarding Starbucks. I went on holiday to a place called Kanoni in Corfu in 1982. There was a great bar there, overlooking the Pontikonisi. When I went back, years later, the bar is now a Starbucks.
60000k would be great, 60 million. Let's make it happen
When you said you hate Starbucks I knew you were the only American Reacts channel I need to follow. Sorry JT, sorry Brad and Lucy, but the Boomer clearly knows his coffee
I used to not be able to stand Dylan, but now I really like him. He's an acquired taste, but when you get it, you get it.
An acquired taste like Guinness.
I went inti a starbucks once. Laughed out loud and never went back.
When i was in Denver in 96 and the Americans heard my accent, they asked me where in England i was from and not one of them had heard of Leicester so i had to say 'near Nottingham'..... only heard of it because of a fictitious bandit with zero proof he even existed! 🙄
This guy plays the maincharacter in the english 'sit-com' Black Books. I think you'd love that series. I think there is 3 seasons of it... if you can find it anywhere.
My favourite comedian.
Please check out more of his stuff.
Also black books.
Which is a comedy he wrote.
This has been a heck of a long time coming! I'm excited

As an Irish woman from Dublin, THANK YOU 🤣🤣🤣 I've a splash of Italian blood way back and it's visible, but if I'm asked I always say "Yeah I'm a bit Italian, but like, same as when Americans say they're Irish."
I’m Scottish and I’ve honestly never met an American who I’ve not liked.
It’s the politics that’s crazy.
It’s in my bucket list to visit one day.
Black books watch that
Watch it
This💯
It's by the same people that made Father Ted.
You have to watch Black books, it's made by same guy as father Ted and Dylan stars in it.
60 thousand k? wow grats on 60 million subscribers.
Starbucks taste like they go round all the other coffee shops bins and use old coffee lol
60 thousand K is 60 million - I would take that as a bona fide prediction. One way up KB :) Congrats, Si.
SIXTY THOUSAND K ! Tomorrow, THE WORLD!
You would probably enjoy Black Books, a sitcom he was in, it's not the usual cheesy sitcom though, it's more like IT Crowd or Inbetweeners
congrats on the 60,000,000 subscribers!
my TV is 60,000K
your ginger beard looks pretty impressive on it I must say!
I would suggest Dylan in Black Books but I feel Father Ted pips it to the comedy post
Great reaction as always M'Lord
strong recommendation for Black Books
My absolute favourite comedian. I think he's one of the most intelligent comedians out there, I'm so glad you were recommended this.
100% star bucks too , always full of fart sniffers too
Please react to 'Black Books' series -Thanks!!!
60,000 k is 60 million... thats quite a goal you muppet !!
Black books was awesome Dylan and Bill Bailey hilarious and Tamsin 😂😂
Yeah this whole I'm Irish American, or Italian American.
My Grandfather was Irish, I do not refer to myself as Irish English.
What's more annoying is they have a Guinnes and they think they're straight out of Cork.
I think the Italians are worse though, one bowl of pasta and they act like they just got off the boat from Sicily and become 2nd rate stereotype Goodfellas clones.
Dylan Moran is great, so funny and very clever. I have never been in a Starbucks and see no reason to ever go into one. McDonald's also and the others you mentioned. I didn't know people are leaving California but I wonder if the San Andreas fault has anything to do with it. I understand it's going to be a problem one of these days.
I hear that people are leaving Canada because of the ever increasing cost of 'real estate' - could this also be why people are leaving California?
Congrats on 60K to you both. ♥
I live in Japan and the convenience store coffee here is amazing. They use high-quality beans (Arabica, Colombian, Ethiopian blends) and serve lattes, espressos etc - all for about a dollar US. Best of all, no wait! You can get your coffee in under 5 minutes. So, really, why go to Starbucks? 😂
Check out 'Black Books' - utterly surreal.
I have visited many different states and cities in the US and my overriding impression is, that they are all quite different in many ways, even in California there is a massive difference between LA and Sanfranciso, most people I encountered were very pleasant and seemed to be in good shape.
I'm Italian and English with Irish heritage. English mother (2nd generation born and raised in England both grandmothers were Irish) and Italian father (born and raised in Italy). I was born in England and raised in Italy.
It´s just different type of humour.
Even the details like saying ....the reason why everybody is a bit funny about America is "apart from..." When I heard the "apart from" -:D, that was a great intro.... hehe..
So glad you watched this one, watch any of his stuff, it's awesome :)
I'm a big coffee drinker and can confirm Starbucks is garbage. Even amongst big chains in the UK, Starbucks is bottom of the barrel quality wise.
He did a comedy series called Black Books which was mad and funny with Bill Bailey you should have look when you get a chance.
I was on a plane to London from Edinburgh Scotland and an American lady seriously asked me if Scotland was a “big ass city or small ass town?”
On the plane. From Scotland. The country
Monty Python - Bicycle Repair Man
"STARBUCKAS" ARE LOVED IN MIDDLE EAST!!!🤓🤓
I think he's just stocious Irish character slightly surreal and originally molded from Richard E Grants 'Withnail'.
Subscribed on the off chance that 'Black Books' gets an airing!
Lol! 60,000k would be 60,000,000 maybe one day 😂
A few years ago we were in Seville, a city full of restaurants, cafés and wonderful tapas bars. Starbucks there was full of Americans, and you just thought ‘If you want to go to Starbucks, just stay at home’.
Same when they trued to open a Starbucks and Dominoes in Rome..🤣🤣🤣
I'm Irish.... cus I was born here, lived here all my life, if you were born in America and lived there all your life...... guess what, your America. Go figure.
Haha. "You'll be notified whenever I drop one." 😵
Hey mister boomer! It would be awesome if you would check out part of the Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend Podcast with Kevin Nealon. There's a part called "Kevin Nealon brings Conan to tears", which is some of the funniest podcast moments of the year.
Thanks for this reaction.
Just liked all the comments mentioning Black Books. To make sure they get noticed. X
If you like him you have to check out black books he's so god dame funny in that
Everyone is recommending black books which is great... but honestly, his stand up is all top notch. Watch more of all of it.
If I marry a Welsh man and we have kids, they'll definitely be British. I've great grandparents on both sides that were born in Ireland, I've one set of grandparents born in England and once set born in Scotland, my dad Scottish and my mums English, so I'm just missing the Welsh side.
Irish ledge is Dylan ☘️💚☘️💚
You're not alone. Starbucks be gone.
DYLAN MORAN DOES STAND UP AND SERIES,
"BLACK BOOKS"
Other Stand ups I recommend---
TOM SEGURA
DOUG STANHOPE
GEORGE CARLIN
"IT CROWD" SERIES
AND BILL BURR...ALL HILARIOUS!!!!!😄😄😄😄
Costa makes coffee, Nero's make coffee but Starbucks make "Starbucks" (which isn't coffee).
I’m English but logically then I suppose I’m part Scots, welch and Irish with my Celtic forbears and I’m North German, Danish, Swedish Norse, with a bit of French Norman Viking blood and a Roman mix of North African, Middle Eastern Italian, Spanish, Greek and French again that is why we Brits feel so at home wherever we go and own the world historically with our Hunnish Viking ancestry we are proud mongrels
I once asked some Irish friends what do they think of the Americans that call themselves Irish, they laughed and said we call them Plastic Paddies, they'd joke about them and say that drinking in a themed Irish pub sums them up perfectly, the polite ones say they're ancestors were the Irish ones not them and would say no more, not sure if that's a widescale image that the Irish have on American Irish or not I can't answer
Oh and as I’ve now read it fourteen times in about three minutes, I’m aware he co wrote “Black Books”
I’m looking forward to reading that another 347 times.
Starbucks has always been flavored hot milk.
Black Books.
That's the comment. Go watch it. Now.
dylan moran is dave allen - but on acid
The reaction background is all that separates you from the 500k to 1 mill subscription channels. Far more entertaining than any
