As a point of note: to unlock the "For Coin, Country, and Comrades" quest, you don't have to have all 12 endings completed to get it. You just have to have gotten ending 12 itself.
Loved this dungeon. Loved how the clues are hidden all over. The clue for the teleporter in the left route is found on a note in the middle pad. The secret for the secret boss is within the journal text for other routes. Also I love me some amalj'aa lore and love the dirty little secret that the Monetarists want to keep buried. =-)
I just completed this blind, without a guide. Literally got the last journal entry 10 minutes ago. My big mistakes were thinking the culvert and elevator switches, the ceruleum pipe bursting or not, which way I turn the wheel, if the path is blocked or not, if I go under or over the bridge; I thought all these affected the end result until I watched this vid. Getting entries #2 to #12 was a breeze actually. #12 was fun to find out in the journal because it was so blatantly obvious but that EUREKA sensation when I figured out the order I should kill the drakes and finding out which ore sacks I needed to teleport is just unforgettable. My biggest hurdle was actually the last entry: #1. I even made an excel sheet and a tree diagram to figure out which combination of choices and paths I should do to unlock it. I had like 48 possible endings and I was working through them one by one. When a friend hinted that getting the entry was similar to when I got #2, I checked my diagram and chose one particular path I have yet to do. I wouldn't have gotten it too even I did that path correctly if I didn't choose to wait by that damn closet. I'm hoping the next variant dungeon is equally fun because I'll be doing that blind too.
Did it all solo and went thru all 12 paths from the journal in two days. It was fun. Still need to do a few more times to collect items required to buy the cosmetic armor.
Does anyone know the song name playing during the variant 12 secret boss? I know it’s a version off of finality but I want to find that specific version. Thanks!
Does anyone know for Entry 1 & 2 why those bags are the correct answer? I don't understand the riddle, and when I looked it up I could only find which ones are correct, but not how to get to that answer.
@@ryudious good to know. I was very lucky and 1st and only party run did the run for page 12. I've since solo'd the 1st 3 and having a lot of fun of the subtle differences in battles
Thank you for the fantastic guide! Just a heads-up for RDM playing this -- using Variant Cure will spoil your ongoing Enchanted melee combo if you use it in the middle of that, and it will cancel the finishing move combo if you Variant Cure before doing the first step of the finishing moves -- but once you do that first finishing move, you can use Variant Cure and not lose the other finishers. Variant Rampart does not affect either the melee combo or the finishing moves. I'm still working my way through the entries, but decided to skip ahead to 12... hooboy. All but the unavoidable one (Cogwheel) of Thorne Knight's attacks will give you a vuln stack if you get hit! (Apparently works the same way for the other final bosses too?)I collected 5 on my RDM before she faceplanted, my first time around. But having seen all the mechanics, the second try was great success. Very rewarding ending too.
So I killed the Malboro last the the room filled with Ceruleum. The weird part that was my 3rd run into the right path. The first two times the strat worked.

Very enjoyable cutscene for that, too. I like the title that comes with it, as well.
TYVM for this guide! I just came back from a long break and this helped to get me the mount in a day
Thanks for the guide. Just finished doing these and no way was I figuring out that last one on my own.

this video was a huge help- thanks :)

I love your "get to the point" style
Thank you Mr happy this was exceedingly helpful in helping me clear the last three entries I was struggling to complete on my own
Thanks, this is extremely helpful!

in the center path, if you do the scales, the room after has a scrawled note on the floor. It mentions the correct sacks.
It has to do with a note found when taking the middle path. It's off to the side before the the Nald and Thal statues.
Can you solo the entire dungeon? Might be a fun way to kill some time during quiet spells
Yes, I’ve soloed number 12 also myself. Variants are scales but still challenging

Soloe it fine with RDM, using the Variant Rampart and Cure abilities. It's a nice challenge, especially Thorne Knight.

Where do you spend the potshards? Is where that is how you get the minions?
Spend them on the NPC in Old Sharlayan next to where you got the initial quest, and the minions are drops from the dungeon
Has anyone gotten drops from the first chest/chests?
If I am a tank, I have enough dmg to clear it?
I soloed all 12 paths as warrior. Only path 12s boss gave me any serious trouble. On average prob 20ish minutes a run.
Hating yourself is doing this as a WHM solo for the Silkie mount
I soloed most of mine lol
