    The song is so epic that you need two UA-cam videos to experience it all...
    Enough said.

    Truly their best live album. Few bands had moments like these on stage while performing 25 minute medleys. Page does what he always does: shreds and serenades and everything in between. No one can sing like Plant, save for maybe Freddie Mercury, in my opinion. Bonzo displays his uniquely eccentric, intricate, and just plain loud drumming style. And NO ONE forget JPJ EVER, the most underrated and extraordinarily talented instrumentalist with his awesome keyboards and his mastery of the bass.

      JPJ although plays acoustic guitar, pedal steel guitar (there are videos on youtube and he is amazing), mandolin etc... etc...

    This has to be one of my all time favorite performances of theirs, and as an absolutely obsessed Led Head, that’s saying a lot. They are at the absolute peak of their power and god given unnatural abilities here. No one has ever come even close. Love all the meddles. Robert sounds incredible!

    Best version of the song. God their live music is so different. But in the best possible way it's actually worth buying like multiple live versions and the album version of every song. My favorite band ever.

    Easily the best live album i've ever heard. This is truly Zeppelin at their best. Plant hits those high notes that only he can. Page shreds the guitar with some of the best solos and riffs ever. Bonham..,well it's mother fuckin Bonham, nothing more needs to be said.

    Джимми Пейдж трогает душу, Хендрикс просто виртуоз высочайшего класса. Но музыка - это все же больше душа и композиторский талант Пейджа все же выше. Прошу прошения за собственное частное мнение.

    I think the question of who is better ,page or Hendrix is kind of silly .neither of these guys were alone in there efforts. half the reason page could do what he did was because he so rounded him self with exceptional players that ,on top of that had an uncanny chemistry together .I think you can notice that after bonzo died ,pages playing while still great was never quite the same .like some of page died with bonzo .now Hendrix had a very special chemistry with Mitch Mitchell ,I feel that nole redding was probably the seeker link in the chain.but as far as who was better ? well zeppelin in my opinion was a better band.

    • @guitarplayer2846

      I think the question of who is better page or hendrix is a seriously flawed approach to nusic. They played very different dtyles, different songs, and lived on opposite sides of the pond. But there should be plenty of love to go around.

  • @wotajared
    @wotajared 13 років тому

    The riff here is much more badass than the studio version, I think the period between 1970-1973 was the best live playing by then. Still, every version holds it's special place.
    The theremin section sounds like aliens are abducting Plant.

    Jimi Hendrix was an animal on the guitar, but he was stuck in one place. You can say all you want about Jimmy, but the fact of the matter is Hendrix wasn't on jimmy's level musically, Jimmy is the better over all guitarist/musician/songwriter. Hendrix couldn't right anything near as beautiful as Page. What it all comes down to though is matter of taste and that is my opinion.

      Hendrix was with out a doubt the best ground breaking guitar player of the sixty's,Its a shame he didn't have nobody looking out for him,God only knows what he may have really been able to do.But you can't say that Jimmy Page didn't do the same in the 70's.Come on you got to give him his do...from 1969- the mid 70's,Was with out a doubt,The badass of that time...and if wasn't for the drugs who knows what more he could have done,

    • @bigrig6049
      @bigrig6049 5 років тому +1

      And PS in that time period nobody ever slammed him for being a sloppy player,After the drugs really started to affect his playing in the late 70s early 80's, now it's the fad to go off about how sloppy his playing was....Total BS.
