7 is not too young. My 7 year old (he has been doing robotics and programming for 2 years now, old fart) and they have a regional competition this year. And he built out a world with his tutor and made an amusement park with a massive rollercoaster and learned about physics since he kept crashing and killing for 2 weeks. Got super excited when he finally brought people back to safety. They are on winter break now, and I have him doing UA-cam videos to establish a channel and need to add more things for him to do. Building a game seems like a good idea. See if he can deploy it too. Was thinking of sending him to the motherland for a coding camp next summer.
Wow, yours like senior now :D I was searching on youtube a bit for similar content and found a girl that was using cursor to code :D So may be cursor is doable, depends.
@@EduardsRuzga I advised him about your ideas of using emojis. Gave him Mistral to design the code. He entered the prompt from Mistral and added the suggestions into Websim. Did a 10 level game variation of Bejeweled. That worked out of the box. Told him that was too easy and sent him into Recraft to get ideas and assets to design the UX, then sent him to Canva to extract elements and create a UX he liked. He also needs to design music and sound effects as well as level ups and rewards. Will have him re do the game in Websim and take the working version and assets and send him to Bolt or V0 or Courser or the new one. I know Bolt can take assets. Will have to check the others. But that seems too easy. Need to find something that will be harder. I got an idea of him to design a new Ну погоди! Game collecting eggs. Or something. For his generation audience, maybe a device catch haha, how many tablets, cell phones, smart watches can you catch haha. Or something. Will see how well it goes. There are tons of Game & Watch games from the 1980's to get inspiration from. He likes Bubble popper games, maybe that will be the next level.
Get an extension called Read Out loud (it reads whatever you select on page). Also, you can add voice to text feature in chrome or use translation add to dictate into then copy and paste over.
In chrome you can do it without extension, just select any text, right click, go to "speech", "start speaking" Only issue is that its way worse then chatgpt voice. And we did use Voice In chrome extension before but chatgpt model is better at catching russian then voice in or most other products.
bolt is using sonnet 3.5 model. In my experiance for web applications programming its best model out there. Almost all coding tools use it now. oTToDev/open source bolt now allows to select any mode, you can try mixral vs chatgpt vs sonnet there
With artificial intelligence the old way of writing programs will be limited. Young people who do not have old limitations in their minds will be more productive, they will simply ask AI to do what others did not think was possible.

I think the biggest risk is that a kid can lose motivation when something doesn't work out.
Well that is why I am there. To teach him how to overcome obstacles.

@@EduardsRuzga Спасибо!:)
Btw Mistral seems to be smarter at code than chat GPT and obviously bolt or V0

Yeah, I agree. They have opportunity to learn from scratch in new reality. That is why I was curious to see what will happen.
