IV Studios has been knocking it out of the park with their games! My friends and I almost exclusively play their games right now. They have a great variety in their games from Veiled Fate, Mythic Mischief, and Moonrakers. Can't wait for Fractured Sky!! Great other gameplay video btw. Watched that one too. You guys are my go-to channel for new gameplays and tutorials. KEEP IT UP!!
I was watching the Fractured Sky Kickstarter launch livestream today. The game funded ($100,000) in 13 minutes. The game looks really good! I've watched several games online, but I have yet to see a two-player playthrough. Since I mostly play solo or two-player games, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing you guys tackle this one!
Everything about this game looks great except for the gameplay. The gameplay looks like the game doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it area control, bluffing, limited information, or engine building? Kind of feels like another one of those kickstarter fomo games that will end up hitting peoples tables once or twice and getting a 7 on BGG and then never being brought up again. Cant wait for the playthrough tomorrow! I hope I am wrong about this game :)
Great video y'all! Question: at 7:11, that hidden objective said "a star fall for least built markets." Does that mean 0? or at least 1? What happens if players tie for an objective? Do the tied players all get 1 starfall?
I am going to be honest every single youtuber that covers board games has a video this game timed for release. It's gross how much it took over my feed. I got my youtube partnership back in 2008 in the video game community and it went through something like this that stopped me as an enthusiast from making videos myself about games. Seeing paid ads take over an entire board game community is just making folks like myself tune out and unsubscribe. It's impossible to tell if you even like the game genuinely. I do appreciate that you hold back your personal comments for paid ads like this but it also dumbs your content down a lot. Your channel is special IMHO I didn't unsubscribe to you like I did to 8 others today for the same thing ads over this exact game I enjoy both your personality and Naveen's and the interaction between you two. Even the seeing Dexter on from time to time is nice. If you really care about your audience take time to think it over. I am taking time to make this comment because I like your channel not to tear it down but as a member of your audience and I bet I am not alone I am over the kickstarter stuff that is clearly just paid ads of games you don't seem to actually like more then like meh. I don't mind coverage from events etc. of games you are actually interested in but I can honestly say I have not heard you talk about how great IV studios is and they are not as represented in your top lists at all. You just did a top 10 games if you could only own 10 where you shared the list of 10 and had to both agree and none of their titles were in there. I can't remember 100% but I don't even think Moonrakers made either of your top 50 games this year. I also don't mean to pick on IV Studios it's just Ads for Fractured Sky are everywhere it makes me want nothing to do with a game that might actually be fun because its being shoved in my face. Imagine reading a book and you are about to turn to the next chapter and boom AD right there stoping you from reading. I think it's also important that you consider some of your audience like myself uses youtube premium to avoid ads and this really goes against what we pay for. I suppose that is a youtube thing maybe they can removed paid content videos from premium so that this doesn't happen too. Anyway just a humble opinion with love and a little salt from a loyal subscriber.
I have to disagree with you with lots of the statements you make. This is not an ad but a rule teach of a game coming out. As you said, they are not saying how amazing the game is because they want to stay neutral. You chose to click on it and watch it, it did not pop up in the middle of a video you were watching. If you don't like those kickstarter previews just do not watch them. Monique and Naveen are obviously passionate about boardgames and making all this content for people to enjoy is time consuming and probably use a lot of their free time. It also requires quite the investment like filming material, buying new games to cover, going to boardame events... I don't blame them to try to self sustain their bordagme content.
@@benjamindebetencourt1526 I understand they are passionate and that the passion is genuine. If I didn't believe that I wouldn't watch. Sustaining a channel is not a greater goal than building an audience without an audience their is no channel. As an audience member I am giving honest feedback. Also time spent on content like this takes away from the truly passionate content. If Monique and Naveen were backing this kickstater all in with their own money. Were super excited about this game before it came to kickstarter and even thought thought for a second this game had the chance to be on their top 10 games from this year (sometimes we think this but then it doesn't happen when we play games like Ahoy! I also understand that)I 100% could get behind that.
@doginmylense We do not know if they enjoy the game and they probably make choices to feature only games in their channel that they have fun with. It is not because it is a paid preview and they decide to stay neutral that they think this game is bad and just cover it for the money. If they were to cover only games that will make their top ten, they would make a video every 3 months... About your statement saying that they make content for the viewers, that is true. But not any viewers are like you and want review and opinions on games, some people around here want a rule teach, get to know the new games coming out, and want to watch a playthrough to know how the games work and if it could appeal to them, without the need of a review. They make content for all different kind of persons, and if some of it is no interest to you, you can just skip that video ! But others are finding it useful.

Yay! I was hoping you would have a vid for this one. 🙂 Looking forward to the playthrough!
Awesome! Likely going to release it mid day or so tomorrow 😊
I love how you explain gameplay.
I’m so glad to see you guys do another IV Studios game. I loved your Moonrakers video. That’s the one I found your channel because of
That’s great to hear! Thanks for following along with us!

Thanks for covering this game! Looking forward to your playthrough. I'm sure it'll be awesome!!
Thank you!! Should be up a little later today.
Excellent...seen a couple playthroughs for this and couldn't make head nor tail of it 👍
Hmmmmm I'm a bit underwhelmed with the gameplay tbh but it looks impressive.

And what were your thoughts
Will you guys be doing a 2 player gameplay video? Really interested to see this at 2!
The black trays look way better than the coloured ones. I really hope they make them black with the color of the clan, like in this video.
Ooooo that's interesting :D Looking forward to the playthrough
Thank you! We’ll release it a little earlier tomorrow.
Another great video
Thank you!!

In another video I saw a similar goal and yes, if there are players who built 0, they are the least and the tie-breaker is the turn order as always.
When dose the pledge manager close?
YOU ARE BOTH AWESOME! ❤❤❤
This game seems pretty good, but It already feels like it needs an expansion. But it looks beautiful nonetheless.

Great comment on the situation the Kickstarter/board gaming UA-cam culture seems to be in at the moment.

This doesn't look much fun at all. Very basic for what is probably a very expensive game.
I agree, I decided to pass on it
