RUNGE Cars Shop Tour

  • Although ‪@RUNGECARS‬ Is not open to the public, we wanted to give a tour of the new workshop! As many of you know, Runge Cars was started In 2011 when I picked up some used metal shaping tools and started hammering away on my first car. I learned how to shape, weld and fabricate on my first build, FF001. Since then my passion has turned into my livelihood and after saving for the past 9 years, I finally moved out of our home garage and into my new workshop! Please note, the workshop is not open to the public. It is open to workshop class students and build customers however. I want to thank everyone who has supported the journey of Runge Cars.

Chris; I have to say that your shop is absolutely beautiful. And our industry has Needed someone like you in it for a long time. And you're a classy dude to boot. I've been in Body Shop for almost 40 yrs and paint is my deal. I hope people can learn that what your doing is Not Easy; and hell yes! It needs to be well compensated. I would say if a Bugatti is a million then yours should be right in close to numbers like that. Thank You. And I hope I can build a place like that for Me and my Son and Daughter...

@ remember a microphone is just a speaker being used in the opposite direction. Think drive through window. Most headphones can be used as a microphone, they just are not as sensitive. Love love that shop! Great work. Would love to hand you my dad's 86 911 and see what you could do with it. If only I had the dough.

    •  4 роки тому +7

@D Haley Thanks man, I am very fortunate to have customers that believe in me. I do not have investors, my customers are my investors, I didn’t inherit money from anyone and each build is commissioned. I started this journey at $0. I’m blessed to have family and friends who have pushed me and continue to push me to be my very best. The 002 car shown in the video has more blood sweat and tears (literally) under that paint than anyone knows. The few who know my whole story know that the cars saved my life. My hope is that every person can find something that drives them and ignite a fulfilling creativity and passion like this has for me..

We had the exact same storage bins in the tool store where I used to work -BP Refinery Grangemouth in SCOTLAND .Took me back to my apprenticeship days when I saw them .

    •  4 роки тому +1

Man that is cool. I didn't point it out in the video, but my friend also gave me the "Goodrich Aisle Lights" above those storage shelves. They were covered in 80 years of soot (which preserved them) They are a patented design that directs the light down onto the shelves but not into your eyes... Pretty cool stuff!

Chris- I love your videos and cars- I'm really curious and would love to see a video of how you got started to the point where you were actually making enough money building and selling these awesome cars. What did you do for income up to that point- and when did it turn over to where building and selling these amazing creations could become your actual living wage (assuming that's the case now). It doesn't seem to me that the UA-cam subscribers would be enough to accomplish that- and I would think a TON of viewers would love to know how you pulled this off.
