    I tried making this for the first time 1 month ago and failed. Today I tried making onsen tamago with instructions from you and it was a success.

    Every time you do your tasuki sabaki, you seriously look like a boss! The swift movements and the crisp sounds of the sleeves being secured announce “Get ready! Things are about to go down!”

    OMG, it looks so easy! I'm so going to try making it tomorrow! Ever since I saw an anime with onsen tamago in it (Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi, for those wondering, cooked inside a real onsen, no less!), I always have wanted to make onsen tamago. Thanks to you, Taiji, I can do that now! ありがとうね!

    I like the technique for cooking the eggs. That is so easy, but obviously takes a wee bit of practice to learn exactly how long to leave the eggs in the water.

    • @taijiskitchen
      @taijiskitchen  2 роки тому

      exactly! practice makes perfect! it took me also some try-and-error to figure out the best timing for me.

    Hi Taiji! Thank you for another awesome video! :) So when you keep your egg in the fridge for later, I assume you leave them in the shell? Have an awesome weekend.

      @@Icha74 oh, cool! that would have been one of the ochazuke idea.
      I would not put onsen-tamago to ochazuke, since the half-runny yolk would dissolve in the tea. but if you had the idea, you can certainly give it a try!!
