Fine China was formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1997. Soon after, they released their first 2 EP’s and a 7″ on SoCal indie label Velvet Blue Music. After the second EP, the core of the band was set as Rob Withem on vocals and guitars, Thom Walsh on the drums, and Greg Markov on the bass. The three have remained together through now
Twelve years after their last album, Fine China came back in 2018 with a full length recording for Velvet Blue Music, exactly twenty years after their first recordings for the same label! This new batch of songs was recorded in songwriter Rob Withem’s studio over the past year, and was mixed with Bob Hoag, the band’s longtime producer and engineer, at Flying Blanket Recording in Mesa, Arizona.

The band is playing occasional shows (including a recent streak of opening for The Ocean Blue's "Kings and Queens / Knaves and Thieves" tour), and contemplating what could be fun in the future.
