Armourbane looks bad because of what I think is going to be the most significant issue here - the "vs what?" question. The Vanquisher's role is to specifically punch out 2+ save vehicles, which it can focus on doing pretty readily due to its silly long range, and in that scenario it goes from like a 1/3 boost to a 1/2 boost. For a Hellstrike (again, threat range..) putting it into a 2+ turns it from a 1/2 boost to a 2/3 boost which is extremely significant.
