- Today we traveled to beautiful Horta, Faial, Azores from our main vacation location of Santa Cruz, Pico, Azores. We traveled by local Pico transit (by bus), then took a ferry to beautiful Horta, Faial.
We enjoyed wonderful coffee and pastries, and seeing the sights of the city. Horta is a very pretty city, indeed.
We stayed one night at the Azorin Faial Garden Hotel. The location, amenities and location was wonderful. It was very nice and we gladly recommend this lodging (this video is NOT being sponsored by the hotel, in any way).
We also had a great supper at Peter Café Sport.

Born in Teceira… but lived until 9years old in Faial. I still remember it at 44. Good times.

Thanks guys for sharing your experiences living in the Azores islands, I’m living right now in Greenville South Carolina in the united states of America and I was actually born in vila Franca do campo the first capital of the Azores in the São Miguel island and every day I thank Our mighty God for being born Portuguese azorean to have the privilege to know this amazing country (Portugal ) well in this case the islands ( Azores ) LOL.. our we keep our faith strong, our history and our traditions, I know in the states they have a way of saying God bless America well sorry my fellow Americans but I too have to say God bless the Azores 🙏❤️🇵🇹🇺🇸

Hello from British Columbia. Thank you for this video. My mom was born on Faial. She left during the last volcano eruption, I believe it was 1958.
Time to go discover where mom lived her youth. It looks a lot like areas around BC.

@@JavaWalkerWorld When you visit BC, may I suggest you not miss the Islands. A car ferry will take you to places that will take your breath away.
Used to live in the Royal York and Eglinton area of Etobicoke. Been in BC since 1991. Best decision we ever made although we miss Nobel (Parry Sound area) where we had a cottage on Georgian Bay. Was amazed at the development that has taken place along the waterfront since our truck, full of everything we owned, left Ontario for BC.
