It's not always a cut and dry decision when making a tire selection. For example, there is no cheap tire on the market that will fit the stock size of a C6 Corvette.
The Cosmo Mucho Macho ARE at least a sticky UHP for all season, it blows my MIND how many so called car enthusiasts don't know there are 3-4 levels of performance of all season and the UHP AS category, which has the PS4 A/S too, that would have been the better comparison, but even for AS the Cosmo is amazing for the money, they were stickier them the stock PS3 A/S when I tried them back in 2018.
Is it worth buying expensive tires? Well, as always, it depends. What are you going to use them for, and what kind of deals can you get for them to help take the sting out of the cost? For my Ford Panther daily driver, I've got a set of Michelin Defender T+H tires, and I got those for around $500 with a comprehensive service contract, complete with road hazard coverage. I managed to take advantage of rebates and 4th of July sale, military discount, and a bonus discount for applying for my tire store's credit card with 0% APR for half a year to help get the price low as well as paying off the tires in full within a six month period on the credit card to spread the cost out while paying no interest. I take advantage of the service contract to get free tire balancing and rotation every 5k miles in an effort to help extend the life of the tires. And, of course, I also keep the chassis of my car in good shape to further reduce unnecessary wear to the tires, such as getting an alignment done when necessary as well as investing in axle repairs when needed.
Was it taken in account that the 4s tires are well broken in and also wider. Best test would prove best after the cheaper tires were also broken in for a few weeks and if they were the same exact size and you not knowing which tire was on the car. And most definitely I'm for the cheaper tires unless it's a car that has anything over 400hp. 🤙😎
If going with cheap tires after they have worn the tread halfway, time to dump them. The Pilot Sport 4s get to under 25 percent of tread wear it is time to dump them. If you have an expensive vehicle do not take chances on a lesser performance handling tires as spend the money and don't risk an accident. Also, much depends on your driving style and the amount of time you spend on the road daily. If I lived where it is often warm, hot, and dry also don't drive very often, I would buy those $400 set of tires. But if you drive a lot and get a moderate number of stormy-rainy days, I'd buy the Pilot Sport 4s. On my new 2023 Camry XSE V6 came with poorly designed and dangerous quality Bridgestone Turanza EL400 tires (had about total of 5 miles driven on them) and I drove down the road to the Tire Shop and had Michelin CrossClimate2's put on. I dropped the dangerous Turanza EL440s off to be shredded even though new. Apparently, Toyota Co. does not care about your life.
My personal experience is that the 4S offers the most confidence in dry and wet for any summer tire. Tread life is good too. Cosmos is great for daily driver because you wont be taken off guard in the rain with some summer tires.
I had a set of Michelin Defender tires on my 2015 Hyundai Elantra....complete garbage tires...agreed picked up rocks all the time...one blew out at 12,000 miles...Michelin offer 50% so replacement tire was $72.00...had 100% Road Hazard...shop refused to cover...reversed charge on credit card and refused to pay balance on Michelins...NTB refused payment 3 months in a row...no argument from me account was zeroed out...customer satisfaction
Your test are absolutely useless. You can’t rate tires that way. And if you are not a professional driver, it more of a mental thing. Ex: if I told you that you are driving on the expensive tires, you would believe it... hence, “making you feel more traction” even though they are the the cheap tires. Also, a Camry will never need a high performance tire. The chassis and electrical brain in that car will not allow you to push it to the limits where you would be depending on a compound tire. All seasons are all seasons 🤷♂️
Good job. I suppose when your Camry arrived at the dealership they had Bridgestone Turanza EL440s or other trash non-quality tires ... one of the worst tires Bridgestone has ever made was Turanza. However, unable to find NITTO making an INVO tire for the Camry XSE V6 or (XLE, XSE, TRD) via their website.
I have PS4s on my tuned G70 3.3t (412HP wheel 450TQ) and while it’s not a super HP car, the tires are great, they hook fine and are good in the rain. Pricey but worth it if you start going higher in HP, especially if you have family in the car. Safety doesn’t have a price.
I just currently have the stock tires on my 2020 Camry XSE V6. They are doing the job. Coming up to a yr in May with 25000 kms. They are pretty decent. Hitting the roads in Ontario 🇨🇦
I always been getting Michellin's just beacuse I've always had good success but , I'm impressed by the cheaper Cosmo's for day to day use. V vs Camry video? Yes Pls

Wrong, why would you put cheap tires on a car it’s just putting your self as risk for a car crash. Plus by the time you put enough miles on the toy your going to have tire rot.

I bought two Fullrun 225 45 18 for my 2004 Golf. They are $80 next to $225 Michelin. I’ve put 6,000 miles on them without any problems.
Awesome!

For a daily car or most 4 cylinders, Nexxen tires are really good for the money and performance. I had them in my LEXUS IS300 and they were great.
Heck yeah!! Thanks for checking in.
Braking, wet performance, aquaplaning resistance, rolling resistance, wear,...
Yeah I agree. This review is kinda shallow and it's 10 minutes of talking more than science-based measurements and specs.

Would have been cool if you weighed both different sets of tyres to see if there was any variation effecting rotational mass.
We actually did. We just did not like how it came out. Good thinking! We agree.
Would the 245’s fit on the factory rim?
Yes
