Cartman being such a serious artist is one of my favorite through lines of the entire series.
Most great artists were dicks.
I loved when he told Kyle "You were supposed to say 'No Timmy, you can't have that turkey; BAD TIMMY!"
"Just the same old crap I always see when I close my eyes" is one of my favorite jokes. It's spoken like a throw away line, but it as Dash says "That explains a lot."
The weirdest thing about this episode is Cartman being positive about a school project, and leading it without any teacher influence 😂
He’s trying to not lose to the kindergarten class. He is always trying to show his group is the best (even in the latest special!)
but still twisting it to his fucked-up vision

Gotta say Dash Reacts is probably the best South Park reaction channel. Can’t think of any other ones that get the references better or do cutaways to what the show’s referring to. Keep up the good content

The fucked up thing about this: the original voice actress of this character killed herself with a bullet to the head almost exactly a year before this aired.
I’m pretty sure this was Matt and Trey’s subtle way of making light of it. They go after everyone. even the ones they loved.

About the musical stuff with Matt and Trey:
Their first movie that they made while studying at The University of Colorado at Boulder is called "Cannibal! The Musical" and actually is a proper musical.
It's not all that funny, and terribly goofy, but I liked it a LOT, and it's cool to see those guys so young.
You even get to hear some early South Park voices throughout the movie. You showed a clip of it when showing Trey Parker with that black beard.
EDIT: I unpaused the darn video and it goes right into all of that, LOLOL. Oh well, I'll leave it up anyway. 🤣

Trey certainly has had musical aspirations for a long time, including before South Park. You can look into "Cannibal! The Musical" if you want proof.
Trey Parker spent time at Berklee School of Music. He majored in Film and Japanese at University of Colorado Boulder.
Great episode as always.. please watch "Quest for Ratings" S8E11. It's similar to this one in that the boys have their own little project creating a news channel for the school.
I like it so much that you put references and cues on screen, makes the episode even more interesting!
Man, some of those references and influences you catch are pretty impressive, especially when it's subtle things like when they copy the camerawork and framing of a film they want to pay homage to. Glad I subbed the other day, nice work you do here. :)
5:24 Tim Rice actually didn’t write the lyrics for Phantom of the Opera, but I get why people might wrongly assume he did, and it’s clever of Matt and Trey to put that subtle joke in here; Rice actually did work with Andrew Lloyd Webber (“Phantom” music composer) writing the lyrics to some of his other musicals such as “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Evita,” and one of my favorites, “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
He, of course, is also well known for being the lyricist for many Disney movies, such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and the Lion King.
Of course Tim Rice didn't write it. His mom didn't give him 20 minutes to do it.
This is one of my favorites because I never even knew what Helen Keller what/is (non-American) and this whole episode was completely unhinged for me.

Hey Dash, now that you've established a friendly following on this platform on great South Park content, you should consider an effort to vlog about your life in Japan even if it's extraneous to your usual reaction content. I worded a similar post on another video but I lived in Yoyogi and I know foreigners, especially with your naturally friendly charisma, can conquer a whole different space on this platform when documenting and showing your everyday life in Japan even if you feel it's not worth much to show. It's definitely a ton to show to so many people, especially young people, now that anime and JP stuff is more popular than ever. I suspect you began this channel due to the fact you're wholesomely charismatic and I'm only saying you should take advantage of your time over there since it would mean a lot to many people who are already fans of this channel.

Gobbles is one of the few words that Timmy says clearly (though he has some under the breath ramblings which indicate he has a bigger vocabulary than you think)
Also the national western stock show takes place in Denver which is a neat little joke about Alaniciea.

I am pretty sure that actor from Les Misserables is based of Russell Crowe who was the main actor in that movie. He both matches his acting in that movie and also is basically same design of Russell Crowe from one other South Park episode.
