Man your personality and work is very uplifting. your builds don’t make me puzzled or seem too complex and they give me confidence that I can make the exact same things you do. I mean no disrespect by that I just like the simplicity in your work. I’m a novice DIYer so Great work my friend
I have been contemplating a murphy door for a long time. This video is the perfect starting for that process. I understand you are apparently renting, so you can't modify the trim but that Idea is a natural. Thank you for the ingenious door idea. I am going to use it and when I am done I will link you to the vid I will make.
Great idea to add shelves to an existing door. My door swings inward, so I can't see how the extended shelves are going to clear the door jam swinging inward?
OK, props to the YT algorithm for pointing me here, but why on earth hasn't it pointed *more* people here? This is fantastic! (As are the other videos of yours I've watched.) Thanks for making awesome content with great cat cameos.
Something I've always wanted to do and thank you for breaking my afternoon you made a wonderful video. Keep up the good work I hope you're having fun with it.
I think it is funny because removing those three pieces of trim and hiding them in the closet to reattach later is a much simpler move than painting the trim only to have to paint it again later.
Well done! This was a very simple and straightforward approach. It works surprisingly well. Something that would make it seem more like just a bookcase would be another piece alongside it, but in this case that would be difficult to pull off. As always, I'm amazed at your ingenuity and creativity. It was a bit of a wait for this video, but it was worth it!
i know you said you cant take off the trim which means you probably cant switch the way the door opens but if you could flip the door so it opens from the left side, this could work really well.
Start with something simple and small. My first one was a coffee table. Each time you make something, you’ll learn a few new things, and before long you realize there isn’t much that you can’t build :) the feeling is very freeing. Also, if something seems complex, build a rough model of it from popsicle sticks or software. Or just draw it. Hope this helps! And don’t forget to share your creation with the world :)
Can i ask if the door handle is just a single one, only on inside of door? Does it work okay not having the handle on the other side to hold the lever bar?
How many Shrek Easter eggs did you spot?

OMG how can you not use Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for this project??? Besides that good job 😁
Should have scrapped all the worthless Harry Potter books.
I love it! It might not look all that hidden but its the concept that works and now everyone knows what to do. Thanks for sharing man :)
I love it, especially because it is also functional for books etc. I want one! 😂
If I walked into that room I'd never think that the bookshelf is actually a door, great build!
Still watching but corner clamps! I didn’t know about these and I just know I need them! 😃
❤ LOVE your personality!!!
Congrats on the new setup. Great video. Thank you.
Subscribed!! You earned it!
Welcome to the channel!
Okay so I am buying materials now to build a bookshelf for my home....I may need to re-consider and do this! I love it. It's a booklovers dream
Should have made the bookcase slightly bigger so it would cover the door frame. That's what I would have done anyway...
Great work! If your landlord is anything like mine, he won't remember there being a closet there anyway.
Gonna miss the outdoor shop, but hey, the milky way's nice too :) Can't wait to see what you're gonna do in/with this place !
It just seemed so.. magical
The editing is on point 👌
So cool. You are incredibly talented

yey amir vid again
I do think that additional trim on the bookcase would help conceal it as a door. So would another closet. All you need is a mansion and a few nails!
I love how he is supportive to his girlfriend. Hope you guys stay and grow stronger. Keep up the good work, both of you.

Yay! A new video, I’ve been waiting for a new video from you. Wish the algorithm will do you well because you deserve more views!
I believe I can make this myself 😂😂 I love projects 💗😊
Brilliantly done. Also this is the 1st vid my daughter watched with me, because you're funny. Subscribed!

Yes everyone can make it not soo difficult!
I love your content so much, if I could work with wood you would've been my inspiration to do so :]
I am looking to make this for my house
what would you do hide the trim?
I need a steal door behind it that lock (panic room style) with and exit elsewhere outside the home
How do you get so good at this sorta stuff ? I'd love to get into this DIY type stuff myself working with wood and metal .. any advice ?

I will Not be building my book shelf (hidden gun cabinet) as you have, but I did enjoy the comedy, truly entertaining 😂👍.
OH NO HARRY!!! YOU MONSTER, calling my local librarian as we speak
This is awesome
I hit the subscribe button when I heard the Spongebob line haha
Can i ask if the door handle is just a single one, only on inside of door? Does it work okay not having the handle on the other side to hold the lever bar?
My only improvement would have been to use Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets 😁
What door? 😄Awesome job. New sub.
Soo cool
You did this to a house you don’t own 🙈 I’d be so mad if I was your landlord
Nice video
Noice, subbed! :)
0:56 that table saw blade gives me anxiety.
5,10
Spoiler alert, at 5:30 is when thing go quite HARRY situation to watch...
Haha I’m not a Harry Potter fan but this is so funny 😎
5’11”
Honestly, if you had someone over and didn't tell them they probably wouldn't notice. Especially after you painted the trim
How big is that door?
Also, who has the green thumb? Your plants are beautiful.
👍👍👍
Please occasionally create a more sophisticated one using a password or fingerprint or eye password
you are so smart
Door dimensions are 30x80" so height wise 6'6 and you seem 4" shorter than that, so I'd say 6'1 to 6'2" at the very least 😉
Hellow Brother!! Very good!
Saaaalve Amiiirrrr!!
6' 2.5"?
Gotta use a book that nobody is gonna wanna pick up and read or your secret room won’t be a secret
What door?🤣🤣
192
Wow you are within one cm
I was praying you wouldn't destroy a Harry Potter book from the start😅 pheww
6’-4”
But do you drive a Chevrolet movie theatre?
lol
You're 6'9" right?
Shame on me for not have so many books that i could fill the whole book case. I wil have to invend something else.
A door? What door?
Subscribe? Hmmm... Seems like a lot of commitment....
You are 5'-5" tall
My guess for your height is 6ft.
You used a Harry Potter book and you did not use the chamber of secrets ones? That's a thumbs down from me.
Nah ofc not great video. Thumbs up!
