“Creasy’s art is death… he’s about to paint his masterpiece.” Such a good line and being expertly delivered by an icon like Walken comes as no surprise.
I was about to write the exact same comment. ( great minds)
"I would not wanna be one of those La Hermon-dudes right now."
- walked in on my niece saying that to my daughter when she spent the night years ago. Can't watch this without that going through my mind every damn time😂😂😂
@@clevelandcbi even demons run when a god man goes to war .
Many great lines in this movie!
B first thing I thought when I saw their thumbnail lol
"Forgiveness is between them and God, it's my job to arrange the meeting! " This is the most badass line in cinema! 🔥
I prefer "That's what you got in your ass right now," but it's hard to work that into a normal conversation. So yeah yours is probably better. 😂
@@clevelandcbi That's a close second! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i agree! my dad (marine in vietnam) smiled and shook his head at that line when he heard it. that's about as much a reaction as i've ever seen from him over a movie.
"I wish... you had... more time." "Creasy's art is death, and he's about to paint his masterpiece."
A classic line for sure.
She's one of the most naturally gifted child actors I've ever seen - was believable in everything she did when she was younger, unlike a lot of child actors.
She's great, one of the best, but I give the best title to Haley Joel Osment.
for me, the top child actors:
Dakota Fanning (Man on Fire, I Am Sam) (and in some other not very well-known/good movies when she got older, but her performance wasn't as good as when a kid)
Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone 1+2)
Christina Ricci (The Addams Family 1+2)
Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello (Jurassic Park 1, the original, not the remakes)
Haley Joel Osment (AI Artificial Intelligence, Second Hand Lions)
Chloe Grace Moretz (Kickass 1+2) (and in The Equalizer 1, but she's much older, and still amazing)
Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit remake, 2010)
(and probably quite a few more too, but that would take a more extensive dive/checking online, lol)
@@redmoonbloodmoon3161 "Haley Joel Osment (AI Artificial Intelligence, Second Hand Lions)?" What about "The Sixth Sense"? I haven't seen one reactor that wasn't blown away by that performance.
@@rollotomassi6232 saw 6th sense one time and a long long long time ago, and of what I remember, it was good, but that's all I remember of it, laughs, I'd need to watch it again, to totally refresh myself of the movie, and see how good the kid is in it
this just reminded me of another kid, in The Ring (and The Ring 2), and the kid possibly was also in Looper, but maybe it was a different kid, as the creepy boy kids all look the same to me, lol
anyways, he did a really good job in The Ring, and also whoever was the kid in Looper, also did a good job
@@redmoonbloodmoon3161 Watch some reactions to it.
Denzel Washington and Tony Scott were one of the more unsung actor/director partnerships in cinema.
This film really sees them at their best together ❤
Imagine how many other collaborations they could've had if Tony was still alive...... It's alright thought I'm looking forward to him working with Ridley Scott again in Gladiator 2 coming next November.....Denzel will be playing a villain again man I can't wait!!!!
Agreed. But I’d say Crimson Tide beats this one. Not to say this movie wasn’t great too.
@@macdreidle1 that one was actually directed by Ridley Scott (Tony's Brother) and yes that one is a banger!!!!
@@mrplayalisticvisionnope, was still Tony.
Deja Vu is also underrated.
@@stenbuck_ I will eat my humble pie I could have sworn that was Ridley. Oh man on side note deja Vu HIGHLY UNDERRATED!!!!! That's my go to movie in my collection when I just need something to watch.
Denzel and Dakota Fanning actually just reunited for Equalizer 3. Once again he played the role of someone who was looking out for her character. It was clear from their scenes together that they had real affection for each other.
I was going to mention this before i saw your comment.
The journalist was Rachel Ticotin, who was also in Total Recall and Falling Down.
Thank you for sharing that, I must go watch both of those again now
You forgot Eminem’s daughter was in this . Whoops that’s Dakota fanning never mind 😂
"She showed him it was alright to live again. And they took that away from him. And they're going to wish they had never touched a hair on her head." Walken telling the cop about Creasy tells you everything you need to know.
Nothing more dangerous than a man with nothing to lose who's also ex cia and special forces
@@TheGoodChap and taking away the one person that cared for him and gave life back into his existence, who got him to smile again... you do not F'K with a MAN's precious little girl...
I absolutely love the mom in this movie. She 100% backed Creasy every step of the way. "You kill him or i will" about her own husband is my favorite cold/badass line in movie history.
Training Day, Out of Time, John Q, Inside Man, Flight, American Gangster, Remember the Titans, The Bone Collector, The Book of Eli are some of the best Denzel movies which I highly recommend for you guys.
Love book of Eli needs more reactions
Check out Fallen, good supernatural film
Deja Vu, probably one of the least known Denzel movies, sadly, as it's a really good time-travel sci-fi
The Taking of Pelham 123 fits there
This movie is Excellence. Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning are AMAZING together. The action parts were definitely cool, but the scenes of them together (disliking and misunderstanding each other, and then starting to finally connect) are so moving.
This is my favorite Denzel Washington film. His chemistry with Dakota Fanning is so natural and beautiful. Their relationship and love for each other feels real, and so the dark turn of events feels even more devastating. This movie brought me to tears more than once, the strongest time being their goodbye on the bridge. The Nine Inch Nails' instrumental "The Mark Has Been Made" was also used to optimal effect. "I wish ... you had ... more time!" Such a savage delivery of that line by Denzel!
Well guys I’m gonna say it again. Training Day is a must watch. Denzel at his finest.
Agreed 100 percent. Denzel as a bad guy for the only time in his carreer is a master in class acting!
He should've won the Oscar for Malcom X, or The Hurricane
@@DeeboX-vv8ji I think The Hurricane is my favorite. That part where he's in solitary? Maybe 2 minutes long? Oscar.
@@DeeboX-vv8ji 100% agreed.
TRUE STORY: This is my 14 year old daughter's ATF movie. She's been using "Im going full Denzel" whenever she's angry since she was 3. 😂😂😂
I had zero clue her big brother figured out the parental code until I heard her say someone should put a bomb up our neighbor's ass when he yelled at her puppy for barking back then.
lmbao
lol
funniest thing i ever heard. Her brother deserves a medal
@@maroda8094 Found out they watched Zombieland when she yelled *"WHERE'S THE F$CKING TWINKIES??"* at the grocery store when she was also 3. Her brothers "I'm a dead man" look got me laughing so hard I couldn't even get mad. She's 14 and still smiles every time we pass the snack cakes at any store 😂😂😂
The ending made me cry 😢😢
This Reaction even made Me cry...🥲👌
YES!!!! this is one of my favorite films ever!
"Today, You are her father"
it's hard to describe how great it is. the cinematography, the music & score, the cast & acting, the writing. its an incredible film. cheers for doing this one!
rest easy Tony Scott.
Highly underrated Denzel movie that not many people talk about, both for Denzel's performance and for the story itself, is the movie "Fallen". Also he was fantastic in "the Bone Collector".
Both great movies. But Fallen is just great for you know what part. No spoilers. lol
Time is on my side yes it is.
You can watch a movie 100 times but the first time you watch after becoming a parent, it becomes a whole new movie ❤. I love this movie and the way that it expresses the power of love!
Dakota Fanning starring with Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken and not only holding her ground but elevating the movie!
Without her stellar performance it may not have worked as well or at all!
Edit: 47:30 Christopher Walken wasn't the dad in True Romance, he was the Mafia guy who killed the dad played by Dennis Hopper!
After having being mocked by him (the sicilian blood explanation scene),
I remember Denzel gushing over her years back in interviews. He said his own wife told him he'd "Better bring his A-Game" when she found out Dakota was in it😂😂😂
his speech to the mom, about what he's gonna do is my mantra for if I ever go down the dark path, or I become the spirit of vengeance.
You could do an entire run of Denzel & Tony Scott (RIP). Deja Vu, Taking of Pelham 123 remake, and Unstoppable are their collabs you have yet to see.
This is actually a remake of Man On Fire, with Scott Glenn, though it is set in Italy.
The Scott Glenn version was a preview on half the movies my family rented around that time lol. To this day I still haven't seen it but I swear I've been wanting to for 30+ years😂😂😂
@@clevelandcbi I liked it. It's more mellow than the Denzel version, in kind of a moody artistic way.
I didn't know this was a remake. I'll have to check out the original.
People say that "remakes always suck". But really, if the remake is better, the original fades into obscurity. (Hi, John Carpenter's The Thing!)
@@Waldorf-2020 I have yet to see the original Pelham 123, so you may have a point 😅 but I do think that remakes can stand together if they both have their merits.
Yes. With Joe pesci as walkens character.
Flight is an EXTREMELY overlooked movie for denzel and Robert zemeckis
Didn't Denzel receive an oscar for flight?
Dey don't pay you enough to make miracles
Yes 💯
No it isn't. It is justifiably ignored.
@@ytatman3218 Denzel has been nominated several times including Flight but his one Oscar was for Training Day.
The song near the end is so haunting but beautiful too. Una palabra by carlos varela. When I read the translation to the lyrics I thought they were perfect for this movie
Tony Scott and Denzel Washington made (I think) 5 Movies together, but this has still got to be the BEST one of them all: it's so Powerful, so Emotional, and that Ending always makes Me cry so ugly!😭 More Favorites with Denzel: "The Bone Collector / John Q. / Deja Vu / Unstoppable!" Another Recommendation for Dakota Fanning: "Dreamer!"
You guys got to watch Fallen, The Bone Collector, Déjà Vu and American Gangster with Denzel Washington.
The Bone Collector is #2 behind Frequency on my criminally underrated movie list. Arlington Road is number 3.
Several of my favorite movies are by Tony Scott. Revenge with Kevin Costner, The Last Boy Scout with Bruce Willis,, Days of Thunder with Tom Cruise, and of course Beverly Hills Cop 2 with Eddie Murphy. Unstoppable with Denzel was also tremendous
Revenge had an awful.ending
As a single man I never cried at this movie because I was so into the revenge part of it but seeing it through both your eyes (being new born parents) actually made me emotional.
46:15 I'm so glad you mentioned this scene because the edit just missed the look on Creasy's face. He looked a little uncomfortable and humbled too but I think he realised in that moment that there was some truth in what the Madre told him. Incredible acting by denzel with just a facial expression.
Here’s a couple of Denzel hidden gems that I recommend: Ricochet, and Virtuosity. Both of which are good Denzel movies but what makes them great IMO is the villains played by John Lithgow and Russell Crowe respectively, both giving absolutely bonkers over the top performances
The most under rated Denzel movie has to be from 1998 called "Fallen".
Singing. Time is on my side
And they get more Donald Sutherland, James Gandolfini and John Goodman. Can't miss!
I think new mothers having nightmares about their kids going missing is something that happens regularly. I had those same kind of dreams when I first became a mom. This movie was so emotional. Such a good film.
Now that my kids are 19 and 14, I have nightmares they'll be returned 😂😂😂
@@clevelandcbi 🤣🤣🤣
I don't know how many times I've seen this, but every time he says, "She calls the bear 'Creasy Bear'", it almost brings me to tears. It's just an incredibly powerful moment.
I loooove this movie. It's one of Denzel's best performances. He's emotionless early on, but begins to open up. Then Peeta gets taken and that emotion is gone...until he's reunited with her. It's such a great performance and I love how coldblooded he becomes. Seeing Dakota and Denzel again in Equalizer 3 was so damn good. They have amazing chemistry.
Oh, good to see someone spoiled it already! Excellent job there!
@@eatsmylifeYT spoiled what?
@@Do0msday You're really slow in the head if you have to ask that.
@@eatsmylifeYT Are you referring to them teaming up again in Equalizer 3? Because it's not a spoiler. It's in the damn trailer. It's been mentioned numerous times in this comment section alone. So if you were spoiled by that stay off the internet and quit being a soft little snowflake. There is so much crap going on in the world and you're going to complain about something as little as that? Grow up and grow a pair. Then you have the nerve to attempt to insult me? I guess you must have nothing going on in your day if you literally took time out for that. I guess I have nothing to do except pity you.
To see Denzel in a different roll and a good thriller I recommend Fallen (1998). Critics don't always score movies well, I think its very underrated and has a cult following.
Denzel did a very underrated movie called 'Fallen'. Great story, very suspenseful.
This is one of my all time favorites. The casting, the acting, plot, story, characters... everything is just great.
My fav Denzel movie. Dakota Fanning also acted too good!
"You love me, don't you?"
"Yes I do."
Me every time: 😭😭
I haven’t even watched this yet but I came in just to give you a like. You two are my favorite reactors and this is one my favorite movies. Thanks for entertaining me through some dark times. You are a caring couple and in turn make us care about you.
Other great Denzel movies: TEH BOOK OF ELI and FALLEN. I can't wait to see you react to these!
Deja Vu (which isn't well known sadly, as it's really good), and there's others that are much more well known
Man on Fire is based on a 1980 novel of the same name by aj quinnel, that is based on true life events and a real kidnapping. The characters are based on their real life counterparts, the screenwriters took a lot of liberties on the plot and actual events. The real story did not have a good ending, not that this totally was either.
There is an alternate ending on UA-cam.
When pita runs out he hugs his bodyguard and shouts his name and the hug, woooww I shed a tear of freedom!!
Man on Fire, Philadelphia, and Deja Vu are my fav Denzel Washington movies. He's great in many others 🤗
I still have a theory that Robert McCall from The Equalizer is John Creasy, he got taken at the end of this movie but we never saw what happened to him, both characters have a background in covert special ops, terrorism experts and the backstory on McCall had him in a CIA cover story background that he had died and then was given a new anonymous life as Robert McCall. Just a theory of course...:)
I kid you not I was thinking the same thing. It just fits so perfectly.
Stupid
multiple actors in this movie appear in the equalizer 3 which just got released! true masterpiece and very throughout
As new parents this movie must be a lot different for even TBR to rewatch.
“Creasy’s art is death…and he’s about to paint his masterpiece”. Such an epic line, felt the chill all the way over here in NJ. Loved your after review of the film, very insightful of the scenes.
Inside Man is a great Denzel movie and highly under represented on youtube reactions
Yes, Inside Man is a fun watch
My FAVORITE Denzel movie. As violent as it is, its one of the best love stories ever made
40% of your video is talking about the movie after the fact, and nobody else does it like you guys. Keep up the incredible work.
I remember watching this movie in theaters at a very young age because my family wanted to watch just because it was filmed in México City and it had so many well know mexican actors
Have to watch “Fallen” with Denzel as well. Amazing and underrated movie.
"Remember the Titans" Denzel as a Football coach in the 60's, Awesome with best sound track ever!
You guys should give *Arlington Road* a chance if you haven't already seen it. Criminally underrated and forgotten thriller with amazing performances by Tim Robbins and Jeff Bridges.
Arlington Road is SO freakin' good!
YES!!! PLEASE!! Such a good movie!!
"You kill em all" I absolutely love that scene. Everyone talks about Walkin's line in the movie, but this one is so raw, from a grieving mother giving him permission to just drop bodies as he sees fit.
I first saw dakota fanning in Spielberg's tv show Taken. She was just as fantastic as she was in this and I think she was even younger. I knew I was watching someone very special. The last kid actor it brought me memories of was Jodie foster(Bugsy malone, freaky Friday, taxi driver, silence of the lambs). I hope Dakota's career goes from strength to strength and I'm waiting for the day she gives an Oscar winning lead performance like Jodie.
I got to be part of a junket for the film I Am Sam. Dakota was 7. Her first film. I was at a table with five other reporters. Dakota enters with her mom and her event handler. The event handler shows her where to sit and then she and Dakota's mother walked to the far side of the room and chatted quietly, not even looking over until the time was up.
Again, Dakota was 7. The moment she sat down, she was in charge. This was her first junket as well as mine. "Hi. I'm Dakota, and you are?" "What's your question?" She had a paragraph for every question. No hesitation. But not a word felt rehearsed. When she left, all of the other reporters, all who had been doing this for years, said she was one of the best interviews they ever had. "What is she, 35?" She was a tiny adult. A couple of years later, my boss athe time interviewed her abd her little sister Elle for the Disney English dub of My Neighbor Totoro. Again, she was a tiny adult when interviewed by herself. But when she was withbher sister, she became a child. She still had great answers, but was playing with her sister like any normal kid would. The send her sister left, the adult was back. You could see and feel the change.
Denzel's first film was 1978's Carbon Copy. A comedy. I liked it.
Nice pick... waiting for 'Fallen'😉.
14:25 - This woman here (in the red blazer) is actress, Rachel Ticotin, who co-stars with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the classic Sci-Fi movie, Total Recall (1990).
Might need a Tony Scott playlist, he has made a tone of great movies
That was an amazing and emotional reaction from Daniel and Samantha. One of the best action- thriller movies ever made in my humble opinion. Denzel Washington is my favorite actor of all time. I'm glad you guys are continuing down his rabbit hole. Have a wonderful weekend. 😃
Probably one of the most emotional movies ever, I'd be concerned about someone if I showed them this and it didn't hit them in the feels haha. Loved the reaction and look forward to more Denzel movies in future, cheers. 😃
It's such an excellent film. I love "The Equalizer" and "Man on Fire." IMO, they're Denzel's best work, though of course they barely rate on his best films list according to critics.
Samantha, your mom has great taste in movies.
This is one of my very favorite movies, I've watched it so many times. Never gets old.
✌️❤️
American Gangster is a must watch with Denzel
My fav DW movie is "dejavu." I'd love to see your reaction if you haven't seen it already... but anything with DW is great.
The mom in this Radha Mitchell is in another movie based on a video game Silent Hill. A little after Halloween but still worth checking out.
She's good in The Crazies and Pitch Black.
A classic Denzel Washington film! Another recondmendations from Denzel Washington is Ricochet and Malcolm X.
So glad you guys finally reacted to my favourite movie ...Great job
'I Am Sam' and 'Training Day'. Please put it on your list. This was a great reaction to a great film. One of Denzel's best ❤
Tony Scott was such a great filmmaker. Always did love his style.
Check out Denzel in the movie:
John Q
He fights for the life of his son.
I love this movie so much. It always tears me up. I'm ok saying that. 🙂 I also really enjoy Fallen. It's probably not that popular, but man it's a great ride for me but probably would have been a good Halloween movie. Denzel rocks the role as he does in all his movies. I think he even rocks it in Virtuosity which was also the first time I saw Russell Crowe. It's a B movie if I'm honest but totally worth it. Thanks for sharing. 🐾
Knew Sam would be a mess now that she's a mother. Real crazy that she had a recent dream about daughter being kidnapped. You guys are great!
Ah... You guys are ready for the best movie of 2023, in my opinion, Equalizer 3. 🙏🏼
My mom also loved MAN ON FIRE. I was sad she didn't get to see E3. I'm not the biggest fan of this movie because there's too much implausibly. I love Mickey Rourke tho. You guys gotta watch some of his early stuff. Marc Anthony has done some good acting roles. I wish he'd do a musical. He only had like an scene in IN THE HEIGHTS. I only watched this after the John Wick movies. I feel like they must have been "inspired by" MoF.
Wait til you start rewatching movies now that you’re parents and you realize everything hits different. Honestly makes stories that much better, just resonates on a different level
Love a Denzel series! I think Deja vu, The Pelican brief, Training day and Philadelphia are some of my favorites. And of course the epic biopic Malcolm X!! Oh and also for a different vibe: Much ado about nothing
My favorite movie of all time. This movie will break your soul.

One of Denzel's greats, grim and dark as it is, it has some seriously wholesome and heartwarming moments and I love this movie.
I can't wait for you guys reaction to "Training Day" Denzel rarely plays the villain, but when he does he does it well.
oh MAN I was just thinkin of what to say to SAM and Daniel about Training Day, something like You will be rooting for someone other than the lead actor haha. What a wild film and that line "KING KONG has got nothing on me!'"
@@michaelceraso1977His name is Daniel. Didn't know til my daughter told me. She thinks it makes their Cobra Kai reactions the best. Daniel and daughter Samantha (aka Sam) are 2 of the main characters.
Now, watch Denzel Washington again in Equalizer 3 😁.
So fitting the necklace was of St. Jude, the patron saint of lost causes.
There's an alternate ending where Denzel placed C4 in himself, and he sets it off when he comes face-to-face with the main bad guy. I honestly wish they'd used it instead to show that Pita would be safe moving forward.
That’s awful!!! Definitely glad they didn’t go with that ending.
@@cflournoy1529It's not pretty but it makes more sense. This version does nothing to show that Pita and her mother will be safe moving forward. Creasy annihilating the whole bad guy compound with a bomb does that perfectly. Jmho and respect yours.
This is one of my favorite Denzel movies! You should watch I Am Sam with Sean Penn, Michelle Pfeiffer, and an even younger DakotaFanning. Love your reactions 😊
She was awesome in Uptown Girls as well.
"Who was she to him? This little girl?"
"She showed him that it was okay to live again. And those kidnappers are going to wish they never touched a hair on that little girl's head."
And a big part of this emotional masterpiece is the score by Harry Gregson Williams and Lisa Gerrard. She did Gladiator with Hans Zimmer.
This is my favorite Denzel film. You can't go wrong with any Denzel film though!
One of my favs. There is a connection between "Man on Fire" and the Equalizer series but you will have to get to "Equalizer 3" to realize the connection, which BTW is my fav of all the Equalizer movies.
Training Day, Courage Under Fire, and Flight are great Denzel movies
Cool reaction as always Schmitt & Samantha, you both take care and have a good night

VERY HAPPY that you both watched this!! One of my favorites. :)
Dakota Fanning's career started of with a bang. Starring in movies with, Denzel Washington, Robert DeNiro and Tom Cruise.
*The journalist was played by Rachel Ticotin who was in **_Fort Apache, The Bronx_** (1981) with Paul Newman.* And in _Total Recall_ (1990) with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Been waiting for this one👍...Good pick, 2 other Denzel movies to check for 'Safe House'-2012 & 'Inside Man'-2006
This is actually a remake, but it’s insanely good. Creasy totally redeemed his life with his sacrifice.
Yes Scott Glenn (who played Stick in the Daredevil TV series) starred in the original movie!
A movie nobody talks about from Denzel is “Ricochet” very underrated early Denzel film
Training day next please. Its a must watch. Probably Denzel's best performance.
A great movie to finally come back and watch something good with you guys. One of my favorites. The ending credit song, Carlos Varela’s ‘Una Palabra,’ is so beautiful and haunting. Have missed you.
