Dakota Fanning is the most amazing child actor I had ever seen. I can’t imagine my child/niece/nephew being able to act that good at that age. She’s incredible!
This is a true story, more specifically based on actual events. The Creasy character was actually two men, one a former military man and the other CIA.
I was 14 when I first saw it. Skipped school for it. I saw the trailer and thought it was just action. I was so wrong. Till this day when I see it I still cry my eyes out.
I never watched it in theaters. I went on a cruise before they had more TV options. They used to just rotate 3 movies the entire cruise. I saw it for the first time on the ship. I literally lost track of how many times I watched it.
One of my top 3 favorite Denzel movies and I think it is to this day the best movie of his whole career. Unlike Training Day Denzel plays a straight up good guy if a little damaged. But unlike Alonzo who was a vile scumbag from the get go John Creasy is a man with so many facets going from hopeless to hopeful to vengeful and ultimately loving to a child who helped him see good again. Your prediction was spot on the original ending of the movie was Creasy had a butt explosive like he did the police chief to take out the last of the bad guys but him to die at peace knowing he saved someone felt more fitting. I wished Christopher Walken’s character had been the one to kill The Voice as Creasy would be avenge by his best friend.
definitely one of the best reactions i have watched of this movie. Chapeau to you and Jane for keeping it real and figured you would enjoy and understand this perspective as parents. Your fans know how you feel about your little girls so figured you would empathize.
GREATEST Denzel Washington movie EVER and that says a lot! Dakota Fanning's performance is legendary also. Creasy is being paid to watch out for Pita. When his gun doesn't fire on his suicide attempt & he calls Rayburn ( Christopher Walken) after that scene, Pita is now looking down watching out for Creasy like the guardian angel she becomes for him. Most powerful scene in the movie, and no one realizes it. This movie is incredible. Character shifts throughout are unprecedented. Thanks so much for playing and reviewing this classic film.
theres actually an alternate ending where they bring him to the voice and after a conversation the place blows up, implying creasy probably did have c4 up his no no hole at the end
This is one of those movies that I forget about just long enough to remember the basic plot ,and that being enough for me to say “ I don’t want to see this again” and at the same time remembering that the cast was excellent.
"The Siege" with Denzel Washington and Bruce Willis is another great one. Also Deja Vu with Denzel Washington and Paula Patton or Out of Time with Denzel Washington and Dean Cain.
I recently watched an EQUALIZER reaction and the reactor asked for other Denzel movie suggestions. I recommended MAN ON FIRE, and mused that it was strange no one had already checked it out earlier. I'm glad you guys did this one, as i enjoy your reactions. I also recommended FALLEN (1978) Denzel Washington, John Goodman, Donald Sutherland. Peace -
Jane, you're hella sharp-minded throughout a lot of these movies, I've noticed. Freaking awesome. If you haven't seen it yet, Safe House is a really good Denzel film, with Ryan Renolds also. I don't see many reactions to it on UA-cam, and I'm not really sure why. But I know you both would enjoy it. Also, I love how both of you guys are clearly very married with so many warm and fun antics, keep it up. Praying for the best for your family! Thank you for your reaction ❤ and God bless!
Great reaction to one of Denzels finest! Sure I've asked before, but would LOVE to see you guys react to 'Fallen' - a great but sadly often overlooked Denzel film from '98, my favorite & one that seldom gets reacted to given his more well known ones! ❤❤
That comment you made about Creasy on the bridge at the end You said maybe he has the detonator again up his butt. I just lost it and fell off my chair.
One observation that no one ever seems to make is that shooting that RPG from inside that room would cook everyone in the room. There is this thing called “backblast”. Physics, you know equal and opposite actions. When the rocket goes out the front, the force driving the rocket forward blows out the back. Never stand behind an RPG. Very bad for your health.
I have been on a "Man On Fire" binge. I have watched this movie for days. I love the relationship between Creasy and Pita (Denzil Washington, Dakota Fanning). I love how it started out slow and then started moving really fast. I enjoyed Marc Anthony's acting; it was well done. It is just an excellent movie.
Man on Fire is my favorite Denzel Washington film! My favorite line comes from Christopher Walken's character when he says Creasy's art is death and he's fixing to paint his masterpiece!! Classic!!❤❤
Great reaction guy’s 😊 I cry every time I watch this movie. Dakota is so good in this movie and of Denzel is great as well. Other than Creasy living I think it was the best alternative.
min 35, he said "manejo" wich means " i drive " because denzel said to him "maneja" as " start the car, or drive ", the correct spanish word is "conducir" but in mexico they use "manejar"
There was a remake of this movie in India.."Ek Ajnabee" the Bear lived in that.. and the girl grows big in the end.. this movie's ending is heartbreaking..great reaction guys . ♥️♥️♥️♥️
12:44 - probably the biggest sign of the film! He wasn't supposed to die yet! Which is further emphasised by the scene when the bullet works for Samuel!
The one song they played twice is Clair De Lune composed by Claude Debussy. My first time hearing this i was watching Oceans 11 definitely worth the reaction
There was an alternate ending where Creasy met the voice and had a bomb up his ass and blew them both up. It didn’t do well with test audiences so it didn’t make the Final Cut.
classic movie for sure! and the reason they don't get into creasy's backstory is because it's pretty obvious service did it all to him. He's pretty much just wondering around in the world looking for a way out. Pretty much dead inside. But pita showed him it's ok to live again. That's what really makes the whole movie. Good reaction you guys. Definitely one of late Scott's finest works. And you can see it in the movie too, how much of his own style is present.
“He needs a manicure!” 😭😭😭 that took me out of commissio, cuz I had said the same for decades!!!!!!! 😂🤣 #MovieJunkie #LoveYouGuys #GodBless #KeepThemReactionsComing
I never see when his friend is talking to the reporter, telling him what he is, he is the Mozart of death, that gave me chills when i saw this movie for the first time.
43:55 It is!!! I recently convinced my boyfriend to watch this movie and I told him this movie is a better version of John Wick. An amazing man and a little girl version of John Wick. And it's way more realistic and emotional ❤
Little dakota and little makenna grace give me the same vive acting!! They cry just the same and its so hard to watch even tho its acting!! My two favorite child actors for sure! I grew up watching dakota's movies
This is easily the best revenge movie of all time. Most of them suck, because the hero is way too OP, with ridiculous abilities ... but Creasy did nothing a soldier with special training couldn't have done, in real life.
Hi guys, the judicial cop said “ok, manejo” because Creasy told him to drive. It did sound like “pendejo”, which means something similar to “asshole” in spanish, but he did not say that word. Great reaction guys. Greetings from Mexico City.
1:00:47 - They actually WERE going to have Creasy kill them via rectal explosion 😂😂 "In the original [film] ending, Creasy does not die in the car on the way to The Voice's house. The two meet and chat for a while about the price of human life. Creasy continually looks down at his watch. When the timer reaches zero, Creasy smiles. Then, the entire house explodes. This implies that Creasy used the rectal bomb that he used on Fuentes earlier in the film. Tony Scott cut the scene because he felt that it did not fit in with the tone of the film."
I've loved that ending since I first heard about it (Its on UA-cam). What else guarantees Pita's safety, especially with Creasy out of the picture?? I hated this ending from the start.
The song at the end is by Lisa Gerrard the same singer for the movie Gladiator with Russel Crowe . This song on here is called " this is the end" the song from the gladiator movie is called " we are free" .also the actress for Peta is in twilight movie at the end .
in the real world its called k&r short for kidnap and ransom. In this movie the guy was talking about an insurance policy. The insurance is a k&r policy that requires you to have a bodyguard. The only reason i know any of this is because i worked for a security contract company called black water in the mid 2000s, they did k&r stuff too. great video

41:29 - one of the reasons why this movie is so underrated and so great! It puts you in within the means of having great skills to hunt and kill sadistic people and exact justice upon them! It puts you in the shoes of every parent that has ever lost a child to kidnapping or violence! 41:23 - Denzel's eyes are brilliant here! He has such disgust and hatred for what they do! "What did you do?" And when he says "I just did what they told me to do" and then he says "did you say goodbye to her?" as if to say "if you’re so innocent did you show her the least bit of compassion and say 'goodbye' to her?" The answer is 'no'...because he had no remorse...
Guys, there was one great Dors tor eho did modt of Denzel’s most popular movies . It was British Director, Tony Scott, who is brother to another famous Director, Ridley Scott. I think the alternate ending is much better, he gets all the way to the compound, speaks to the voice and inside his own ass is the C4 he used earlier, he blows up himself, the Voice and the whole compound. He takes everyone with him
“Forgiveness is between them and God. It's my job to arrange the meeting.”-Creasy
"Creasy's art is death, and he is about to paint his masterpiece". In a world of great movie lines, god damn that ranks high!
Super high
Justin was quick on the draw during the kidnapping scene 😂. You know you are lost in the movie when you draw your own finger gun to try to help Denzel
Dakota Fanning is the most amazing child actor I had ever seen. I can’t imagine my child/niece/nephew being able to act that good at that age. She’s incredible!
I prefer Hayley Joel Osment, but Dakota is for sure iconic
She was amazing in the alien mini series Taken.
She has to be nominated for a Oscar
Glad you guys finally reacted to this one. Hard not to cry. I think this one and “John Q” are two big time Denzel tear jerker films.
Deja Vu as well, for me.
It’s this and glory for me
Not a tear jerker but 'Fallen' is an all time Denzel cop movie that most haven't seen
Book of Eli.
I hated Denzell when he played the role of Alonzoo in the movie Training Day
This is such a great movie. It’s hard to hold back tears in the end. That little girl saved him and he saved her 🧸
😢
I love that the mother gave him her blessing without hesitation.
This is a true story, more specifically based on actual events. The Creasy character was actually two men, one a former military man and the other CIA.
yep and "the voice" is based on Daniel Arizmendi López he is alive on prision.
Never knew that. Thanks
was it an actual little girl that went through all of this?
@@YenellyT I think the girl, the father and lawyer's involvement, etc. were all real
I didn't know about that. Thanks!
This movie kills me! It's so well done. I was surprised that more people didn't watch this when it came out.

I love this movie. Didn't know that about the ending!
I love the range of emotions you guys have during good movies…it’s like yall are in the movie with the cast 😂
The mother is actually played by an Australian, Radha Mitchell. She was noticed by those in UK while in the Australian soap Neighbours.
definitely one of the best reactions i have watched of this movie. Chapeau to you and Jane for keeping it real and figured you would enjoy and understand this perspective as parents. Your fans know how you feel about your little girls so figured you would empathize.

There is in fact an alternate ending filmed that you can find here on UA-cam where Creasy takes out “The Voice” and himself with the rectum bomb 😂😂😂
One of Denzel's best roles. Denzel plays complicated very well.
The lil girl showed him how to love again and he was willing to die for that love like a father would do for his daughter. Classic movie
This movie was the 1st equalizer. John survived his wounds and became the Equalizer.
theres actually an alternate ending where they bring him to the voice and after a conversation the place blows up, implying creasy probably did have c4 up his no no hole at the end
"Man On Fire" absolutely rulz!!! Denzel Washington totally KILLS in this one! So glad you guys enjoyed it!
This movie was a remake. The original took place in the Italy venue.
This is a masterpiece and I could watch it over and over again, just doesn’t get old
I agree.
This is one of those movies that I forget about just long enough to remember the basic plot ,and that being enough for me to say “ I don’t want to see this again” and at the same time remembering that the cast was excellent.

I now see that there are over a half dozen other reactions to this great film. I enjoyed yours.

THANK YOU!!!! Finally, somebody suggests "Fallen" Such a LEGIT underrated movie.
@@nigeltrotter2886 "Fallen" and "Frailty" (Matthew McConaughey/Bill Paxton) are 2 absolute gems that far too few know about.
Maybe he got the detonator up his butt😂😂😂😂😂😂 and the look on his face classic. I love it.
My favorite movie of all time. R.I.P. to your emotions.
Instant smiles for you guys. Keep on keeping on. One of my favorite reactor couples.
“…anyone who opens their eyes at me.”

"I'll snatch the life right out of you."
Tony Scott is an all timer. Great director who really championed that style of film and editing.
That comment you made about Creasy on the bridge at the end You said maybe he has the detonator again up his butt. I just lost it and fell off my chair.
American Made: It's a crazy true story and Tom Cruise was awesome in it. He actually flew the planes.
No CGI
Ya'll reaction during the car interview scenes was priceless 😂
IMHO, Denzel's best. He painted a masterpiece.
one of the few films where it's about both the "what" and the "how". Perfect cast, perfect music and bittersweet ending.
You should watch everything everywhere all at once. Everytime I live life now the movie lingers in my my head. You should watch it
This movie is heartbreak hotel, but what a brilliant performance by the protagonists and a riveting plot. I will love Creasy forever. 💗🕊
Glad to see you've been watching great movies lately👍.
I love that Justin knows trigger discipline. Respect. Great reaction, too.
Denzel is one of the great Actors of America!
The Book of Eli is meaningful and action packed 🔥 another Denzel great!
One observation that no one ever seems to make is that shooting that RPG from inside that room would cook everyone in the room. There is this thing called “backblast”. Yes, that's Mark Anthony, and yes, he's a singer 😂
One of my favorite movies of all time.
Cop grabs the reporter’s ass. She yelps and is angrily offended. He laughs with delight. 😂
Those guys kidnapped the wrong little girl. They f-ed around and found out, lol.
One of my favorites. Your reactions as always are priceless.
The one liners are amazing!
Man on Fire is my favorite Denzel Washington film! My favorite line comes from Christopher Walken's character when he says Creasy's art is death and he's fixing to paint his masterpiece!! Classic!!❤❤
Great reaction guy’s 😊
I cry every time I watch this movie. Dakota is so good in this movie and of Denzel is great as well. Other than Creasy living I think it was the best alternative.
I just realized this is one of three times denzel has played a character with a drinking problem, the other two being courage under fire and flight
min 35, he said "manejo" wich means " i drive " because denzel said to him "maneja" as " start the car, or drive ", the correct spanish word is "conducir" but in mexico they use "manejar"

I forgot about it but Denzel's Spanish is legit. Not perfect but his pronunciation is really good.
This is one of those movies where no matter how strong you are, you always end up tearing up.
My boyfriend must be Superman because he didn't shed a single tear... 😅 I wanted him to feel this movie so bad. But nothing happened.
Thanks for the great reaction👍 I love this movie so much, it was my first Denzel movie❤ And I adore Dakota💖 Them together is gold💛
This is a reboot. Original was done in 1987 with Scott Glenn as the main character. And the story line was based in Italy.
"...but at the end we'll wreck-um!" 😂😂😂😂

Fun fact. In 2021 in Mexico 30,000 people went missing.
In the good old USA, on average every year 600,000 people go missing. 😢
Denial is one of the greatest American Actors in America! And the little girl is also an unbelievable actrress!

It did sound like “pendejo”, which means something similar to “asshole” in spanish, but he did not say that word.
Great reaction guys. Greetings from Mexico City.
Mexico although it can be very beautiful, can also be a very scary place. They made it seem that way because it is that way.
It is a shame
Such a beautiful human reaction from both of you. I’ve seen so many reactions. This one is my favorite by far.
Powerfull movie .
Th flash scene on the bridge with the music when he close is eyes ….
My god

She put the "little girl " magic on him !! It turns a hard man into a marshmellow every time!!

I watched this movie in theaters(with my mom) at the age of 7 im almost 30 still in my top 10 movies
in the real world its called k&r short for kidnap and ransom. In this movie the guy was talking about an insurance policy. The insurance is a k&r policy that requires you to have a bodyguard. The only reason i know any of this is because i worked for a security contract company called black water in the mid 2000s, they did k&r stuff too. great video
This and Taken are my two favorite movies of this genre.
Please, please, please, watch _Deja Vu_ ! Thank you! You guys are awesome!
"The children of men", "Green street Hooligans" should be nexts in your roster. The 2000s had pretty good movies.
I have seen Man on Fire many times, and I never would have thought of Jane's plot twist at the end: Creesy with a bomb up his butt (rectum all)! 💀☠💀☠
Funny that Jane mentions the Rectum Bomb because there is an alternate ending that was taken out of the movie where Creasy does exactly that.....puts it up there, gets taken to "the voice" and as he is talking to him he detonates it with his watch !!
He has such disgust and hatred for what they do! jumping off a bridge in A city not far from L.A.. the speculation was he had gotten a terminal medical diagnosis. His familty got a note but never talk to the media. He left a wife and two small sons. We habe never learned why he killed himself.
Funny she said that because in the alternate ending he meets el Voz and when he sits down to talk to him he stes off the detonator.
There was an alternate ending where Jane's ending happened.
funny thing the joke you made about creasy having a bomb at the end is actually apart of the alternate ending he sneaks a bomb to the voices house and blows himself and the voice up
I love Denzel and all his movies. My favourites are this and Déjà vu.
I think the alternate ending is much better, he gets all the way to the compound, speaks to the voice and inside his own ass is the C4 he used earlier, he blows up himself, the Voice and the whole compound. He takes everyone with him
Yooooo.... 😂😂😂 The ending with the butt joke was AWESOME!! "Alternate ending"?! anyone?!
I beat the bottle too, dude.I mean good for you. Keep going.
The music you're noting is a piece called CLAIR DE LUNE ( moonlight, in French) by Claude Debussy. It has been used in the scores of many movies.
This movie led directly to the Equalizer movies
This is one of my favourite Denzel movies- this, and Remember the Titans ❤
This is a great movie, I loved how much you guys appreciated the one liners.
omg i cried with justin, but omg, thats how the guy from tiger king died.......FML thats one funny lady right there
My favourite part of these reactions is how Jane blames Justin for the plot of the movie😂😂 Constaltly shouting "Justin?!" like it's his fault lmfao
