Fallout is an open world RPG set in a post apocalyptic world. You make choices that deeply impact the Gameplay and whatnot and essentially play how you want it. Metro is a survival FPS set in a post apocalyptic world, and while in the previous games there has been a sort of karma standing to affect what ending you get, the game is mostly a straight linear path (of amazing storytelling). Exodus has sandbox environments, but those are basically just levels. And it still maintains a few levels that are straight forward do this and that. So you can't really compare the two unless you're just talking in a broad sense of a similar setting, or maybe compare the two different crafting systems.
@@ROxOr920 It is different. In the new Metro you take a train to progress in the game. Once you leave an area it's gone forever. In Fallout you can back to any point in the map whenever you want. "Open World" just means side missions along the main path, "Sandbox" means the world can be accessed at anytime.
