Update 5th of may 2020 for anyone that cares or is reading this later on: I managed to buy this game on ps4 in the beggining of this year, it was amazing, got every achievement and played both dlcs some months hago, totally worth every second. And no, i wont fix the "Becouse" lmao

PastelLicuado honestly save up for it, I just finished it and it was absolutely great, specially if you’ve played both older Metros through to the end. I highly recommend it.

They follow similar story beats, but the books, as far as I know, go a different direction from the games towards the end. I paid over $100.00 for my Metro Exodus 2033: Silver Edition. And I got the cool “silver” metal case that says: “Metro Exodus Aurora 2033: Silver Edition” on it, and it came in all that packing to make you think you’d be getting all the extra figurines, dog tags and AK-47 that is supposed to come with a good collection set that costs that much. But no. And without any help I haven’t even figured out how to switch between my weapons and flashlight, gas mask and health packs. So I can’t even make it past the first level without dying from radiation poisoning. The game looks awesome in trailers, which bums me out even more, since I’ve had the game for a year now, and it just sits on my shelf.

The REAL Fallout game.
It's a linear game. Fallout was an open sandbox. They're completely different. It's like comparing the racing in Grand Turismo to Grand Theft Auto

Fallout is an open world RPG set in a post apocalyptic world. You make choices that deeply impact the Gameplay and whatnot and essentially play how you want it.
Metro is a survival FPS set in a post apocalyptic world, and while in the previous games there has been a sort of karma standing to affect what ending you get, the game is mostly a straight linear path (of amazing storytelling). Exodus has sandbox environments, but those are basically just levels. And it still maintains a few levels that are straight forward do this and that.
So you can't really compare the two unless you're just talking in a broad sense of a similar setting, or maybe compare the two different crafting systems.

@@ROxOr920 It is different. In the new Metro you take a train to progress in the game. Once you leave an area it's gone forever. In Fallout you can back to any point in the map whenever you want. "Open World" just means side missions along the main path, "Sandbox" means the world can be accessed at anytime.
