- In this video, I will demonstrate how I make my cuff bracelets. I'm using Premo clay, a Kor roller and Pan pastels to make the bracelet, which I place on an Easy Cuff Bracelet form ( TinyPandora.com ) : tinypandora.co...
I bought my Kor roller on Etsy at VanIslandJewels www.etsy.com/c...
What a lovely gift you have given! It appears that I have been blessed with weekly master classes by an extremely talented artist who generously shares the entire process of creating her beautifully and well crafted art pieces from polymer clay. She is kind enough to show many examples of her work, as well as the multiple tools and products she employs to lift the quality of her work to excellent. She teaches, she explains, she encourages, she inspires. Thank you, Patricia Roberts-Thompson, for being so generous to those of us who so look forward to see what new special magical work of art you have decided to share with us each week. I am hooked!
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much Petrina Clay- you made my day!
I second that wholeheartedly!
Excellent tutorial. Made them and really a fun thing to do. Would love to see your take on seed pods for late summer thanks!
Thanks Joyce, that's one thing I haven't done much with- although I love them
Petrina Clay, I couldn't have said it better. I absolutely agree with you 100%!!! Patricia you are wonderful! I thoroughly enjoy watching all your tutorials. I've been away from polymer clay for a couple of years and to retun and watch this wonderful and well explained video just got me so inspired. You make this crafting community awesome! You are a league of your own. Thank you so very much for sharing your creativity and beautiful talent with us viewers. May GOD Bless you always.
Oh my gosh .... Patricia, I could not agree more or expressed my feelings better than the gal below my comment. Your work, time, and dedication to teaching , giving tips, shortcuts, ideas, etc. is so selfless and refreshing. Your work is beautiful , your colors are striking,
and your way of expressing yourself and explaining is worth so much to me as a novice. I love all your tutorials and do hope to see many more. Much thanks from me and those who watch and learn but do not comment on how wonderful it is to get all your information for free. Thank you again!
Thanks so much J.C., very kind of you to say so, it's my pleasure! When I turned my attention to Polymer Clay, I learned so much from the other Artists making UA-cam videos, I just thought I'd give back some of my own way of working with clay.
That is so wonderful and inspiring. I hope that I can do the same one day in the future. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful work.
I haven't had my clay out in 4 yrs. Watching you has inspired me. You are so talented, Love the lil dragon eyes, so cute. Thank you Patricia for this great informative video.
Oh Patricia - the best and most detailed bracelet tut I have seen. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us!
Thanks so much Rosa
Love the bracelet and magnet clasp. My wish list is getting longer. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
I simply love your perspective on trial and error some videos You simply Have to follow their instructions. You have taught me so much. You have a gift and thank you for sharing...always a pleasure!💕
Wow! They are all gorgeous. Clever clasp idea. Thanks Patricia.
Thank you muggsme!
I love your idea to use magnet findings! That is genius! It sure beats fiddling with small parts.
Thanks Lila
Thanks for sharing your tips and techniques especially coloring when using regular stamps. I also like the use of magnet clasp for easy closure. Thanks for taking the time to share!!
Thanks Dorothy
I love your tutorials. Your attention to detail, your generosity in sharing sources for materials, and your beautiful work make it always a pleasure. Thank you so much.
All of your bracelets are very lovely. The one with the blue eyes reminds me a our big fat Persian cat we had when I was a child. He was snow white with big blue eyes just like those. What memories! :) Thank you, Patricia!
Thanks Rick, there is something very cat-like about the blue bracelet!
Hi Patricia, thanks for the video. I have now ordered the UV gel and the bracelet formers. Can't wait to have a go at these. Thanks for the inspiration. You are a legend!
Thank you, I think you'll be very pleased with both items! have fun!
So enjoy watching your work. The negative and positive stamps give lots of variety.
Very grateful for all the details. You are so talented. Thank you. I will have to watch this again
Amazing! You are truly talented! Those dragon bracelets are extraordinary! Thank you.
Thank you, I'm so glad you like them!
I would have made earrings with the left over design. Beautiful bracelet.
I did, thank you!
These are beautiful--what wonderful creations you've made! One suggestion when doing the videos, would be to not continually move everything, but hold a piece of jewelry still for a few seconds just long enough so we can really see it from various angles instead of constantly keeping them moving. Thanks!
You can also slow your video down to 3/4, 1/2 or 1/4 speed for a slow down of things you want to see more closely, which will help.
What a great tutorial Patricia! Thank you so much for all your work on this. I agree that the clasps and the bails are brilliant ideas! I'd call your toilet paper/paper towel thing a mandrel! I've never thought of scraping the edge - what a great idea!
Thank you! Mandrel- that's the word I was searching for! I have such a hard time with words, when my mind is on the next thing I want to say- so hard!
Aww .. really love the dragons .. they made me smile big .. thank you !! xxx
Thanks so much Susey!
You are so talented! Thank-you for being so gracious to share.
Thank you Patricia
I watched this video this morning and ran out to buy what I could to get started and subscribed! Really excited about this! Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
Thanks Shelley, most important thing about polymer clay is curing it at the right temperature, use an oven thermometer to check, and have fun!
Love, Love, Love, all your tutorials Patricia. Your tutorials are great for beginning polymer clay newbies like me. I can't wait to start making my own beads & jewelry. Thank You, Anne Werner
Thanks Anne, I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos!

Ooooh! It never occurred to me that you could put polyvarnish in the oven. THANK YOU! Your bracelets are beautiful!!
Thank you for sharing your techniques and experience! I am very inspired by your videos. I am learning so much and love all the detail you add.
Thanks so much!
Thank you very much for such great free tutorials. I've learned a lot of great tips. There is so many things I want to learn but by the time you afford the class then the supplies it can get expensive for us Canadian folks. Many of the great products have to be purchased from the USA so that adds to the costs. Just wanted you to know how helpful and how much I appreciate you taking the time to create and record these videos. I'm a textile artist who admires and wants
to work with Polymer clay so thank you for the fabulous tutorials.
Thanks Elizabeth! Polymer Clay can be very addictive- there's so much you can do with it- it mimics whatever you want it to!

Another great video, I learned so much. Thank You Patricia! 👍🏻
beautiful and great demo Thank you I did try one around a coke tin ,😣not a success xx🤗
Thanks Penny, was that recently? What went wrong, maybe I can help...
Patricia can you please show us how to make your blue dragon bracelet ? They are all great, but that one is AMAZING !
Thank you, I've been telling people that i used the same methods as I did on my Dragon Eye video, so I probably wouldn't do it as a video- but I may rethink it :)
Yes Please! I really want to make one of those. We have the Medieval Fair every spring in Norman, Oklahoma. It might be neat to make one to wear for the occasion :) Those are so cute.
Patricia Roberts-Thompson Maybe the dragon bracelets you can do as a paid video tutorial or offer some for sell instead. You give so so so many free advance info away free and I know how much it takes to make these videos. Yes it's a passion but when you come up with a unique design like the dragons, well.... those are something special and I believe we can all get behind you and pay for a tutorial for a design like that. Lots of love thanks for all you do.
I am new to polymier clay. Want to get a pasta machine to roll out. Please let me know what brand has worked for you. Christmas present time. You have convinced me to enter this wonderful skill...... so excited. Love your videos
Thank you, I have an Atlas Mercato pasta machine, with a motor ( bought separately ) I love it. The motor is not necessary, but a nice addition. My machine is a 180, normal size is 150mm. either one is good!
Wonderful video. You are so talented and bless you for sharing. I'm new to the polymer clay world, but I'm so excited about the possibilies of showing my creativity. Thanks and I am a subscriber.
Thank you so much, Ms Silverfox, it's a wonderful medium!
Gorgeous! I am a “Clay hooked Newbie”. My husband says he thinks I’ve gone mad. Lol I came across a photo of something I know is advanced but I really would like to see how it’s made. I will attach a photo and you can let me know if u can show the process of making this heart. Keep up the great work. I too appreciate the fact that u give the small details , such as jump ring sizes, clay thickness and all the other details that make a difference from looking basic to awesome professional work. Thanks again and looking forward to more videos.
Thanks Darla
Thank you again Patricia, I love the magnetic clasp and asked Ethel question before I had finished watching your video, lol! I will see what I can get here in the uk.
tjaysilver rocks
Thank you so much. These bracelets were really lovely and doable (I hope). I hadn't thought about making bracelets with polymer clay but now I'm going to give it a try.
Beautiful work! Would love to see how you did the dragon eyes or maybe an animal using the eyes like a cat. Thanks for all your good info extras.
Thanks Joyce, I'll keep it in mind
Love the tutorial..
Could you please do the dragon bracelet...
Look forward to learning more from you a great class...

Thanks Tonya, have fun!
Love watching you work. You make every thing look easy. Loved this video!!!!!
Thanks Rose, must be the practice!
Patricia. I love making cuff bracelets, but had gotten discouraged as mine 1. Didnt look professionally finished and 2. While they felt strong and flexible, they would crack when I was applying the findings! This tutorial is SO thourough, informative, and easy to follow. I have watched twice, taken notes, and now feel ready to try again. Thank You so much for sharing all your tips and resources wit us. I am a disabled Nurse trying to find a new purpose in my life and though I am “crafty”, I’m not artistic, so I need all the tips I can get. Thanks again. Terry
Hi Patricia! I just started watching videos on polymer clay... I try all different crafts! First I have to say your instruction is clear and I for one appreciate that! Thank you for the effort that you put into it! Second! I LOVE your Larimar ring!!! I am a Larimar fan!!!! Debbie

Too good 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 thanks you so much for sharing beautiful information ❤️💕
Your bracelets are beautiful and you are a great instructor!!!!! Can you please tell me where to purchase the closures you use for your bracelets? I am going to order the forms from the same place you did and give this a try. I am a beginner with polymer clay so fingers crossed mine turn out. Thank you for sharing your talents!!!!!
You do absolutely beautiful work! I am definitely going to try this 😀
Thanks Darlene, have fun!
Patricia Roberts-Thompson I just ordered the bracelet forms today and I can't wait to start 🤗
You'll love them Darlene!

Thanks Steffi, good luck with you new bracelets!
Thank you so much for this video it's really essential for me as a beginner and I love to make cuff bracelets! I learned a lot, gave me a n excellent advise how to make these beauties. Thanks!
Love you work Patricia. Everyone else, I would recommend revisiting Tiny Pandora to review how to use the graduated size bracelet forms to domb your bracelet as well.
As always I find your videos are entertaining, informative and relaxing. That is a combo to accomplish but you certainly have mastered it. I also admire how willing you are to share info including potential sources for products. All-too-often people act as if they and only they are privy to such obscure info. Thank you for that. I appreciate that you keep it real. I read that someone asked if you have a store to sell your items. I am not familiar with UA-cam policies but I have watched many videos that include pictures and prices of items they are selling. Some call it a Destash Video or even a Jewelry Sale. With your fan base it might be worthwhile to do research. I know it is time-consuming to create and keeping track of questions and requests to purchase can be daunting. If you opt to use UA-cam in lieu of Facebook as your format the least chaotic situations I have observed included the seller creating an email account (usually Gmail but any would be fine), and all questions were handled there. PayPal was the preferred payment system. I have purchased items via UA-cam sales. If sales were on more than one format (UA-cam and Facebook or any 2 options), things often became chaotic and people ended up disappointed due to not being able to purchase their choices. I am not on Facebook so I do not know how successful that outlet could be. But if you sold some of your lovely creations you could reinvest in more clay products, right?!?
Thanks Faye, great suggestions! I am the worst marketer ever, actually detest that part of it, but I realize some might like to have a bit of my work. I'll look into it :)
You are so talented and I really enjoy your tutorials. Would you please tell me the size of the magnets you use on these bracelets. I would really appreciate it. Thank you so very much.
Thanks Jeane, they are 11 x 15mm approximately
Thank you for your very helpful tutorial showing how to make such a beautiful bracelet! 💕 can I ask if the bracelet forms arrive pre shaped as a bracelet, or as flat sheets of metal that require shaping? Thanks again. 💜
I'm in love with those dragon bracelets!! :) beautiful work♥
Thank you so much!
Another fabulous tutorial - thank you so much for sharing. 😊
Thanks Jane
Very informative. Before I found this video my first cuff cracked in half. I will try again with your tips.
Thanks Melissa, I'm wishing you better success!
Just found your channel and i love it. Beginning polymer clay artist here! Thank you for all the info, motivation and tips! Love from Norway
I made one of those. Black, red and blue polymer clay, and copper micah powder. mine is completely solid by design though, and not flexible at all. I have to slide my wrist through to put it on and off.
Thank you Patricia again! I'm in the process of packing, but I may have to break out my clay :)
Your bracelets are beautiful! I love the toggle clasps! Oh...more wish list items...dragon eyes, Teresa's forms, etc etc
Thank you- it's never ending, isn't it?!
I wish you would do A tutorial of the Dragons eyes bracelets. I LOVE THOSE.
Thanks Melissa, I might some day :)
I am so happy I found your video, your work is absolutely stunning!.. I must try this.. TFS!! I subscribed to watch more of your beautiful work.
Thank you Denise, and thanks for subscribing!
Thank you Patricia, I enjoyed your video. Very pretty bracelets. Can you tell me where you get your one outie stamps?
Love all your tutorials. Love your style too. Thanks so much for your generosity. What pack of colors are the pan pastels that you used in this tute.
Thank you, I used the copper and bronze from the metallic set, and a black coarse pearl medium, that I bought separately, and also a black that came from a painting starter set. You could get a similar look with the copper and black
Fantastic! Really want to make some.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Great tutorial again, love the colour of the clay
Btw you're a wonderful teacher, I can't wait to make a bracelet, just have to find something's around the house to texture with, do you have a video on that? I had just started a collection of cutters and tools and somehow the whole box disappeared, I'm disabled and waiting for my disability to come through, so I can't afford to buy more. This is heartbreaking as I look forward to making things since I have so much spare time and can't afford ancestry anymore. I have tons of beads but I have RA and my hands won't let me bead work anymore. They say working with polymer clay is good exercise for my hands. I just got a pasta machine for Christmas and I'm so excited to use it. I also got a drama maker for my birthday and I'm so excited to use it also. Thank you for your wonderful videos I so enjoy watching them. Bless you for teaching in a way that it's easy to understand. Kim Jones
Thanks Kim, the wonderful thing about clay is that you can use almost anything to make impressions on it. Soles of shoes, shells, or you can make your own textures on scrap clay and use it after you cure it to texture raw clay. There is a nice video on UA-cam called 50 Textures or 50 Clay textures, not sure, but lots of homemade textures to try. You just have to thing a bit differently
To keep your wrist from touching the clay you can glue a leather or felt backing on the inside of the bracelet
Hola buenas tardes, me podría decir que marca de arcilla es flexible para los brazaletes, yo los hago y quedan regidos gracias
Thank you Amalia
amalia carmona, si usted hornea la arcilla para una hora, resulta mas flexible. Use la marca Premo de Sculpey, y asegure la temperatura de su horno con un termometro.
OMG the dragon bracelets!
GREAT TUTORIAL! I really enjoyed this. Do you mind if I try to attempt the dragon bracelet you made? I say attempt cause I'm not sure I can do that yet, but I'd like to try. Thanks again for the great tutorial!
Kim Huff , no problem Kim, go for it!
@@patriciaroberts-thompson thank you so much. If it turns out even semi-cute, I'll share it with you.
Patricia, this is a great tutorial, with so many helpful tips. Can you share what brand the innie and outie texture sheets are?
Thank you Kimberly, the texture mats that I showed were from Best Flexible Molds ( penny Jo ) Unfortunately they are no longer in production
Thanks for the info. I'm sorry to hear that.
So was I, they were really nice texture mats!
Loved this video! I think the mistake I was making with the Kor rollers is that I didn't apply any release on my surface. So when I tried the stamp trick it just stuck and rippled. I will give this a try!
Can I ask what color clay you started with? Love the verdigris/jade effect!
Also, last question, I've made a couple of cuffs without closures, and it keeps turning around on the wrist. Does that not happen once you add a clasp? I was considering using a an oval form to avoid that.
Oh and I'd love a video on the dragon cuff!
Thanks Krithika, for the Kor roller, have your clay on a tile or glass surface so it doesn't move when you roll over it- I had it on paper the first time I tried it, and that didn't work either. The clay colour was just a mix of blue and green scraps I had, and I added white till I liked the colour. The cuff turning around on your wrist is a matter of gravity, the gap is lighter than the rest of the cuff, so the heavier parts migrate to the bottom. A clasp helps with that if it is tight enough on the wrist The Easy Cuff forms are not perfectly round, and you can make them even more oval, and that will help with that issue too. I probably won't do a tutorial on the Dragon Cuff, as it is pretty much done the same as my Dragon Eye video
I do use a glass surface to work on, but now that I watched that bit of the video again, I think I might be using way too much pressure. So the clay sheet ripples and deforms and goes all over the place. I will go home n give it a try again!!
