A villain isn’t always seeing that they’re being vengeful. They can be seeking justice or what they perceive to be justice, which would be differing from the masses view of justice, which is why he’s an INTJ. He’s not like the others.

I think because I'm an INTJ, I see things more as they are, than what they are painted as, which gives me more empathy. Most people don't think about the animals being slaughtered for their food, but as an INTJ, it messes with my head because people just overlook billions of suffering animals.

It’s just too easy because of often a lack of understanding of Ni, and Te-Fi being more prickly, overt, and externally aloof than Ti-Fe(though personally I find Fe dom or aux villains more interesting due to the subversions and just how manipulative unhealthy Fe can be “would you kindly” or also “I have a PLAN, just have some goddamn FAITH”.) The pro’s and con’s of the intj just make it so easy to have this far-thinking villain who allegedly has this all-seeing eye level of of foresight but a crippling weakness to sensory details or quick slights of hand; archetypal Ni-dom, Se-inferior being defeated by an exxp who tactically outplayed them at the last minute. Also majorly contributed by just a lack really understanding mbti and people who type by stereotypes and immature or mistype intj’s thinking they must become the mask. Forsaking being a human being first and foremost.

Villain archetypes are also different among cultures and timelines. So, you're talking about American villain archetype, Americans, who are allergic to planning and narcissistically opposed to giving anyone else control or credit.
As an INTJ, I'm not blind to my surroundings and I know a good cutoff point, but I am more persistent about it. I think you're a bit too extreme in saying blind to everything but the goal. I often procrastinate, and often don't have a goal. I think INTJs just need to make sense of the world in an objective way, and that scares the sensitive types by denying that their emotions have values, which is really the Western villain archetype -- natural selection -- or the fact that some people are better than others and your feelings, insecurities and deficiencies can get you selected out despite how you feel about it. A world without morality, objective, chaotic, and fair. This video upset me, for sure, about how one-sided you took it.

@@rithrius5384 I don't necessarily agree, because Fi child means he holds himself up to his own moral ideal, and killing someone when it is not necessary would mean that his ideals are not good, and are possibly evil.
In terms of practicality, being a comic book hero, he has to at least try to take villains alive, otherwise Batman wouldn't be the good guy.
I don't think Batman is a perfect match for the INTJ type, but it would explain some of his deficits or quirks, such as the fact that he's an Introverted eccentric billionaire who dislikes being in large groups of people.
He prefers to be alone. He puts intimate relations on the back burner. He's highly selective about who he trusts. He has a knack for pattern recognition, and exercises a "mind over matter" approach.

Jane Austen, who was an INTJ, wrote a story about an INTJ man who everybody types as villain at the very start of the novel, because he's rich and doesn't care about the feelings of people who is not in his inner circle. It happens also that he has very loyal friends, his family and servants adore him, an ultimately he learns that love must be earned, and he fixes all he can in order to make his beloved happy. I think Austen portrayed and INTJ with more depth and layers than the stereotype of Intj=evil because she knew what she was talking about.

A word of advice from a fellow INTJ to the younger ones. Start ur self awareness journey ASAP, and keep in mind that love is a spectrum. Romantic love is a dust cloud that u walk thru, breathe in, get high off of for a while, then when u find the meaning and logic of it, u move on like closing a book or changing ur underwear. Stop feeling sorry for urself and cut that longing feeling of wanting to merge with others totally so that someone understands u (unless it's a plan to get to another step). Noone will ever truly understand u for realsies, and THAT is ur superpower. That's what makes u be able to move behind the veil. If u do find someone, make sure they work well with ur values and lifestyle and keep ur deepest thoughts to urself and God. Smart ppl who may be like u will pay attention to ur actions and wonder 'why' and gravitate towards u naturally. Study game theory and change management, apply to life. Rinse, Repeat and Improve. Focus on stability and growth. Money is a tool, Intentions can be the root of evil, depends. U are to operate like the devil without the 'evil'. Hope this helps.🤗

I think we INTJ are often portrayed as villains because we have very detached attitude that is concerned with autonomy and effectiveness first.
Heroic journeys are stories told often to teach people to respect one another and appreciate one another. Therefore the hero learns to rely on others and to let go of control, to embrace things as they are, live and let live, and taking action now. A bit of a reactive posture. The hero is spontaneous.
We have the opposite posture. We are proactive creatures that rather prevent rather than react. We rather exert control than let things go on by themselves. We rather be autonomous than depend on anyone else.
We think that good intentions and the power necessary to actually exert such intentions are equally important. While the common heroic story will tell you that power is a consequence of your intentions,we aren't like that. We rather create our own power.
That is why, I think, INTJs are often portrayed as villains.

I'm not INTJ, but rather ISFP, but I find these discussions about INTJ interesting. We share all the same functions, just in a different order, and I think that's one reason why I sometimes sympathize with and always try to understand the so-called villains of a story. To me, a bad story has villains that come across as evil without any humanity whatsoever. Often I find that my favorite character in a book or movie is the 'misunderstood villain'. HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey comes to mind. I also really liked Luv from Blade Runner 2049, Mystique from the early X-Men movies, and Emma Frost/White Queen from the X-Men comics. I like the heroic characters as well, mind you.

He gets annoyed that I don't react to things the way he expects me to like whenever a serious situation comes up, I'm too calm as if I don't care. I remember my mom telling me that I act as if I'm in my own little world just sitting on the side without care of what's happening around me. I really wanna tell them that I DO care, in fact I care more than anyone to the point that I just already thought of any possible scenarios so many times inside my head that it doesn't faze me anymore when it actually happens.

I know I’m like super late but I just wanted to write down my thoughts on this topic.
I, as a young INTJ, have found that due to our small population, less than 1% of the world population, have trouble finding role models and those with similar mindsets. Even more so for those like me who is in several minority groups.
This then snowballs into being social outcasts or getting harassed. I personally have to worry about confiding in others and then getting caught in a hate crime.
I think that living like this, where your idealistic and more optimistic outlooks keep on getting destroyed make people that fit extremely well into the villain and antihero roles very well.
Even within my own thoughts I have described myself as an antihero or just a side character. I just can’t see myself as a typical young, naive, and impressionable hero. It’s so pervasive a thought that I fine reading more ‘fun-based unrealistic fantasy’ that I used to like to be horrible because my thoughts would drift to how unrealistic and idealist it was. Even though I am a teenager around the age most ‘heroes’ would be.
I’m sorry, that was a rant and a half but yeah. My view on why INTJs seem to be good villains is that you could easily imagine what someone with such single mindedness could do if life just kept on hurting them, or something like that. Again sorry for the rant, bye.

Thinking about what leads an INTJ to become a villain or not, it seems that their Fi is important. My Fi is intensely spiritual and moral. What causes an INTJ to have a malicious Fi? I don't know the answer to this. Maybe it's both nature (inborn) plus nature (their environment). But whatever it is, the Ni/Te pursues goals influenced by Fi. It could be that for an undeveloped INTJ their Fi is so weak that it has no influence. Just yammering here, as INTJs sometimes do.

Intj are normally seen as villains because they're not really in need of people's approval or company really, they see the world inwards and with less feelings attached, they're also more likely to see the world through a machisvelian paradigm, which makes people see them as less "good"
Personally they make great villains and anti-heroes.

INTJ is villain in stories written by Fe-Ti writers. Heroes in this stories are not ESFPs. Villains, or bad people in this stories often have scar on face, wear a mask, or their face is burned, or something, to symbolize, that they don't match their emotions with hero. Or it is simply a monster. Story is centered on making friends, on which you can rely on. That is Star Wars (INTJ Palpatine, ISFP Darth Vader), Hobbit and Lord of the Rings (INTJ Smaug and Sauron). INTJ is usually trying to stop the war, which are those people (usually Fe-Ti) causing. Which is, how are stories made from INTJ perspective. They oftentimes make friends with enemies/monsters. That is How to train your dragon (INTJ Hiccup, make friends with dragons), Frozen (INTJ Elsa, makes friends with forest people, elements), Captain Marvel (INTJ Carol Danvers, makes friends with Skrull). Which probably means, that Palpatine was actually trying to bring peace, and order to the galaxy (which he did), and Sauron tried to make orcs equal to other middle-earth races.

I think a villain is literally just someone who doesn't care for fascism and dumb bullshit that has no real function. And so an intj villain usually has a similar goal to the hero, they just achieve it more effectively in a way they see as efficient. If anything, heroes now days in fiction are so personally attached to things that don't serve a larger purpose, it isn't afor the sake of "good" and the villain is usually pretty selfless... If anything, the villain is just the hero nobody likes because they hurt peoples "feelings" and the hero just happens to care about things that serve maintaining a system, regardless of weather or not it's functional. So is the "hero" really even good?... Man... The line is getting real blurry.... Say an intj has a goal to create peace above all else.... You don't see them protecting a corrupt system like in starwars or like in legend of korra... You see them destroying it... Pain from naruto is a good example of that thinking. And usually they don't plan to rule or anything after... They literally are the embodiment of self sacrificing... So who is the real hero... The selfless one who wants real physical change... Or the idealistic selfish "hero" who just so happens to be doing what you want them to even though logically it doesn't even serve the greater good long term.... Fucking feelings sensors are so annoying lol... The world could be fucking ending and you'd be too busy figuring out what fucking club makes you feel most special...

Also, since we avoid draining ourselves arguing (and impairing our vital judgment due to that mental exhaustion), it seems we are blind or just don't have feelings.

Just because INTJ's are able to sacrifice pleasure to achieve goals doesnt make us evil. It makes us victims of envy by those who think highly of themselves yet feel inferior to us due to our self discipline. Sacrificing ourselves for the betterment of ourselves means that our children and generations to come will benefit as well. Just because we dont care about how you feel or how your day is going doesnt make us evil, it makes us focused and we respect your boundaries. As far as im concerned, we do care very deeply and we will help when its truly needed because we are all humans at the end of the day. Some people are just emotionally weak and extremely unfocused in life and after many years of wasting time with those types of people, its time to buckle down and focus on those that truly matter. Which are not many lol.

I think something that terrifies people is that we INTJs tend to understand ourselves well and show remarkable self-control/self-mastery. When you don’t even know who you are, yet you meet someone who seems to know who they are, it’s intimidating. If you are not master of yourself, yet meet someone who at least appears to be, people know that that’s powerful. If you can master your closest enemy, there’s very little you cannot do. Ironically, the INTJs with the greatest self-mastery are the ones least likely to actually do harm, because they know selfishness and evil will never make them happy, rather self-sacrifice makes them happy.
The bewildering paradox is that INFJs with their awe-inspiring empathy can actually sometimes make the most heinous villains, and INTJs with their seeming self-centrism can make the most selfless heroes. It’s all in how you use the cognition you’ve got.

It almost seems as if most intj spend their life in constant judgement of their selves

Griffith is a great example of INTJ.

This was really cool, what do you think about INTP villains?
In INTJ villains the Ni seeks the goal, and everything else has to move so he can get it.
How would an INTP villain leading with Ti go about their goals, or ideas?

I imagine the INTP villain as the like Rick from Rick and Morty type of villain. Crazy contraptions, chaotic experiments, testing the very boundaries of existence - who cares if a few lives are lost in the process? For science!
      Thanks for watching!

Reason that would make an intj a villain is if they get treated wrong, they might aim to take revenge. Vindictive nature and goal oriented ----depends, if the goal is something bad. The mental energy is so powerful and so active that the mind takes over the heart.

In my opinion, hades is a clear ENTP. Ne users also have long term goals and are future oriented. That’s a Ni stereotype. Luffy is ENFP and and focused on his pirate king goal. Edward Elric ENTP wants to get his body back etc. Naruto an ENFP and trying to be hokage, Goku ENFP and his idealism to keep getting stronger as a martial artist and the ideas he comes up with in an instant in battle for new techniques to use and using attacks in completely new ways in combat. Gon ENFP being curious on why his dad left and where he is. Rapunzel ENFP and dreaming to see the floating lights and going after that goal and so on.

They laughed at me at the university 20 years ago, when I said I'd be the king of comedy. Well, nobody's laughing now! ... because the Yuk Yuk Emporium, which I now own, is only open on weekends. - INTJ
Could Ozymandias from "Watchmen" be the ultimate INTJ? The guy plans for years to bring lasting worldwide peace by framing the world's greatest superhero as the ultimate straw man villain whom the entire world unites to hate, and said true superhero realizes his only choice is to let it happen and leave Earth forever.. And except for Rorschach's journal, no one would ever know Ozymandias even did it. How INTJ is THAT.
