This song is a masterpiece.
We all have regrets when someone we love passes away. It doesn't even have to be something that we didn't agree on. Sometimes we just don't say I Love You enough.
Amen to that Karen! 🙋♂
amen! That is so true~
God bless man. you are not afraid to show emotion. i get teary everytime i listen to this. none of us say i love you enough to the people we should be saying it to
Its been 47 years since my father passed in his sleep at 57, I remember everything that day. Mum would take my brother and I to Sunday school then to the 11am service. That day dad turned up and went to church with us, after church, we went for a long sunday drive and had a picnic in a park. Then when we got home we had Roast lamb for dinner. Then only being 12 went to bed, that being the last time with Dad. As I am hitting my 60th in a few days and listerning to, The Living Years it could have been alot different if dad had lived a longer life. Maybe we could have had unspoken words that should have been sheared, I still Love my dad after all these years. But the greatest gift was looking after mum for 8 years and being with her when she passed back in 2011, and with all the words that needed to be spoken came to an end, with. I Love you mum - I Love you to Alex.

One of the best songs ever. Really tugs at the heart strings with a great message.
One of the most emotive songs, I have heard it countless times and it always hits home.
Dude, real men can show their emotions. Its actually a beautiful thing. 71 year old Vietnam vet here
I lost my dad two years ago and I wasn't at his bedside when he died and that will haunt me until the day I die. It's impossible for me to hear this song without ugly crying. 😥😥
@@johnwilliamson2207 It's coming up to 24 years since my wife died, alone.28 is too young to die.
@@johnwilliamson2207 "ugly" crying ??? What's that ???
I lost my dad two years ago today. I don't have a lot of regrets, but there's still a few things I should have said and should have done.
I just fell upon your reaction for the first time an I absolutely loved it! You did a wonderful job! This song was so big back in the 80's. I loved seeing it on MTV. It means more to me each time I watch it.
genius music......timeless.......lyrics most important.......and the message with the choir.....fantastic
Always puts a tear in my eye.
Hello coolrockndad 😃
A beautiful and worthy reaction! Thank you, sir!
Awwww u actually get it! Yes it was the 80’s. The meaning IS very emotional. Great reaction and I’m so glad u younger people r getting this experience. My love of music started in the late 60’s so I’m partial to the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Everything from Roy Clark (badass guitarist) to Black Sabbath with Ozzy as my favorite! I thought those days were gone forever and all this awesome music wouldn’t be heard again. THIS is absolutely beautiful!✌🏻😎
Makes me cry every time I hear it.
You got a soft heart my friend and that’s a good thing. Great Reaction Bro!!
Very meaningful timeless song evey lyric packs a punch of truth
Great reaction ! 👌
Paul Carrack deserves a lot more recognition than he gets for his contribution to the music industry in the UK.
Great voice.
I thought the introduction of the middle aged choir was a lovely touch too, as they are the generation who those younger ones really need to speak to and open their hearts, before those older ones pass on, leaving their survivors with so may regrets as they grow older themselves. 🙋♂
A great song that I'd like to think saved many who heard it (and listened) from years of regret.
No matter how many times I listen to this song it brings me to tears
A great song that I've always enjoyed listening to.
Just to keep the family theme going, the young boy in the video was Tom, Mike Rutherfords' eight-year-old son.
Props dude. I've listened to this song over a hundred times and it always makes me tear up. Not on a personal level as I have nothing to say to my own father that wasn't already said, but because this is just a beautiful, beautiful song. Great honest reaction!
Great reaction
I felt your pain. We all regret that one thing. God bless.
❤ a man not afraid to cry. Great song
If you don’t know yet, Mike Rutherford is the father with the son at the cemetery. (They do show him on stage once or twice)
Beautiful song!!! Every lyric i can relate to
It some ways it is reassuring to know that every generation has experienced what we have when becoming parents. Sure, generationally we dress differently, the baby raising trends are different but we mostly all try hard to give them a good life with that effort rarely recognised by our young. They critique the job their parents have done, never knowing, as they embark on parenthood themselves that the cycle will continue, no matter how hard they work and how hard they love.
Heavy song, no question
When my father passed away, I cried into my wife's arms, saying did my dad know I loved him?
If this doesn't make you feel, you may have a lizard heart.
There's a lesson for all generations here: We are not enemies because we don't agree. We're simply different...and isn't that a good thing?
P.S. I'm well past retirement age now, but I was 5th generation when I was born. Roots run deep in the south.
This song was written by Scottish musician B A Robertson who was not in the band.
Used to listen to them, back in the day.
See you did s Brazilean by the name of Gabriel Henrique, you can't do him and leave out the phenominal metal artist from Brazil, he covers Sabaton, Halloween, Rapsody of fire, Shaman, Queen, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, Journey, Nightwish, Evanescence and many more here he covers Nightwish

Going by your cap you might hear the guitar in this and be reminded like i did of a DT song that uses similar sounds. And its a inspirational song too. Lifting Shadows off a Dream.
Love this song.
My hubs loves Nightwish.
Tarja just covered Angels from Within Temptation and you guys are really going to love it!!!!
This song creepsup on you and slaps you in the face.

80's
Love the Dream Theater hat.
Good music is good music -- there shouldn't be a lane that any individual should stay in for long. Too much _life_ in other genres to box oneself into one type of music
Gotta do hurt by Johnny cash
Isn't Paul Carrack an amazing vocalist.
chronic are you going to react to linkin parks new song
If you're a new father do yourself a favor and check cats in the cradle by the late great Harry Chapin, it will definitely make you think
Please react to Indila - Dernière Danse (Clip Officiel).
DUDE.... Stop with repeating the lyrics....we heard, already. You need to talk less and listen more. Just sayin'
Make your own channel lol 😆
Actually he talks a lot less than the normal reaction page. Some stop the video 10 or more times....go bother them!!
