This vintage 1955 Fender hardtail Strat is FOR SALE, hit the links above.
We called ahead and were able to make an appointment that afternoon, and away we went.
By the time George said 1955 Strat, we were plugging in. Admittedly John was too excited to tune the damn guitar, but what an incredible experience playing this piece of history! The resonate ash body and string through hardtail design made for an incredibly resonate Strat that was a joy to play.

THAT was awesome. Not every day ya get to sit down and play a 50's Strat! Unless ur lucky enough to have one of course. There's a 62 Strat for sale at Mike and Mike's guitar shop in Washington. Seafoam green. Looks to be in outstanding condition and a pretty "cheap" in comparison to that 55 there. I know Ron Thorn is currently working on an exact replica of his 58 strat. Can't to see how that turns out. He took computer molds of every detail on it. Still work'n on it as far as I know.

I own a 60 slabboard..early strats sound great just not a fan of bakelit plastics I like a green guard

I've been looking at 50's Hardtail strats all week. Building a Warmoth hardtail with Joe Bonamassa '55 pickups. Hope it sounds as good as this!

The older you get the harder it is to find a guitar salesperson . Im not buying from someone who thinks the 1980s was a long time ago ! It was just yesterday . 1955 may as well be 1855 to these kids. But nice store Great strat.
