Hysterical how the free ones slay the premium brands.
I know Gio, that's pretty amazing haha
Thank you very much for these comparisons! I have been looking for a Dual Rectifier amp sim.
Nalex Pectifier seems to be the way to go! Sounds great and it’s price can’t be beat.
Agree with you🤟🏻😀
Another great vid, Amner! I've been using Pectifier for a bit and it's a favorite of mine.
Thanks a lot man, yeah I love the pectifier.
Really nice comparison. The Nalex and Nembrini are the ones who shine here IMO!
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for the video! Great job
I've been waiting for so long to watch this comparison performed by a pro... thank you.
Go for the JCM800 or the 5150 next time
Awesome man, thanks for the feedback, I already have a jcm800 comparison, just look it up on my channel, 13 amp sims, and yeah, I will make soon the 5150 one.
I wish the Le Pou stuff was still being updated and supported but they were still great, impressive, and quite usable back in the day.
didn`t like Lepou. Used their LE456 sometimes but TSE X30 more often. When Ignite Amps came with Emissary, that was already something in freeware domain
@@Metallllllll667 I am more of an open back twin guy myself these days. Lol and compared to the modern stuff they do seem a little silly (there sure were a lot of them) of course, what do I know? I still own an PODxt. ;-)
@@mlwsf I had Pocket POD in 2009 and almost immediately realized it sucked LMAO, but it was super easy to sell it for a good price
@@Metallllllll667 mine came in handy for other things. The Space Echo and Echo Plex emulations were good to throw on a mix. I good get the saturation I needed in the land of ADATs before all the cool kids were doing it in their DAWs and it was great for throwing on harmonica tracks. Had this thing for 20 years. Now that I am all in the box it sits in a bin with all of the stomp boxes I rarely use any more as well.
I know man, even to this day, poulin plugins are amazing, I will revisit them all soon.
BX and Nembrini are the best, I think. They were modeled by the same man anyway. Also tested the one from Amplitube 5 and didn`t like it at all
Yeah, thanks for your opinion man!
I find if you nise a custom ir then amplitube shines i actually stack the triple rectifier stacked with their vh4 one and usebthe mega og ir from mikko at ml labs and i get a nice deep chug and not so chuggy i also use the ocd pedal instead of their tube screamer and it helps fatten shit up big time. Kinda a mix of nu metal and djent on a drop c
Love the lecto it is starting to show it's age now though. Nalex is so legit and sounds way better than the payware offerings here.
Thanks for the feedback man, yeah agree with you on the lecto showing its age.
great, but what is your cab sim used for this video ?
I find that this comparisons always lacks the comparison with the real amp, I think most people are trying to find the most real VST compared with the real thing. Lots of models but very hard to find the best emulation, but very good video and work, thanks a lot.
Thanks for the feedback, i wish i had real ones here haha but I just do what I can with what i got😀
Crazy stuff but sounds good
I wonder how much closer it could be with more tweaking, but in this, Brainworx and Nalex are my favorite. ML didn't sound great here. Lecto was too scooped and fizzy.
In my amp sim shootouts, I've found the character of the mids and the flavor of the gain, especially on lower gain tones is what makes or breaks an amp sim, the rest can usually be dialed in to taste on most sims.
Thanks a lot for the feedback and info man
👍👍
You already know what I think, so we'll skip the formalities. :) The Pectifier amp from what I heard on the website not only sounds fantastic, but it's free. Though I won't be able to utilize it on my rig, I have a feeling it's going to find a permanent home in my arsenal.
It is amazing man I can tell you, i have used it for months and it sounds huge, in like 20 seconds you get your tone.
@@AmnerHunter that's what I was thinking. The tone that is. For recording I think it's going to work just fine. Sounds thick, but clear enough to be able to track more than two tracks either side and not get muddy. I like to quad the guitars on simple rhythms. The bass can sit back on those type of songs. Otherwise I like to wrap the guitar around the bass. Of course then the bass is a bit in front of the guitars.
@@michaelhankins2929 Cool approach man, I will upload soon my approach when quad tracking to have huge sound.
@@AmnerHunter Nice! I'll be waiting for that one.
Bx for me.. sounded the smoothest
Thanks for sharing your opinion
Here because I'm sick of fighting with the low end in LePou. Trying Nalex and it's got an instantly great sound, however the presence needs tamed in the mix.
Thanks for leaving your opinion.
Brainworx and Nembrini (the same programmer) are the more similar to the real thing and the real thing in this case sounds better than other interpretation. The others have a "big pixels" saturation and therefore a too grainy sound
Wow ML is trash here. Sounds more like an orange. And no stereo option? Pfft.
Nalex is solid.
Great vid as always!
I think that too, ML sounds like an orange amp
Thanks a lot man😀
More british than american yeah
ML uses a ridiculous amount of CPU for being mono. Not just here but every amp sim I've tried.
Vadim's sunnyhornia Cali is good too
Oh yeah, is that emulation of dual rectifier?
5:17 playing starts
Yes I have that time stamp as with all my videos
Brainworx and Lecto are best
Thanks for leaving your opinion.
Brainworkx & Nalex - cool. I didn't like the rest, especially Lecto is terrible
Thanks for the opinion!
No mega fuzzy? 😢
It is not available for 64 bits :(
Really?! 😮
Vadim gonna get some homework, once he gets out Siberia :D
Don't know why but the ML sounded very bad here.
It sounds fuzzy and grainy and boomier than the others, it seems to be the general opinion man
@@AmnerHunter I agree; never tried it, never will. I'll keep my BX plugin.
Pectifier is a joke. Brainworx was the best. Nembrini... meh. Melda... meh.
Pectifier is not a joke to me, but we all have out own developed taste😀
@@AmnerHunter It is really not that important. IRs and proper 'room mic' virtual techniques are way more important than a "pink noise" saturation and compressoring.
