      In my personal experience there's an improvement with the viture XR pro. I think that it's because of the position of the glasses, they have a more tight fit that helps keep the glasses in place. Also the shape of the glass where the screen is projected bas helped in my case

    Can it stream media from DLNA PC server like VLC ( I mean 3dof in AR Space Nebula, not air casting VLC 0dof) ? if not, is there any app in Nebula to use DLNA 3dof ? I ordered one and still waiting, so just curious. Thank you.

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 5 днів тому

      This is a great question. Unfortunately I don't know the answer. If that was possible it would be amazing. I personally didn't find a way to do that at the time of testing and limited the testing to 3D SBS video as it was the most popular use case at the time. The nebula app is quite limited in what it allows you to do BUT you can see certain apps from the nebula app itself in android. Some apps compatible with the Nebula app like FarePlay or into 3D that allow handling 3dof and could be a good starting point to check. I felt most apps feel quite experimental but there's some remote hope. However, I checked and didn't see any immediately obvious option to allow this. Given that you already ordered the glasses. Once you receive them, if possible, could you please let me know if any of it is possible? Many thanks 🙏

    Is small text easier to read in one vs the other?

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 5 днів тому

      Just to clarify, for both glasses it depends on your sight. There's no difference if you have 20/20 vision. If you only have myopia and a common IPD then the viture glasses offer the possibility of adjusting with the dial so small text looks clearer. For the xreal air 2 pro you would need the prescription inserts. That said, if you would like to make small text bigger you'd need to rely on the device that you have the glasses connected to. For example, if you connect either of the glasses to a computer, the screen will seem at the same distance. If you can't read small letters you could reduce the resolution of the screen to make the small letters (and everything else) look bigger. This works fine if you have myopia and a low degree or zero astigmatism and want to use the glasses without inserts

    • @AdityaAnand92
      @AdityaAnand92 2 дні тому

      @@FTACatch-up I would get the prescription inserts with either one. Good to hear theres no difference with 20/20... some reviews say screen size is bigger on the Xreal

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 2 дні тому

      @@AdityaAnand92 I'm aware that the xreal beam allowed to adjust the screen and that would make it look bigger. I believe the viture neckband allows the same. In any case, this simulates a bigger screen so the letters would relatively be bigger but you can also manage the size if connected to windows/mac os Here's an example of what I'm referring to ua-cam.com/video/gajgmxDHLMo/v-deo.htmlsi=WmoNypZL7Qre9e6e&t=104 Depending on your use case, be aware that at the time of writing the Viture xr pro has better app support for windows/mac os and android (the app actually works and you can even try and work with the glasses) Xreal air 2 pro has a more accurate colour Also, I felt the viture has a narrower/tighter fit in comparison to the xreal air 2 pro and that's why I prefer it but it depends on each person's head. Thank you for this kind comment! Hope I can post some content in the future that you might find interesting, it's an honour to get comments like this, really appreciated 🙏. I have posted quite a few videos checking some of the different features. The more I use these glasses the more I think that the best way to enjoy them is ensuring that your sight has no issues or you have the appropriate prescription inserts or if you have myopia, just up to the max supported by the viture XR pro (for example). In terms of the fit, I think for bigger heads the xreal air 2 pro MIGHT be better. Regarding the software, so far the viture seems to be doing better 🤔. I'd say that before buying keep reading and watching what people say and think what's the best use case for you. They are both quite similar with just a few differences. Thanks again, glad to have you here! 😎

    If I may give a feedback that you probably didn't ask for (but hey, it's the internet...): In regard to your channel struggling to grow even though you have a good amount of videos that do fairly well considering the size of the channel; I believe if you do same videos, but find a way to invest in image/sound quality + going a little faster and more to the point in your delivery of script, people will start subscribing a lot more. The tech youtube space is quite competitive and it is difficult to take seriously someone talking about tech when they have low-quality image/sound. At least that was my sentiment. I also just noticed that the name of the channel is a little random and won't help much. Go for something either a bit more descriptive or more memorable/fun. I'm taking the time to share this feedback because I found the video useful and overall your channel could do well and wanted to share some encouraging feedback. I hope it can be useful at all. Cheers and good luck out there ;)

      Thank you for stopping by and providing your sincere feedback. I really appreciate it 😎. I'm working on this channel during my free time and it takes me a long time before even thinking of recording as I genuinely spend time testing the products and taking notes of what things I liked (or not) while playing the role of a new owner or a power user depending on what I'm using the product for and how I felt and thought when I first had it vs how I felt as I gained more experience with it. This process could sometimes contribute to include details that I probably shouldn't spend too much time on and I normally try to filter later and present in a way that gets to the point as soon as possible but it could happen that it still does require more work. You're absolutely right, there's a better image quality and certainly editing out there. I'm constantly trying to improve and I'm on the stage of focusing on practicality for some takes as I noticed that some very aesthetic videos sometimes miss the detail in areas in which a potential new owner or a current new owner would've liked more attention. There's plenty of room for improvement and I'm slowly working on it. I've shared my email under the about section of the channel if you would like to share more feedback now or in the future. Thanks again!, glad to have you here 🙏

      @@FTACatch-up Lots of respect for the work you already put in, especially hassling on the side. I just shared what I thought might be the missing piece of the puzzle in a work that is already quite complete. They often say that the gear/quality of production doesn't make the success of content. But I do believe that in some situations, it does. You must have wondered why you regularly get videos with 1000s of views, yet little subscriber growth. I believe this missing piece of the puzzle might help. Invest in a middle-range APS-C camera with a decent fixed lens, 1 or two lights with diffusers. Get Something like the DJI wireless mic, they are great for VO to be honest, and very flexible for other situations, cost very little. And then continue doing what you've been doing, and your channel will explode I believe. Then maybe you don't have to just do it in your free time (it is obvious you have poured already a lot of work in it). All the best mate, and good luck with everything!

    Do you need an adapter to play on steam deck with the virtue glasses?

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up 20 днів тому

      not at all, it just works! There's a decky plugin that works nicely. Unfortunately it is not completely free but it's also good for the features that are free. Likewise the xreal air 2 pro works without any adapter. The catch is that while you have the glasses plugged to the steam deck you won't be able to charge the battery because there's only one usb c port. Precisely at that point is when the adapter comes in handy: to charge the steam deck while you use the glasses. It's nice to have but not a requirement. Thanks for stopping by! 😎

    • @joewell6435
      @joewell6435 8 днів тому

      An important detail with the steam deck when not using a charging adapter (at least with the original nreal air, and I'm guessing this is true with other glasses) is that when your battery gets low it will intermittently switch back to the built in display, and eventually just stay on the built in screen when it gets low enough

      @@joewell6435 thanks for sharing this. Incredibly, I have not left the battery run that low for the xreal glasses but what you said is really interesting. Any of these small glasses have IPD adjustment yet? I have returned every ar glasses in small form factor like this so far that I have tested because outside edges are a little blurry if you don't have an IPD that is close to what the eye pieces are set to. My IPD is about 69 or 70 mm.

      @FTACatch-up 21 день тому

      thanks for stopping by! 😎. Which ones have you tried so far?. I'm not aware of the viture XR pro allowing to adjust the IPD but this could possibly be done using the inserts. Regarding the xreal air 2 pro, I was asked for the IPD when I bought the prescription inserts so I believe this should be doable. Seeing the way the inserts work I think any smart glasses that have inserts that look like normal glasses should allow this. In the UK, the company called "Lensology" is the one designated by xreal and viture to create custom inserts. Maybe you can ask them if this is possible. The disadvantage is that I don't think that any of the devices mentioned in the video allow IPD adjustment

    I had the xreal air 2 pro and now i have the viture xr pro which is just way better than xreal in all aspects. The viture is way sharper and much brighter. The only thing is that viture on color has added more yellow as it is better for the eyes. They told me that there will be a switchmode for that in the next update of their spacewalker app. For productivity the spacewalker app is in a different league compared to Nebula app of xreal. Viture is sharper and the 3 screens are very steady and not as glitchy as xreal. I was not able to use nebula for programming but with viture and spacewalker I can and I love it.

I did experience blurry corners with the xreal air 2 pro but with the viture xr pro glasses I haven't had the blurry corners issues but, mind you, the experience might change from person to person. Thanks for stopping by😎 . That's a good question!. I've been using both and I do have some comments that I hope to share in a future video. The answer is not easy but there's also the beam pro, I'm wondering whether that would be better than the viture neckband. Something I found interesting is that the neckband has is its unique shape/way of working. It feels faster than the xreal beam but its fan is way noiser than the xreal beam (in its default setting). Hey there - thanks for the review! Allow us to quickly address some of your feedback in the video: While our display is capped at 4000nits, XREAL Air 2 Pro provides 500nits of perceived brightness despite having the opportunity to go beyond (which is >1000nits) due to one main reason - minimize eye fatigue. As stark contrasts between brightness of the display and the surrounding enviroment can lead to eye fatigue and discomfort, therefore, affecting your overall experience while using XREAL Air 2 Pro. XREAL Air 2 series goes through a process where we individually calibrate each pair to provide the best possible color accuracy, as displays often come in various "settings", we realize it is impossible to have a one-size-fit-all solution for color accuracy, resulting in us investing in this process to calibrate each pair for XREAL Air 2 before it leaves our factory. Let's talk if you would like to explore further into what goes into every single pair of AR glasses produced by XREAL, not just about the specs but everything else!

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up Місяць тому

      I agree that colour accuracy is not one size fits all because, among other things, there are differences in the components used when mass producing a product yet I can see xreal has done a great job with the xreal air 2 pro glasses in that regard (color accuracy). That makes the display colours pleasant to the eyes 😎, you've managed to find that right balance. In terms of the perceived brightness, I don't think people would expect full brightness in such a way that would cause fatigue. At this point in time none of the highest brightness settings from xreal air 2 pro or viture XR pro have caused me fatigue when used at its max brightness setting (for a few hours). I've felt fatigue from the temples themselves or the nosepads first rather than because of the brightness. Certainly, the brightness need to match the environment. Using the glasses at top brightness in a super dark room will indeed cause me fatigue even if not at its full power (500 nits of perceived brightness). I think the use case is a bit more about being able to see the display without any glasses' cover on a bright summer day. It doesn't need to be super bright but possibly slightly brighter on the brightest setting could satisfy those who want it to be brighter without causing fatigue. I think there's a sweetspot in which there's enough brightness to see the images even clearer without causing fatigue. I'd be keen to know a bit more of the process that goes into the production of each xreal glasses beyond just the specs. I'm also interested in knowing a bit more about Mac support for the Nebula app. Thanks again for stopping by and sharing more details of the xreal air 2 pro glasses 😎

    I'm nearsighted so the Viture win hands down for me. I bought the Xreal Air 2 Pro as my first XR glasses because they are sold on Amazon, but my nearsightedness makes everything slightly blurry. It is ok when watching a movie but I uses them to connect to my PC remotely through an iPad Mini and I can't read the text without considerable effort. I never had a problem with the Meta Quest 2/3, so I thought the XR glasses would be the same. Once I got the Viture Pro with the myopia adjustments knobs, I'm in heaven. The sound and color balance are better on the XReal Air 2 Pro, but this doesn't matter when the image isn't in focus for you. Viture also makes amazing accessories like the battery dock and Steam Deck bracket, but they also work with the XReal Air now. If you have 20/20 vision or wear contacts, I'd go with the XReal Air 2. I've not tried the Spacewalker App, so I can't comment on whether that is enough to move someone with good vision over to the Viture camp. I can't wait for these to move up to 1440p at some point in the future.

      @FTACatch-up Місяць тому

      I totally agree with you. I was mentioning in my previous xreal Vs Viture video that these are my new favourites. I also think I'm in heaven because I don't need to use the inserts that become dirty quite quickly (in my case) and also not needing them make the glasses more compact.I hope Viture can correct the colour in futur firmware upgrades because it's the main thing for me that seems slightly worse in comparison. I found the sound similar particularly after the firmware update earlier in June. I think the pinning or anchor mode in nebula is less shaky than this mode with spacewalker but spacewalker has a nice 3d video player, have you tried it?. yes, certainly. The idea of using the adapter was to be able to plug the adapter but the usb-c port of the rog ally is perfectly capable of allowing the xreal air to be used as a monitor without the beam. Remember that the beam is just to add extra features as: smooth follow, anchor and others. Using the rog ally + xreal air on its own might consume battery faster, that's the only disadvantage.

Similar to the xreal air 2 pro you can't change the perceived size without the app/device. To answer the question in advance, similar to the xreal air 2 pro it doesn't require the beam to work. There's an equivalent viture device called "neck band" . The spacewalker app (equivalent to the beam app for xreal) does provide an interesting change in the way movement is perceived. Ironically I've been looking for a head to head comparison of these 2 specific glasses and not many are out there. Today I see this video pop up. I've had the original Xreal Airs for about 9 months now and love them. I travel a lot and usually use them on long flights. I also use them occasionally for gaming. Mostly racing games in my small sim set up. The only complaint I have is they are a little heavy wearing over time. I loved the styling of the Xreals... Until I saw the side profile of the XR Pro vs the Air 2 Pro. The Vitures look much more normal from the side. As for screen quality, I haven't tried either of the new pro models. I wish I had a little more brightness on the OG Airs in some situations but 90% of the time, they are fine, especially with the cover on. The big issue for me is with the software. As an iPhone user, not having the Nebula app for iOS is annoying. The Mac app is pretty good though. I also have the Viture app for my iPhone that I use with my Airs and it's pretty cool but you don't get the head tracking using my older Airs connected directly to my phone. I think it requires a charging adapter. I would like to hear more about the image comparison. I think I may move to the XR Pros next though.

      Thanks for watching and leaving this comment. I totally agree with what you said. I've also enjoyed the xreal glasses (in my case the air 2 pros) yet also experienced even with the xreal air 2 pro that they were a bit heavy wearing than the viture XR pro over prolonged periods of time. The other catch in terms of showing the image quality is that the spacewalker app (viture's equivalent to Nebula?) doesn't have (or I haven't found) an easy way to record what I see from the glasses in the same way I can record it with the nebula app. I'm working on a setup to try to illustrate a side by side comparison more than simply recording the output as if it was a monitor. I like the quality of the Xreal Air 2 Pro but I can easily tell the viture XR pros are noticeably brighter. In terms of the image quality, it is similar but not exactly the same. I'll try to go into detail in a future video but I suspect it might be subjective, hence I'm trying to find the best way to show exactly what I see. Thanks again 😎

      @@FTACatch-up So there's a little backlog on the XR Pros so I ordered the Air 2 Pros last week. They are much better than the originals. I also did something that not many people talk about. I bout the Viture Neckband and USB C adapter to use with Xreal Glasses and it's a nice combo. I like the Spacewalker app and I can use it with my iPhone. I tried the Mac version but no luck with Xreal Glasses. Using the Air 2 Pros with the Neckband and Spacewalker limits a couple of features like 3D and head tracking related things but the app/app companions are good enough to counter that. I can use the Air 2s much longer than my older ones, they're lighter, the image is brighter and the chromatic tinting is pretty nice. The Neckband is a game-changer though. It is a little big and it gets warm but having a decently powerful, near-full Android device around your neck with no dangling cords is very nice. I have all my streaming apps plus about 110GB of storage to download or store my own content. Once you download the Play Store, you can download additional Android apps and games. Its a pretty genius product. You can use a phone app to control it or use the buttons on the device. Another great feature is the "AI" assistant built in. They advertise it as something that can help you with tips while you game but I tried it with other things like asking what actor is in the scene of a movie, what episode of a show I'm watching or more info in general about what I'm watching and its pretty cool. I want to try it with some productivity things like looking at spreadsheets and asking how to create a V Lookup or sumarize emails. Just an interesting feature.The downside is battery life. Its powering the glasses and the UI so I get about 2.5 hours. you can charge while you use it but it charges slow. I guess you cant make it too big for larger batteries and still be comfortable. Xreal is supposed to release a Beam 2 and Rokid is releasing a Station 2 thats supposed to support a full spacial experience. It's on their site. No info on the Xreal product though. Both should be a huge upgrade in terms of features, power, and capabilities. Things like this are giving AR glasses a lot more usefulness. Overall the Air 2 Pros are great but I want to try the XR Pros as well. I might order them and wait the 2 weeks then return the one I don't like.

      @@mthusiastmedia9782 Wow! just thanks for the level of detail and your update regarding the air 2 pros and the neckband. Actually I got the neckband today and I've been testing it, so far I like it for what you said plus you can also connect a usb flash drive to it, it might not look pretty but extends the amount of space you can use for storage😬 . Regarding the desktop app for Mac. Sadly, I had the same experience with my xreal air 2 pros, there's no Mac Support. I asked Xreal about it but so far no response. If you get the viture XR Pro glasses you have to try the Mac OS desktop app, I'd like to record a video describing my experience so far but I prefer taking some days while I'm keep testing the app for work or daily use. So far it's usable and stable. It even made me think: shall we get used to use this kind of things just in the same way we got used to use a mouse?. I was able to send emails and create 2 virtual screens + the macbook screen or only virtual screens + mirroring the main screen. The gap between the glasses and the virtual screen also allowed me to see the keyboard and seemed quite ok for a virtual screen. Related to the beam 2, just to share in case you didn't know already. I think the next version available has been officially named "xreal beam pro" and it went out for preorder today although it was already available earlier in Asia. It looks a bit like a mobile phone and I'm looking forward to test it if possible. I think the neckband would be the viture equivalent of it which so far seems super convenient even despite the noise of the fan (which can apparently be silenced at the price of extra heat). I'm just wondering about durability of the cable that goes from the neckband to the glasses, if it deteriorates with time, what's the repair process? could I repair it myself or would I need to send it back? or would the rest of the neckband break before the cable does? 🤔 A real pleasure to read you here, thanks for sharing😎

    • @FTACatch-up
      @FTACatch-up Місяць тому

      Thank you for your comment. Certainly, a good prescription would make the experience better but I think it is more an issue of "placement" of the prescription inserts. The viture XR Pro also allow having prescription inserts if there's the need of any specific prescription that needs to address other issues apart from myopia. The dials can help those who don't have any other condition and this seems to be the case for at least quite a few customers. I think something that could help in the future is having a prescription frame for the xreal air glasses that can cover a wider area, that would help solving the blurry corners issue in some cases. In the case I tried to illustrate here the blurry corner simply happens because the glass of the inserts (that have the prescription) just ends slightly before the screen allowing the "naked eye" to see part of the screen without being fully covered by the prescription inserts. If the whole screen is fully covered by the prescription inserts that would make the experience even better. The pricey Apple Vision pro and the viture xr pro do have something that seems to cover more area 🤔. I'd say that although the viture is my new favourite I still love my xreal air 2 pros for the reasons I mentioned in the video

So far, I'm having a better experience with the lack of blurry corners when using the XR pro but I've seen with some games a bit of a blurry corner around the bottom right. I need to test with different nose pads to check if that changes. Also I felt the screen of the viture is brighter yet the image quality is about the same. Thaaanks for your suggestion. Sadly, I already use that cable 😔. I suspect the particular issue I see it's more related to graphic card used by the legion go. Thanks for the suggestion though 🙏

    I just ordered the xreal air 2 and found out that my s23 ultra is not compatible with AR space according to the list, hence I can't install Nebula app.. will it be necessary to buy this Beam device to enhance the experience? Thanks for your response.

      sorry for taking so long!, I missed the notification for this message. It depends on how you plan using the xreal air 2. In my experience, I found ok playing some mobile games as it is (without the beam) as long as I don't play on a bus or train. Watching movies just by sharing the screen of what is being shown on your phone wasn't too bad. Actually, VLC uses the phone as a secondary screen and blacks out what is being displayed on the phone. Have you tried it? (not sure if available in all phones). In terms of the image quality for games and movies: the colours were vibrant and nice without the beam. I'd get the beam if you want to watch movies separately and don't want to use the phone. I personally find it too pricey for what it is at this point in time.

      My OP7Pro is not compatible either, but oh my God, it still works with Nebula! Just install the APK and that's it. Additionally disable Dex. How did you even get the S23 Ultra if you don't know such simple things? I've never held a Samsung in my life, but for some reason I know this.

    I have the current Nebula for Android (3.8.0) but I don't see a media player nor a file explorer to access my sbs video stored on the phone. Where are those two apps?

      Open the Nebula App, choose "AR space" once it's open navigate to the section "TV" (it's on the right side, you can see it at 3:29 (between "photos" and "amazon"). Once you tap there, click media player and you should be able to navigate. Let me know if that helps

      @@FTACatch-up yes, thank you. I found it. I just did not expect to find a general Media Player and a File Manager under "TV" :)

      @@axelsteinhage1924 neither did I! 😄 wait until you find the youtube player within TV. I struggled to make it work
