Im close to getting a few mates together and holding an intervention for your stove addiction!😂😂😂😂 I love your comparison videos Martin. Brilliant again. Super wee stove
Great review mate! Really enjoyed that one. Stove looks like a stunning and clean design. Thank you for that mate! Really appreciate the honesty. Looking forward to the next.
Great review Martin. I have fallen in love with Goshawk stoves. I have 2 of the Ver1 Era and 1 of the Ver2, along with the AZ-1 stands for each. I'm glad that you mentioned the difference in the vortex pattern as I wondered if it was just my imagination. My testing gave the same results with the Era Ver 2 having a shorter burn time, but faster boil times. This is a rock-solid burner set made for serious business. There's not much you could do to hurt it. The engineering is beautiful and the AZ-1 addition was a stroke of genius. You taught me something with the trick to hold the snuffer down for temporary fuel storage. Thanks for sharing.
@@oxxnarrdflame8865 cheers for the comment. Yeah it's a cave man thing. Me man make fire kind of feeling 🤣 So happy Goshawk are focusing their engineering in alcohol stoves. Beautifully crafted products
Nice one Martin, you can see the efficiency of the new version in the flames colour, a blue/purple flame burners hotter than yellow/red flame like your gas hob at home, and that's where the new version is more efficient than the older one, you can see the size of the blue flames difference between the two stoves in the video at 04:46 for example, you can really notice the difference between the blue flames (if all that makes sense as it does in my head!) Also, you DO have an issue with stoves, I'm always here to listen 😂😂
Would be interesting to see for how long they would both run with the simmer ring on. Are you still planing on making the packing video before a trip? would be awesome (maybe I missed it).
I’ll be interested in a boil test with the Firemaple pot. I have one and mine did not perform well with the moon lander titanium alcohol stove. A standard pot worked better.
The groves makes the alcohol to creap up higher thus get vaporized faster due the warmer area of the stove, put some alcohol in a glass and look at the inner side/rim how fluid creeps up.If it burns better it uses more fules in the same amount of time. You get the same flickering using if the wick is up too much in a lantern, i dont know what it is called. It gives out way too much fuel.
I'm reluctant to buy from Goshawk again. Bought the Swirling Flame OP-100 last year and discovered a serious safety issue, where the alcohol could overflow as the stove heated up. Contacted them, assuming a one off manufacturing error but the replacement they sent did the exact same thing. I notified them again and provided videos but they went silent. Good looking gear but not trustworthy. 😢
I bought the Era 1 - & regret it. I’ve never used it despite it costing a lot more than the competition and took forever to arrive in UK. No lid, no simmer facility, no ability to store unused fuel. It just languishes in my box of dumb purchases. I won’t waste any more money on Goshawk products.

🤣🤣 I need it. It will be something else then like scarfs or cups.. I need a fetish in my life 🤣
I'm not sure I'll ever buy an alcohol stove but I still enjoy these vids. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Good work.
Appreciate that 😊 I have issues but I love my stoves. Thanks for the comment

Appreciate that man. Thank you. It's a very cool stove. So well designed. I'm so sad but it's beautiful to look at 🤣

Very technical Martin, excellent review.
Appreciate that Leonard. Thank you. 🙌
Another nice informative video. Stoves are like hats, you can never have too many.😁
🤣 you should get that saying in a t shirt
Brilliant presentation man! Overall presentation and your professional explanation are flawless! Absolutely flawless! 👏👏
Great video Martin, love your stoves.❤❤
I have a couple of Goshawk stoves and they are very nice and cool. I might get one of those, like you I have a thing for stoves.

Good idea. I may do that. Thanks for the idea. And yes, doing a full packing video and how I got my packing down to 2 hours and no stress.

Looks like I'll be getting another stove now

O really. I actually have that stove. Haven't used it much. I'll check it out.
Getting close to pulling the trigger on ordering. Likely get hammered on import taxes etc....
That's the only downside. Very cool design thou.
I thought you would lock the snuff down under the simmer ring…
Anyhow love mine and never store fuel in it, just burn it dry 🔥
Great idea. Might try that thanks. When out camping I like to try to store fuel anyways. Just to save it for the next boil.

Nice,,but too pricey for me..maybe when i save up..🫡
I hear you. The level of work that has gone into the product is unreal I must admit.
