So glad you’re back! I made a similar transition to fill time work a few years ago. It really does change a lot of things! I was happy at home and now I’m happy in the classroom. So so glad to see you back!!!! Yeah!!! I’m doing great. Had my right knee replaced last September and that was such a blessing and a much easier recovery than I expected. I should have done it 10 years ago! Getting the exterior of my house painted in the next couple of weeks but hiring it out. I love having a two story home. Private spaces are all upstairs and public spaces down. Naturally get a lot of exercise with the stairs and now that my knee is fixed it’s not a problem going up and down all the time!
Hi Rach a little late….. my life has changed as well ……… I have a partner now…….. it’s been almost 5 years now. This year we found out in March he has cancer…😢…… so the world has focused around him since. I went to my doctor yesterday and she told me not to forget about my self care. We have been living in his house in the Forrest until the diagnosis of him not being able to work on the property anymore was given. It’s 121 acres and it is now up for sale. Anyway your channel really did inspire some of the sweetest times I had with decorating, just starting out in our first home and also making it beautiful little by little! We are in our second home now and now that I have pretty well decorated everything I am focusing more on adding charm to my home. :) would love to see any decorating or organizing video, or any kind of school routines, command center, really anything! I also have 3 kids and I’m always working towards better systems to keep things running smoother:) Also adjusting to working full time…that season is around the corner for me too as my youngest will be in school next year and I will probably want to get a full time job. I’m really nervous about how that will feel after being stay at home mom for 10 years now.

Oh Rachel, so glad to see you again! I've missed you. I liked your content before, anything similar I would like. I'm 67 now, husband 75. He's had kinda a stroke. Dementia. Not eating hardly. I'm losing him after 36 yrs! I've lost 2 sisters, a friend and our dog in less than 2yrs. Plus his stroke and my retirement. Trying to cope taking all responsibilities of household, finances, lawn car, etc. Overwhelming! I count my blessings daily for the things I have and for what God makes go right.TIME IS PRECIOUS! I rented space at an antique store to get rid of my hoard of treasures. Trying to streamline my decor to what is CONSTANT in my life. For instance, I will always have books, I love old barns, (raised in country, raised ducks, geese, chickens, dogs, cats) so those elements are throughout house. Vases, live plants. Pretty plates and creamers. Trying to rid all small knick knacks that just look too cluttered. That's what I am up to.❤

Thank you for not shutting down your channel during your hiatus this last year and a half. Every once in a while, I just need a ‘sweet, simple home’ fix! Often it’s around this time of year right before we move into autumn, and I was literally just on your channel last week watching so many of your videos! Please know that your channel has an impact, even if the algorithm tries to convince you otherwise. Your videos are so peaceful, authentic, and life-giving that they are literally stress-relieving, and we need that kind of presence on UA-cam now more than ever. 2. Along those lines, some of my favorite videos of yours have been ones that apparently the algorithm didn’t like, and you subsequently took down. Would you consider making available again your videos about Christmas planning in August, and some of your videos about back to school, cooking vintage with your family, organizing, and especially the ones where you videoed the steps behind your holiday decorating process? I know you have some of these still up, but there were several I was searching for that I couldn’t find, and those videos honestly speak to me as a fellow wife and mother more than the yard sale ones (although I do love those!). It’s always encouraging to see how other mothers serve their families and live life with them in the sweet, simple ways. I was especially impacted by your “planning for Christmas in August” video, as I wouldn’t have thought to do that myself without seeing your video. I felt like you really captured the heart behind why you would plan early, and that impacted me. 3. For new content ideas: I’d love to see videos about newly discovered or favorite children’s books, favorite or new-to-you books you’re reading, maybe a little about how you select/source books as a librarian. Also, videos about your life now: What is your process of getting everyone out the door in the mornings, how do you pack school lunches, how do you prepare the household for everyone to be gone during the week. Some of those “mundane,” everyday life videos can be helpful and interesting, like a little peak into someone else’s world and how they do things. Also, I absolutely loved a video you did (maybe during the holidays a couple of years ago?) where you did a “read with me” through a beautiful vintage book you had found with poetry and art. That was a wonderful video! I’m not one of your viewers that you would recognize because I almost never leave comments on UA-cam - today I’m making up for lost time! 😂 But I have been a faithful follower of your channel for about six years and I’m so glad that you are still active on UA-cam, even if it’s only sporadically ☺️💝 Blessings from a kindred spirit!

I really love my job and the people but the first year as a first time district employee it really was a whirlwind a lovely one but a whirlwind all the same .

Welcome back. It wasn’t long ago that I checked your channel to see if you had a new video.
So happy to see your video pop up in my feed two days ago! Just now getting a chance to sit down and view your update, and I have SO many thoughts!
1. Thank you for not shutting down your channel during your hiatus this last year and a half. Every once in a while, I just need a ‘sweet, simple home’ fix! Often it’s around this time of year right before we move into autumn, and I was literally just on your channel last week watching so many of your videos! Please know that your channel has an impact, even if the algorithm tries to convince you otherwise. Your videos are so peaceful, authentic, and life-giving that they are literally stress-relieving, and we need that kind of presence on UA-cam now more than ever.
2. Along those lines, some of my favorite videos of yours have been ones that apparently the algorithm didn’t like, and you subsequently took down. Would you consider making available again your videos about Christmas planning in August, and some of your videos about back to school, cooking vintage with your family, organizing, and especially the ones where you videoed the steps behind your holiday decorating process? I know you have some of these still up, but there were several I was searching for that I couldn’t find, and those videos honestly speak to me as a fellow wife and mother more than the yard sale ones (although I do love those!). It’s always encouraging to see how other mothers serve their families and live life with them in the sweet, simple ways. I was especially impacted by your “planning for Christmas in August” video, as I wouldn’t have thought to do that myself without seeing your video. I felt like you really captured the heart behind why you would plan early, and that impacted me.
3. For new content ideas: I’d love to see videos about newly discovered or favorite children’s books, favorite or new-to-you books you’re reading, maybe a little about how you select/source books as a librarian. Also, videos about your life now: What is your process of getting everyone out the door in the mornings, how do you pack school lunches, how do you prepare the household for everyone to be gone during the week. Some of those “mundane,” everyday life videos can be helpful and interesting, like a little peak into someone else’s world and how they do things. Also, I absolutely loved a video you did (maybe during the holidays a couple of years ago?) where you did a “read with me” through a beautiful vintage book you had found with poetry and art. That was a wonderful video!
I’m not one of your viewers that you would recognize because I almost never leave comments on UA-cam - today I’m making up for lost time! 😂 But I have been a faithful follower of your channel for about six years and I’m so glad that you are still active on UA-cam, even if it’s only sporadically ☺️💝 Blessings from a kindred spirit!
