- Arm stroke is the most important in freestyle swimming. Make sure to do an arm stroke with a high elbow position. This will make your swimming technique correct and will give you much speed.

Wow this just leveled up my swim game. Maybe 8hrs in now
How long does it take to learn how to swin? I don't even know how to float 😕 😩
I don't even know how to float. But how long does it take to learn how to swim? I'm 32
I'm sorry that you missed out on swimming in your younger years. I would join your local ymca and take some lessons. It will take a few hours to learn and many more to feel comfortable. ( don't get discouraged by the kids that swim much better than you ) that last bit is advice for me lol 😆
@fsunflower3919 join your ymca if you have one and get some lessons. Swimming has been a lofe saver for me and my mental health this winter.
@@mrbenfer5884 thank you so much. I do have one closet to me. And didn't know that they have swimming clases. Also didn't know what a ymca was. Thanks for your help.
Tysm for this! My coach won’t stop yelling at me to speed up and saying “YOU’RE GOING TO SLOW” won’t magically make me be micheal Phelps 🤦♀️
Sorry about that..he/she is not a good coach if they can't help you correct your form.
That's not a coach, or instructor then. I hope you're not still paying them to yell at you. A good coach is an instructor as well, they guide you to fix your mistakes and improve yourself. Not just lecture you and tell you you're doing bad.
@@SerPurple51 thx for the reply! Unfortunately I do kinda have to deal with it because there’s no other good teams in my area
I have been studying freestyle 1 month, and have never seen this important detail in any video.
It’s well discussed keep watching and you’ll find it. It’s not something you should be super worried about in your first month though, the two best things to start with are getting your body in a straight line at the surface and getting your head all the way down into the water. Worry about the catch after you’ve been swimming 3-6months.
The best explanation I have ever seen. Makes a lot of sense using that ball analysis
The best tip I got from this video is that you should use your back muscles to pull down. I was using my triceps. Wore out quickly in the water.
My triceps always get so tight.
Great reminder thanks ❤
I needed this 👍🏼
Best video about high elbow!
That's helpful thanks!
Helpful tip! 🌟✌🏻
❤❤❤❤These Tutorials!😊
I’m improving my freestyle by your great advice!!! Thank you so much!!!❤❤❤
You're the best coach, thanks

Good demo using the ball

You are simply the best❤
Excellent video.
I love swimming
Gracias ❤
Wow its so cool
Thank you
Thank you so much!!!?
Was swimming today and desperately tried to freestyle while splashing around in the water like an idilt. Then it just clicked, somehow my body just found the way to do it and now I'm beginning to freestyle for 12.5 meters or so without breathing. I'm really excited to learn more!
Wonderful 👍
Tq from malaysia
Thanks you
Thanks
Thx
You forgot to mention that when catching a large ball, your forearm will be turned inside, as well as performing a high elbow catch.
This!
I too hv no practice on my laft hand 😂
I've been trying but I can't bring my head up for a breath. Whenever I try my body sinks.
js try like that but think that u desperately needed to breath so you try to get the breathe
Don't bring your head up, you will sink and swallow water. Just turn your head to the side, with your whole body as you bring your arm up for a breath. Do it on the side of the pool first so you get a feel for it before you actually try.
And yes , try to breathe on just one side ... Trying to desperately breathe on both sides will make you drown
Just a side and automatically when your arm break surface, you will be able to breathe
спасибо. очень наглядно
👌👌👌
10q for good information.
Ok I just joined swim team and I can freestyle but I keep forgetting I need to breathe OUT of the water not in the water. 😂🤦♀️
exhale gradually in water and inhale out of water
Rotation is critical. Now I don't feel like an idiot rotating.
Cool vid, whats the name of the song palyed in this clip?
Using Swiss ball is a good drill
Don't look at the front rather face it down
Your speed will increase
Did this and swam faster! Just takes getting used to.
It’s only on that stroke he takes a breath. It happens a lot when someone favors one side for breathing.
Can you please teach freestyle non compatitive also
But there is something called straight arm freestyle (50m events), when should I shld swith to straight?
❤
Excellent technique
Por otro video donde instruían un campeonato renombrado, decían que se palpaba a forma de S
That’s why I l not fast .. I believe that I m super fit but my swim is slow :( I think because of this .. thank you
This is only the beginning of swimming fast there are other aspects to swimming fast
I always fail when I try to take a side breath
Impinges my shoulder
But it will increase drag i will get tired easily
Are these swimmers using the ocean walker technique?
What about keeping the arm straight instead of bending?
song name?
H boy, i need to practice...ugh..😢
It helps me lot in swimming .High elbow and proper catch technique helps me in gliding 😮
No way !
Best way is in the water
how can you tell if someone is doing this if you are looking at them above the water? seems like i need to get in to see if they are doing it
Hm hmm, Rookies
Very good mnemonic! Thanks!
I can't see the difference. Can someone explain?
So just bring your arm to the side?!
I got distracted
What happen if wrong?
That stroke is called Front Crawl, not "Freestyle"
굿
Retira el brazo frontal mucho antes que ingrese la mano de la brazada al agua. Mala técnica amigo
Who thinks his head position is wrong 👇
Now just do it faster
I don't see any difference between the two
And don't look forward
Thank you
song name?
