Haha fully agree BUT it would probably be a little boring that way because that would definitely be a day when I haven't done any shopping and it would look a little bare ;)
I keep my fridge organzied/clean similar to this. Makes it easier to see what you have and use everything up.... But then I really don't keep honey, PB, vinegar etc in there 😂
Haha..this is very much my real fridge :) I mentioned in the video that the contents inside aren't always this beautifully displayed or arranged, but this is definitely the produce that's in there after a weekly shop! :) THANKS FOR WATCHING!
I mean this is pretty much exactly the same types of stuff I keep in my fridge. Local, smaller brands, lots of fruit and veggies. I literally have the same brand of coconut milk, coconut water, yogurt, eggs, chocolate, jam, I even have those drinks and the dragonfruit smoothie packs. And these are all things I always have in my fridge. Some people shop differently and eat different things. Like the only food my mom and I have in common in our fridge is a fruit or something. She doesn’t buy any of the things I buy so she is basically scared of my fridge lol
I love Lucie's videos, however, this fridge video looks staged; bright colors, exotic fruits, no meats, no cheese, few vegetables, etc. Is this really how her usual fridge stack looks. it looks like she only eats snacks, fruits, and a few salads in a week? I enjoy her videos because they feel authentic. Or.......I could be ony PMSing :D
agreed. more than half in the fridge does not require refrigeration. almost like her fridge was empty and she just threw a bunch of random stuff from the cabinet in there to make it look full and colorful. like seriously, who refrigerates chia seeds?
These are normally the exact foods I have in my fridge, BUT, yes, this fridge is staged in terms of organization! And I call that out in the video :) My fridge is definitely NOT always this beautiful looking LOL!!!
Good for you. Cheese is life for me :) Bonus question: How much do all these fruits cost in America? It would break my bank account if I bought all these things in Slovenia.
Why are people having such a fit with the amount of produce she has on her fridge? I love seeing people stock up on fruits and veggies. Are people really that narrow-minded that they feel bad if others eat better and fresher food than they do? I also put tomatoes and flour in my fridge since it's humid and ants are.everywhere.
Valerie Sutton sorry this is late but my fridge looks similar and I can finish it. If u don’t go out everyday it’s actually really easy. She also has a fiancé who helps her
haha I saw that too and asked her. It must be a Mom thing. I have 2 adult children myself. :) 22 and 24yrs old. I love your daughter's cheery personality she always puts me in the best moods. :) oh and my daughter calls me "Mama" too.
hey Lucie can you or R29 make a video about ethical/slow/sustainable fashion I think this could be a great topic and content that you or R29 could tackle In a great way!!
Is it just me who hates how tomatoes taste out of the fridge?! They're nice and crisp when refrigerated, and they have a weird taste when warmer. I know you "should" keep them on the counter but I hate the taste so... Is it not just personal preference?! I get not keeping bananas in there because they just go black so fast. But tomatoes stay fresh in the fridge anyway so?
Being gluten free almost everything has to be kept cold/ frozen like breads and other processed foods and keeping flour in the fridge helps keep it better and I usually have to keep mine in another bag because the packaging is usually flimsy and is easy to break and for the price of BMR you're paying like 8-10 bucks a bag for maybe a pound. I pay on average 8-10 for King arthurs GF blend and a loaf of bread like schar is about 6 dollars but for udis and other brands I have paid 10 dollars for ONE loaf.
No pizza in the fridge??! With your highlighter test. I use to spend money on coffee every day! And because soy milk cost extra, my coffee would end up at $4.00! That’s over $1000 a year!! At the start of this year I gave up buying coffee and started to make my own.
I used to feel the way you do about necessary bills and expenses like laundry and electricity. A couple years ago I read Jen Sincero's You Are a Badass at Making Money, and it made me change the way I viewed rent and bills. Now I am so grateful and excited to pay those because I think about the beautiful and safe place I live with my wife and dog. I think about the electricity used to power my laptop so I can work, and TV so I can unwind, lights so I can read, etc. Every single this is money, and that is wonderful. So my bills give me joy, and I always have money to pay them. Ps, loved seeing what was in your fridge. It inspired me to eat more produce and organize my fridge.
Honestly, Money Diaries and Jen Sincero changed how I viewed money. I am a huge fan of refinery29 and Money Diaries. I feel like I have a healthier view of money as a result. Love you guys!!
@@lspbeautea4791 I hope you love it! I was so jaded and beaten down and discouraged when I read her books. And I hate self-help stuff because it seems so cheesy. These books are different.
I don’t think that’s an unusual amount of produce. That’s what a normal fridge should look like if you’ve just stocked up and you get your five a day (or if you’re vegan/vegetarian).
that's just what a healthy fridge looks like and the baking soda is great to have in a fridge- it takes away the smell of all the different foods and leftovers that go in and out of the fridge.
I like how there's less plastic than I expected to see, but I still think we should reduce all plastic packaging to a minimum. A tip: onions shouldn't be kept in the fridge unless they're chopped, keep them in a basket in a dark place; they'll last longer this also applies to potatoes
I lost my job(downsized) 2 months ago. Since then I'm a spendaholic! Nothing like getting bad news and burying yourself deeper in debt and then trying to eat your way out! So the fridge and the closets are stocked. Bank account...not so much!
I'm not a vegetarian or vegan but I don't generally prepare meat at home. I order chicken and fish at restaurants occasionally but I don't usually cook it myself! I've tried to scale back on my meat intake!
I’m in college so that means I have coffee creamer, coke, a water filter, string cheese, lunchables, and strangely enough a random jar of jelly that I don’t remember buying. I love your vids! Your personality makes me so happy, and I love your outfits!
I saw a few items that i have in my fridge as well, but I would recommend looking up a list of fruit and veggies that can stay at room temperature. Beautiful video as always Lucie 💕👏
I think it would be adorable to see you and Michael go to a shelter for animals and pick out a dog or a cat together. Not sure if you can have pets or even want them in your apartment but I’m sure playing with cute animals together would be a good bonding experience!!! Love your videos Lucie!!! 💕🍏
Lucie! Love this! Love all the organics! You need to look into the dirty dozen to help pick the items that are most worth getting organic and which ones are less so! This way you balance both health and wallet!
I noticed there wasn’t any meat or fish in your fridge or tortillas, mustard or mayonnaise. So I’m guessing you don’t eat sandwiches or cook with meat that often? I thought your fridge shows that you must eat a lot of salads & smoothies.
I definitely wanted to specify which products I bought organic vs. not. I've been doing a ton of research about produce and how important it is to buy organic when it comes to pesticides and chemicals - so YES, wanted to be sure to call that out :) :) Thanks for watching!!
Where did you learn about keeping your fruits in glass jars? I am scouring the web now for more info. From what I've read so far, it sounds like it makes the fruits last longer. Just wondered if that's why you do it, too.
It's not really that expensive aside form buying organic and the exotic fruit. The weeks where I don't eat meat are actually my cheaper grocery bill. I also shop sales too which helps. The difference is like $30 vs >$50 for one person for one week.
baking soda keeps your drive fresh just don't let it get wet at all not even esenstil oils it gets moldy and gross Also yous smaller amounts and change it out monthly
Hey Lucie I love love looovvvve your vlogs and videos. Next time I want to see your book collections video and what are you reading right now. And which books you think everyone should have in their collection ❤❤❤
Fridge temp helps. I've come to learn that the arugula and Kale from Trader Joe's last longer in my fruit drawer not at the top or center of my fridge. Certain vegetables last longer so I stick to string beans, broccoli. But I'm amazed at how many bell peppers she had I can only buy 2 at a time they always rot easily for me.
^ I definitely try to eat all of it before it goes bad. The condiments and stuff on the left last for a few months generally, and the produce stays good for about a week and half - that's about 20 breakfasts, lunches and dinners! I def use it all (and sometimes even need to buy more!) :)
I'd happily eat that much produce in a week by myself. I bulk roast veggies and make soups etc if I feel anything is going to go off and I freeze the pre cooked ones if I feel I've bought too much. Nothing ever gets wasted.
What does she make with all that produce before it goes moldy? A lot of the fruit would not last more than a couple of days and stay nice. Is half of it just for juicing?
The takeaway for me from this video is to better utilize my mason jars! I buy strawberries and blueberries, etc for smoothies, but they frequently go bad before I get the chance to actually make the smoothie. How much longer would you say fresh produce lasts in a sealed mason jar compared to their original packing? Thanks and keep the videos coming!
Doing a grocery shop after work and excited to do it now. All that fresh fruit and veg has made me want to eat healthy. Defo trying the pickle tip haha
Hi Lucy! I'm from the Philippines. I always watch your videos everytime it notifies me. I look forward on seeing your wedding video with the love of your life Michael. Hope you notice this. Have a good day!
I wonder how you get your protein? From eggs and smoothies and nut butters only? Do you have a lot of beans and rice and quinoa in the cupboards? Genuinely curious!
Ok, so when she said that you should highlight the things that don’t make you happy , I seriously just thought “well, paying rent does not make me happy, so I should really stop paying it” 😂😂😂😂 #lol #jk

tomatoes will get mealy in the fridge, they're better on the counter. Onions should be left at room temp too. The fridge isn't good for flour either.
