Personally it was very worth it, playing the dlc felt like playing the game again for the first time because i went summonless it felt like a whole new adventure
Compared to pretty much every other video game SotE is easily worth $40. It's only in comparison to the $60 ER price that the $40 price point looks expensive. That's the only correct answer.

Who, that played the base game, would question the price tag? The base game was $60 and discovering Liurnia after beating Stormveil Castle was honestly overwhelming. Game has $120 worth of content. Who would question $40 for the DLC?

To me a game should be worth $1/1hr of gameplay. It’s a 40hr campaign so that’s a fair price. The real crime is Black Myth Wukon is also a 40hr game but is $100CAD. For me that game is currently overpriced considering its playtime.
But what about games that tell a great story like resident evil, if that’s what you’re into on the shorter side? Or online games then being hundreds of hours. This games worth it for sure!
@@Mvndrew $100CAD is $80USD which is still over my$1/1hr rule. If a game provides more playtime than that it's just a good value game. I bought all the resident evil games on a steam sale, Village and RE7 were bundles for $30, RE 1-4 were bundled for $50 for all of them so it was $80 for 6 games, still less than the price of Wukong. I'm sure the story is great but imo it doesn't have enough content to justify the current price. I'm patient enough to wait for steam sales anyway, I just got Hogwarts legacy for $20 on sale so I'll just play that for now.

it is 100% worth it after i killed radahn i didnt want it to be over so i spent a couple of days roaming around killing the remaining bosses. my only complaint is that there isnt anything after radahn lmao
That’s my thing is there should have been more mandatory bosses before Radhan , or else most people will beat him and then move on and miss out on the others. Bayle should have been mandatory at least!

The reason phantom liberty was £30 is because the game was that bad when it came out it was sort of an apology in my opinion that should have been free for existing players but shadow of the erdtree was definitely worth the money it's basically elden ring 1.5
I forget that Cyberpunk was that bad because I got it on Xbox series so I didn’t really have any problems, but I can agree with how bad that launch was for some people that DLC being free would have gone a long way in good will

Idk how some of yall crank 40 hours out of this DLC? i finished the DLC and explored all areas within around 13 hours. Granted i didnt do all the quests (because i cant be bothered to travel to every bonfire and talk to every NPC after every boss i killed), but theres like at max 20 maybe 25 hours of content? Like if u die for 4 straight hours to Radahn u cant consider that as content. Really dont know how yall take 40 hours for that DLC tbh
