I bought a full HD Screen. So guys if you have sound problems dont forget to put the original fiber opticcables into the "new 40Pin block", put aux Mode on, turn on System Sound of the screen and enjoy sound. I recomand to isolate the aux cable against magnetic fields. The cable and the sound are not good. But i can watch tv and use new Navigation System. So its okay. I also can use the old comand System and change fast by typing in the "disc" Button. Sorry for.my english. Press like
This is the most in depth video I have seen. He puts a little section about how it took him an hour to get it to fit because of the cables. I cannot stress that enough! I had to unplug and reroute everything twice because of the cables. Everything is very tight so make sure that you don’t have any cables going in front of anything. It all must be able to push to the rear so pay close attention to where he feeds the wires through and hopefully you can avoid our mistakes. I wish he would have routed the AUX and USB to the armrest as I am attempting that and it is becoming a bigger project than I planned. Next thing is the audio. He selects 0-0 in the video for the aux vertical and horizontal. Because different people have different accessories, the unit is asking where the aux button is on the original stereo. Because I have a Navi, Nav is the first option on my stereo and Audio is the second. So for horizontal I put 2. Then I have AM, FM, Sat, BT, etc etc all the way down to aux which is the 10th item in the list, so I have 10 as my vertical. Note that if you use the USB for the audio connection you can select the location of your USB button instead of the AUX. What this does is when I’m using the original stereo for satellite radio and I switch to watch a movie on Hulu while I’m driving (just kidding, maybe... but for some reason I don’t see Netflix in the Google Play Store so Hulu it is...) the system will automatically switch to AUX (or USB) in order to play the video. My AUX is in the armrest so again would like to see how that is routed cleanly. Another audio issue is I’m getting a hiss when I use it. I bought an isolater so hopefully that will fix the issue. If not I’ll just use the Bluetooth option shown in another video. Also mine did not come with a speaker for the navigation but I am just using the one that came with the car and it works fine. I also placed my GPS in the same place as in this video and it had trouble identifying where I’m at when using google maps. It always thinks I’m to the left or right and goes crazy. I’m not sure if it’s a cheap gps or if it’s due to not having line of sight with the sky. I might pull it out and test it, but for now I’ll just use the original nav. I have the original camera that came with the car. Only issue is if I start to back up before the screen is fully loaded it stretches the camera to fit the whole screen and looks very odd. Another thing is the NTG Setup, I have the Android 8.1 with the rounded corners and HD screen (the one in this video is the square version with the 480 pixel). It took me 2 days (yes I’m an idiot) to figure out that you need to swipe the Android menu to the left in order to get to the NTG Setup. I see a lot of people asking why you would take the original screen and replace it with this. I was in the same boat until someone decided to use cleaner on the original screen which messed up the anti-glare coating and made my screen look awful. This was half the price of a new OEM screen so I went for it and it is 1000x better. It doesn’t feel cheap at all and the resolution is a million times better. It also looks standard if you compare it to the screens used in the C class and the 2014-2018 E class. Everyone that gets in comments on how nice it looks and compares it to a Tesla. I did this on a 2013 E550 Mercedes Benz W212

Depends. If you go to a professional shop, they might charge you around 100-150 for labour. If you've got a friend that's handy with car electronics and an afternoon to kill, then free.
I attempted this install in my w204 c300 and spent about 5 hours just on getting the radio back in but could not seem to get it so I gave up and will be trying again soon. So stressful

Hello , please tell me why every time I start the engine, the navigation restarts from the beginning and takes 30-40 seconds to load. Is there a sleep mode setting? if the ignition is on, the navigation is on and I start the engine, I experience the same thing. I don't mean only the first start in the morning. but also if I sit in the car and restart the engine. the battery is in very good condition and properly charged. The car is E classe 2014 NTG 4.5. Is there any module or montage to avoid these inconveniences or any update for Android? I have Android 11 instaled . Thank you !

It's pretty amazing. I have one problem though, it's rebooting everytime I start the engine. I already replaced electrolyt capacitor 3300uF (inside little black box) wothout any luck. Now I am thinking about adding bigger one, did you have similiar problem? THX
@@000219 So, battery was getting weaker and weaker over time, switching to rear camera was delayed(when going to R), sometimes switching transmission to D would be ignored as Engine Control Unit was not happy with battery performance. Finally car was not able to start from time to time. I wasn't aware of this since it's my fathers car. After putting new battery (250 euros) all problems went away, NRG mode show on screen immediately, rear camera is not delayed, screen is not rebooting etc. If you have 9 year old battery installed and experience similar problems, consider replacing it.

If your car doesn't have an AUX option on the original head unit, how can I activate it when the android device is installed ? I currently have no sound and I think it's because there is no aux option. I have gone to the hidden menu but it won't activate. Please let me know if you can

У меня к Вам один вопрос: на 19:11 Вы держите кабель с черным разьемом, другой конец подсоединяете к Ami кабелю и показываете на консоль всередине. Тут я не понял: там я могу подключить Ami port, а к чему или как подключается этот маленький черный разьем с первого кабеля? Это получается весь кабель надо вести через всю консоль к голове радио? Так он очень короткий… не понимаю как подсоединять

У меня в подлокотнике тоже нету. Достаточно только в меню. А если в меню тоже нету. Нужно активировать через монитор, я это показываю в видео. У меня тоже нет аух а
I wish that portion with the row of silver buttons on the main unit were separate. Can you take just that part off (the part where the hazard lights and eco button etc sit). Mine rattles right by that portion and I can not figure out why. It's so annoying.

в широком разъеме крайний желтый провод имею в виду, там постоянные 12В. Выходящий из разъема желтый провод с надписью +12V тоже под постоянным напряжением (не пропадает даже после длительного простоя закрытого авто). Но тем не менее, каждый раз когда магнитола включается - время сбивается и долго грузится система

I got this head unit on my W212. The one problem I'm running into is that when the screen is on the radio from the command unit and I switch over to use an app, like UA-cam, the screen auto switches to media interface and not the aux port. I already checked and activated the aux port. Do you happen to know how to get the screen to auto switch to the aux port?
@@francissantiago6077 you have to go to settings from the android unit itself, then go to General, then hold down the one option you see there for like 10 seconds and you'll see a hidden option pop up. Which will be the middle option. You go in there and do 3 things... Make sure you've: 1) activate your AUX port 2) set the AUX line column (horizontal) to match where your audio column is on your command unit 3) set up AUX vertical to match how many lines down, on your command unit, to reach the AUX option. Usually it will be 9 for preface lift W204 and 10 for post facelift. If you still having issue, go to youtube, search for Raymond Urias channel and look for the "tricks and tips" for the android screen. In one of those videos he goes over what I have described here and shows you how.
Has your new screen started rattling? Mine did because I didn't install the 2 screws which meant to hold the vertical movements of the screen. I'd since installed the 2 screws and the rattling had stopped.
Hey Everyone, So About a month ago I got an Installed the 12.3" Android Screen From DMP Design, I did the Full Install myself and everything went smooth and fine at first except I heard a buzzing noise in the background, so I bought a Ground Loop Isolator off Amazon and that took care of my problem completely, but here about 1 week I've noticed that when listening to my Samsung S10+ , or My iPhone 7Plus, using my audio, Spotify, or Pandora the quality of the Audio seems kinda distorted and I cannot figure out why for the life of me!!! I haven't changed any settings at all. I don't have Bass up crazy, I can put my ear down to door speaker and up to tweeter and its deff distorted badly. but call me crazy, it seems to come and go sometimes I travel it seems fine, but most times it sounds bad to my ears, Others may not notice as badly as I do, But I can hear clear as day. It's only when I use android auto , or apple auto connect. if I connect the mobile hotspot and use my data from phone and connect Spotify, pandora, my music, It's perfect sound, so I'm so confused. Does anyone out here have any ideas as to why or what could be causing this problem??? Thanks, I haven't checked the factory settings on the Screen settings yet. when I switch back to factory radio and CD audio it sounds Fine too. only Android Auto/Apple Auto, which is how I normally connect mostly it seems easiest to do. 2014 W204 C300

I have one problem though, it's rebooting everytime I start the engine. I already replaced electrolyt capacitor 3300uF (inside little black box) wothout any luck. Now I am thinking about adding bigger one, did you have similiar problem? THX

@@000219 So, battery was getting weaker and weaker over time, switching to rear camera was delayed(when going to R), sometimes switching transmission to D would be ignored as Engine Control Unit was not happy with battery performance. Finally car was not able to start from time to time. I wasn't aware of this since it's my fathers car. After putting new battery (250 euros) all problems went away, NRG mode show on screen immediately, rear camera is not delayed, screen is not rebooting etc. If you have 9 year old battery installed and experience similar problems, consider replacing it.

Always the Mercedes Service guys used to say that we cannot do these kind of alterations to the car....The excuse they used to say is that the warranty will get lost. Is this true?? У меня к Вам один вопрос: на 19:11 Вы держите кабель с черным разьемом, другой конец подсоединяете к Ami кабелю и показываете на консоль всередине. Тут я не понял: там я могу подключить Ami port, а к чему или как подключается этот маленький черный разьем с первого кабеля? Это получается весь кабель надо вести через всю консоль к голове радио? Так он очень короткий… не понимаю как подсоединять

До 7:50 не видно его… потом у Вас вставка и с 09:20 этот разьем откуда-то появился.

У меня в подлокотнике тоже нету. Достаточно только в меню. А если в меню тоже нету. Нужно активировать через монитор, я это показываю в видео. У меня тоже нет аух а
Через инженерное меню активировать AUX я так понимаю, но при этом в настройках дисплея выставить AUX как аудио выход. Я всё правильно понимаю ?

I wish that portion with the row of silver buttons on the main unit were separate. Can you take just that part off (the part where the hazard lights and eco button etc sit). Mine rattles right by that portion and I can not figure out why. It's so annoying.

Здравствуйте! У вас не сбивается время после длительного выключения? (после нескольких минут) Питание на желтом проводе постоянное, даже если в замке нет ключа и машина закрыта
в широком разъеме крайний желтый провод имею в виду, там постоянные 12В. Выходящий из разъема желтый провод с надписью +12V тоже под постоянным напряжением (не пропадает даже после длительного простоя закрытого авто). Но тем не менее, каждый раз когда магнитола включается - время сбивается и долго грузится система

I have one problem now- when having a bluetooth phone call- only the left speaker is playing the phone sound (really loud - cannot change it - the caller hears himself) and the music continues to play on the other speakers quietly. I got this head unit on my W212. The one problem I'm running into is that when the screen is on the radio from the command unit and I switch over to use an app, like UA-cam, the screen auto switches to media interface and not the aux port. I already checked and activated the aux port. Do you happen to know how to get the screen to auto switch to the aux port?
It happens automatically with me. when I turn on the video for example after the radio, the automatic turns on AUX

@@francissantiago6077 you have to go to settings from the android unit itself, then go to General, then hold down the one option you see there for like 10 seconds and you'll see a hidden option pop up. Which will be the middle option. You go in there and do 3 things...
Make sure you've:
1) activate your AUX port
2) set the AUX line column (horizontal) to match where your audio column is on your command unit
3) set up AUX vertical to match how many lines down, on your command unit, to reach the AUX option. Usually it will be 9 for preface lift W204 and 10 for post facelift.
If you still having issue, go to youtube, search for Raymond Urias channel and look for the "tricks and tips" for the android screen. In one of those videos he goes over what I have described here and shows you how.

Has your new screen started rattling? Mine did because I didn't install the 2 screws which meant to hold the vertical movements of the screen. I'd since installed the 2 screws and the rattling had stopped.

Hey Everyone, So About a month ago I got an Installed the 12.3" Android Screen From DMP Design, I did the Full Install myself and everything went smooth and fine at first except I heard a buzzing noise in the background, so I bought a Ground Loop Isolator off Amazon and that took care of my problem completely, but here about 1 week I've noticed that when listening to my Samsung S10+ , or My iPhone 7Plus, using my audio, Spotify, or Pandora the quality of the Audio seems kinda distorted and I cannot figure out why for the life of me!!! I haven't changed any settings at all. I don't have Bass up crazy, I can put my ear down to door speaker and up to tweeter and its deff distorted badly. but call me crazy, it seems to come and go sometimes I travel it seems fine, but most times it sounds bad to my ears, Others may not notice as badly as I do, But I can hear clear as day. It's only when I use android auto , or apple auto connect. if I connect the mobile hotspot and use my data from phone and connect Spotify, pandora, my music, It's perfect sound, so I'm so confused. Does anyone out here have any ideas as to why or what could be causing this problem??? Thanks, I haven't checked the factory settings on the Screen settings yet. when I switch back to factory radio and CD audio it sounds Fine too. only Android Auto/Apple Auto, which is how I normally connect mostly it seems easiest to do. 2014 W204 C300
